महाद्रिपार्श्वे च तटे रमन्तं सम्पूज्यमानं सततं मुनीन्द्रैः। सुरासुरैर्यक्षमहोरगाद्यै: केदारमीशं शिवमेकमीडे ॥
भावार्थ :
जो भगवान् शंकर पर्वतराज हिमालय के समीप मन्दाकिनी के तट पर स्थित केदारखण्ड नामक श्रृंग में निवास करते हैं, तथा मुनीश्वरों के द्वारा हमेशा पूजित हैं, देवता-असुर, यक्ष-किन्नर व नाग आदि भी जिनकी हमेशा पूजा किया करते हैं, उन्हीं अद्वितीय कल्याणकारी केदारनाथ नामक शिव की मैं स्तुति करता हूँ ।
