Great song from a great singer, songwriter, musician AND film star. He was playing and singing to an energized audience. Every time I hear “Rain On The Scarecrow”, I think of a plowed-under field somewhere in the Midwest that had seen better days, To all the nay-sayers out there, what have you done in your life? Hmmmm?

I lived in illinois)Mt. Sterling) in 1983-84 and remember lots of friends strugeling to get by farming and the thing was the big farmers sallowed up everything cause the bigger you got the more money you got from the Goverment I knew some that got as much $200,000 a year
