WAS his cab for the taking but the rule: snooze ,you lose. If not for the other guy, he might have jibber jabbered on the phone all day and got back to the office too late to get the wrong number phone call from Jared and then no story for a movie so it all worked out thanks to that guy.
it totally cracked me up the first time i heard it… “You know what? I’m a mean guy & i’m pissed off… you have no idea the kind of crap people are pulling, and everyone's walking around like they’re in a damn Enya video!” LOL! 8-)
@@dustbinfilms lmao no it’s not you lunatic. And it’s not a TV remote. This movie was set before the 2008 financial crisis and that’s what most home phones looked like in the mid 2000s.
Sort of. It's not that he loves his job per se, but what drives Mark and gives him purpose is critiquing everything. That's why he got dinged by his rabbi in Hebrew School for trying to find inconsistencies in the Torah. In finance, he gets to do what gives him purpose, which is deconstructing the smoke and mirrors of the industry, and especially its boosters, cheerleaders, and double-dealers. He hates the industry itself, but loves that he can point out the BS in it and give his family a living by doing so.
LOL, only needy people think you have to say "I love you" during every conversation with your spouse. The guy drops everything to answer the phone every single time she calls him, I'd say he's pretty devoted to her.
This is one the best scenes in movie history. Soooo sooooo well written.
I love my job.
Patricio Venegas u hate ur job
I love lamp
@Michael Hayden You hate your job.
@@napoleonsolo5929 - Hey fucker! That's my cab! Fuck you!

Fighting over a cab, What a warm New York memory!
Very comforting.
That’s totally his cab. How you gunna walk to the curb, not hail a cab and just grab it
Yes, the guy trying to steal the ride is the sort of a*hole that's wrong with the world today. ME ME ME
@@ab-bc2gr "Trying to skate in on my cab? We're not doing lines in the bathroom at Waldorf Astoria, bro!" WTF was that guy thinking?

It gets even better when you realize that Steve Carell is basically doing the same character as "Prison Mike" from The Office.
Mark Baum: unhappiness makes him happy.
It's hard to say but he may be my favorite character in the movie, and Jared haha just pure entertainment
I love all the cast/characters in this film 💯
Best executed film in a long time!
One of my favorite scenes
Deep down, people DO know something's wrong. That's why they're walking around all "Sail away, sail away, sail away..." They don't want to face it.
"I love my job...hey fuck you! Fuck you!!!!" LOL!
If Jared Vennett had said "No, that's my cab", the other guy would be powerless to argue.
Conversation between me and my therapist be like 😅
looks awesome. Wonderful scene.
You're happy when you're unhappy!
That’s my cab.
That's a Michael Scott moment
Specially when he said "that's my cab"
If you enjoyed the movie, READ THE BOOK! It's great.
Wow uncle Ben really loves his job
They did a great job explaining complicated material. I really enjoyed this one, "I'm jacked to the tits"!

Hey, it's Aunt May!
Pero si recien empiezo 😅 todavia no puedo decidir eso 😓
marsei tomei is lowkey a beast
So this is what Michael's been up to since his days in Scranton... Stressed and suicidal 😭
Love this movie
Why is the woman talking on a TV remote lmao
It’s symbolic of our reliance on the media

just like now where most people talk using either rectangle coaster or a clipboard
I AM STEVE CARELL in this scene! I feel EXACTLY like this all the time (especially about judging the people part).
You should try meditation

They left out the curse words, wtf....
My question is: Does Mark actually love his job?
He doesn’t but he’s systematically conditioned himself into thinking that he does

Too bad they edited out the F you drops. I love Steve Carell but when he acts like he has turret's syndrome yelling out F bombs, I love him even more.
One of the only good scenes of this bore of a film.
