Every year they go faster and faster and faster, so yes i have tried to live by these words most of my life, this band changed my life when i first heard the album Live at the Filmore East, been a fan ever since
What a great message in this song. We, as you stated, are never promised tomorrow. It's human nature to procrastinate.... and put things off. What I take from this song is...... enjoy your life and stop putting things off that you are able to do... TODAY. The PAST is GONE, Today is HERE, and there is no guarantee for tomorrow. Great song, great lyrics and a great reaction. Take care...
@@Jude_196 for sure. I'd have seen them 11 more times if it had been possible. The overall vibe was always just so welcoming and nothing but cool people all around!
Wow....Great song... And great reaction. Love you guys. Thank you for the life lessons. This is why your channel is so good. We always get your true response that comes from your personal experience. Thank you from all your fan base. Godspeed.
I heard somewhere and never forgot...yesterday is history is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, is why it is called the present...Love you guys! Keep on!
Gregg had the music mostly done for this song when his brother passed. The song lyrically deals with Duane's death and returning veterans from Vietnam.
ABB was a PRICELESS TREASURE!!! LOVE THEM - THANKS for reacting to them....just SO GOOD!! Still love In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed from the Fillmore!! SUCH A GREAT JAM!!!
I started listening to your reactions several months ago and I enjoy your unique perspective. I am a 71 year old whose favorite band is the Allman Brothers. I’m a little biased, but every song they play is amazing. You will find no end to their music. Also check out Derek and the Dominos by Eric Clapton and Layla. Eric recruited Duane to play on it. That and Allman live at Filmore East are complete masterpieces. The Allman created Southern Rock. A current band you need to try is Tedeschi Trucks Band. Susan and Derek are a married couple how each had a band. Derek also played for the Allman Brothers, she opened for them, they met and the rest is history. She has a voice that’s between Janis Joplin and Bonnie Raitt. Simply amazing. Derek is. One of the best guitarist ever, slide or regular. Clapton recruited him also . If you decide to do a reaction please find a live version on you tube, you need to hear them live. They are a 12 piece ensemble, 2 guitars, 2 drummers, horn section and backup singers. It’s an amazing big sound. Try there’s a break in the road.
I agree 100%, Summer is always too short, Winter is too long, and there isn't enough time between Christmases to recover financially. That is life, i guess. We do the best we can with the time we have. Love you both, please keep reacting to all the great music!
Love the song and your channel. It's impossible to "waste time." Time, if you think there's such a thing, is, was, and always will be. You might waste your life, but Time doesn't care.
This was such a great Blues Band. They are all gone to be with the lord now, but their music will still be here to enjoy. Greg and Duane Allman, Dickie Betts, and the others were top shelf musicians and artists. Thanks folks God Bless
Glad you both rnjoyed "Ain't Wastin' Time More" by Allman Brothers. One of my favorite bands. I'll highly recommend "Revival" from 2nd album, Idlewild South, it takes you to church. Also "Not My Cross to Bear" from Debut LP another blues/gospel inspired song. You'll luv 'em. Peace
You can't react to Almann brothers without reacting to Soulshine. Or let me recommend Warren Haynes: bank of the deep end or coal tattoo. Brillant music 👌👌👌
The Allman Brothers were one of the most talented bands ever. Duanne Allman is one of the top 5 guitarists in Rock Music ever. Dickey Betts is not far behind. Two drummers, bass, and Greg Allman round out the country, jazz, and blues that is the Allman Brothers. "Whipping Post" is one of the top 10 songs in Rock Music. Live version at Filmore East is great.
Fantastic job ! Absolutely love your reactions. Here's a couple more hidden gems, Pony boy and revival I've forgotten if you heard statsboro blues. It almost makes it worth being old, lol.
These Days by Jackson Browne and Wasted Time by The Eagles. Or try and find Gregg Allman and Jackson Browne singing These Days together. They were friends for a long time. There’s a great live version of them singing.
Loved the reaction (yours are the best on RUclips), but you might want to consider repositioning your ring light, it’s reflecting off of Dominika’s glasses.
We can all have dreams, yet we should still be content with where we are. None of us achieve all of our dreams. Find your happiness in a blue sky, some tasty food, good friends and family, and having put in a good day of work or play. Reaching one’s dreams doesn’t necessarily guarantee happiness, because we don’t know how we’ll perceive those dreams once they become reality.
Folks - when reviewing "jam bands" like the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead etc...pick a song and make sure it's the best live version you can find. You will wind up learning and appreciating.
Dickey Betts doing a great job on that slide guitar after Duane's passing.
The Allman Brothers - Whipping Post is a must listen .. One of the greatest songs of all time.
and Dreams.
The Allman Brothers are one of my favorite bands, next to Led Zeppelin, they have a huge catalog, every song well-written lyrically and musically.

Godspeed.
He wrote this as a tribute to his brother, Duane, who was killed in a motorcycle crash. Duane was one of the great slide guitar players of all time.
It was also written for the returning Vietnam veterans along with the loss of Duane.
And Duane IS the greatest Slide player of all time
Best band ever!
I heard somewhere and never forgot...yesterday is history is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, is why it is called the present...Love you guys! Keep on!
Oh, that's beautiful. Thank you 💚
🇬🇧 This one is new to me. It's so good. Singer has a great voice. 🎶🎼👍

That is why they call today the “Present”, it is a gift from God
Seize the day every day 😎

Great classic by the AB. Also check out Gregg's "Queen of Hearts" - very cool blues mixed with jazz. Thanks so much guys for this reaction!🧡

Ooh I liked this on too! What a great sound and message! It is amazing how the hours and days can drag by but those years fly by so fast.

You guys need to hear SOULSHINE. The most uplifting song in the catalog.
❤❤❤❤❤
Southern Electric Blues! At its best! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
BLACK HEARTED WOMAN, STAND BACK are still my faves after 50 years.

Now we're cooking. Thank you for the allman brothers❤
All we can do is enjoy and make the best of the time we have. We don't know the end. So, like Tim McGraw says. Live Like You Are Dieing! ❤
Time to start exploring their Live at Filmore East record....arguably, one the greatest live recording ever made!
You can't react to Almann brothers without reacting to Soulshine.

The late, great bassist Berry Oakley drives this song along.

Love it. Thank you 😊💚
We only have today is my mantra….enjoy it,for we are not guaranteed another.
One of the songs completed after Duane Allman's untimely passing, I believe his loss was the reason for the lyrics
Mayne you mentioned, others have I'm sure, written by Greg after his brother Duane died.
These Days by Jackson Browne and Wasted Time by The Eagles. Or try and find Gregg Allman and Jackson Browne singing These Days together. They were friends for a long time. There’s a great live version of them singing.
🤘🤘

Yes, thank you. It's a work in progress. Since my new glasses are bigger, we need to find a better angle. 👓
👍

Well said! You put in words exactly what I was thinking. Much love from both of us 💚
You need to do 'Whipping Post', they sounded different with Duane Allman.
Time goes by fast. Only one alive in that picture.
If you like these lyrics then you'll also enjoy "Don't Blink" by Kenny Chesney.
With the help of God and true friends I come to realize I still had two strong legs and even wings to fly!
Key board (Gregg alman) was married to Cher I think
I have done very few things in my life that I regret , but I regret not doing so many things
Sad truth for so many of us 💚
Folks - when reviewing "jam bands" like the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead etc...pick a song and make sure it's the best live version you can find. You will wind up learning and appreciating.
Check Tedeschi Trucks Band.
What happens when you were relying on lawfare, it doesn't work, and you have no plan B. Checkmate.
That's true. Sadly too many going through the same thing 😔 Love and peace from Romania 💚
