      They had to deliberate on 6 charges, making a decision on each charge individually. They also had to go through weeks of evidence to decide what they did. Each charge had several subparts listed underneath that they also had to determine if the prosecution covered well enough. Being a juror is a huge responsibility, and they all took it seriously. Seven hours seems pretty fast to me for all they had to deliberate on.

    • @audrieking7109
      @audrieking7109 Год назад +3

      He explained in another interview that it wasn't that he didn't think she was guilty, but he wasn't sure the prosecution presented enough evidence that proved the *murder* charge *beyond a reasonable doubt.* They have to go with the evidence presented to them in court, not just how they feel. Once some of his fellow jurors presented what compelled them to believe she was guilty of that specific charge, then he was able to piece all the evidence together to convict her of that charge. I'll also add that he didn't have any reservations with convicting her on conspiracy to murder Tylee, just hesitated that there was enough evidence for the full-blown murder charge. There wasn't as much evidence connecting her to Tylee, so it makes sense.
      Many people worried they wouldn't have enough evidence to convict her of the murder charges for Tylee and JJ, and only convicting her of conspiracy. It was also unclear that they had enough to convict her on conspiracy to kill Tammy, which Saul said in another interview that they decided that one last because it was the hardest to prove with the evidence provided.

    Tylee and JJ were not THEIR children, they were HER children (though, in the end, she wasn’t a mother). It also enraged me when they refer to them as ‘Chad’s step-children’; he was still married to, and living with, Tammy when they were murdered, and had never been their step-father. I don’t know if it’s the media’s way of sensationalizing the story but I find it disrespectful to, not only Tylee and JJ, but to their families that truly love and grieve them.

    • @audrieking7109
      @audrieking7109 Год назад

      I don't think he said he didn't think she was guilty of it, but that he wasn't initially sure the prosecution had proved that particular charge beyond a reasonable doubt. He was convinced that they proved the conspiracy for Tylee's murder well enough, but wasn't sure that they presented enough evidence on the murder charge itself. Once hearing the points of view of other jurors, he was able to reasonably determine that they had enough evidence to convict her on that. Remember, there was a tonnnn of evidence presented to them over many dates and with many people involved. There were probably points he didn't remember fully when they began deliberating on that charge. They also didn't have as much evidence for the murder charge on Tylee as they did for JJ's. They have to base it off of actual evidence, whether they think she did it or not. I'm sure he knew she did do it, but convicting is more than that

    • @trinalittlefield6294
      @trinalittlefield6294 Год назад +1

      @@audrieking7109 it's actually not. You can convict on circumstantial evidence. It's completely up to the jury whether they chose to believe the prosecution or the defense. Beyond a reasonable doubt is just that. As long as the prosecutor convinced you beyond a reasonable doubt- then so be it. You'd have to be dumb as hell to not be convinced after the defense rested and you were sent to deliberate. The 11 other jury members clearly didn't struggle. This fool just wanted to seem interesting and get an interview.

      He was unsure the prosecution presented enough evidence to convict her on the murder charge for Tylee. He was more sure on all the other charges, but he wasn't sure they had enough to actually convict her. Once being reminded of certain pieces of evidence, he did conclude the prosecution had presented enough evidence for that charge. I'm sure he knew she was guilty of it the whole time, but that's different than convicted someone based on evidence in the court. Many people weren't sure they'd have enough evidence for that charge or the murder charge on JJ, thinking they just might get her on the conspiracy charges. 2-3 other jurors weren't sure they had enough evidence for the conspiracy charge on Tammy's murder. They have a lot to go through, and they have to convict beyond a reasonable doubt
