- Last year, Google Arts & Culture and Jacquard by Google launched the first artist-in-residency program with the goal of exploring synergies between technology, art, and fashion at Google Arts and Culture Lab in Paris. Curated by extraordinary Pamela Golbin, the program enabled three artists to conceive of and create works that explored textiles, connectivity, and creativity over the course of a five month residency.

What? What's this exactly? Messaging and vision and reactive and infinite possibilities.. but could you show an example that people can relate to?
I doubt that Jacquard is an actual product / technology. It seems more like a name that google uses to group all their wearable projects.
i feel that almost every google “project” is somewhat flawed.. they have so many “projects” yet i have yet seen one actually working in real life. remember google glass?

I am a fabric sourcer living in China, and have been following up on Google's Jacquard since many years now, if you guys need any help in researching how to take Google Jacquard to large scale manufacturing I could help to connect with some fabric manufacturing factories from Keqiao (China). Seems wow! But isn't there a possibility of getting lost in the new version of virtual reality? Initially, people may like it but eventually, we will have a hard time figuring out what is real until we start believing the new fake sensation as real. Not necessarily what I comment would turn out to be the direction of this new invention, but I guess we should focus on how to introduce such technology without disturbing the reality. Else the only alternative left with the humans to make out the difference would be to somehow start accessing the brain to the extent where they start to evolve with the new ability to sense the real difference.
