The thing is since last year everyone talks about the powerfull dream trio of the japanese team, but truth is, it always was a quartet. Yamauchi is great and way too underrated by international fans.
I agree with this. Some fans really need to appreciate middle blockers too as well as the quicks they give and jump float serves that gives the team aces
I think it's the combination of Sekita the setter and Yamauchi that make them deadly when they're in sync. Sekita now plays in Poland but he should be known as one of the best ever setters in VB history. Again their quick attack is hard to defend.
JPN middles need to develop their consistency especially in blocking opponents middle blockers, having Ishikawa and Nishida in a team is an advantage but if their middles could not be able to support they would become very predictable
I think Japanese mbs are weak. Their serve, spike and block are all weaker than other teams in VNL. I’ve watch their games for years. They didn’t improve, seldom have solid spike and their block often get destroyed. The OH and OP may even block better than these mbs.
He's a middle blocker blocking no one haha If blocking air counts, he's definitely one of the best mb in the world lol. Must be a crazy effort to collect these blocks.
Underrated player for jpn. When he and his setter gets in sync theyre very deadly.

SO TRUE. Their one and only good mb is Kentaro, and he's barely selected as one of the starting 6, wth?
