You definitely got a follow from me here. I'm looking at changing my Niv-Mizzet, Parun deck into The Locust God because Niv-Mizzet felt unfair just chasing after something like curiosity. So, hearing that your philosophy is making strong decks that are "more fair" is exactly what I'm looking for and how I try to build my decks.
Love this deck tech. I used to be a big fan of Niv Mizzet. Then I went to college and when I was getting back into the game I cracked a fat pack for a makeshift sealed game with my friends. I opened Locust God and was much more inspired to play him because Young Pyro+Molten Rebirth was my very first UR deck. I have been trying to re-tool my Locust God deck and you have some great ideas that I want to use as well.
Really enjoyed this deck update Locust God is one of my favorite decks, him and Melek were two of the first I put together, haven’t played him since pandemic started as have played so little and wanted to play some of my newer decks. Will definitely incorporate some of these into him. Had already included midnight clock and underworld breech
Really like the idea of this deck, but I just don't see why Into The Night sees no love as a wheel card, apart from turning on werewolf decks it is the same as change of fortune. Or am I missing something else?
I play kalamax; and getting to attack with him lately is like spotting a unicorn. So some tech you might wanna consider is Runechanter’s Pike if your locust god gets hated off. I love knocking off players with a 38/2 Goblin Electromancer. 2 cmc so Muddle the Mixture tutors it also.
I literally just bumped into this guy while scanning my collection last weekend and was like, "WTF am I not using him??" And then, here's the perfect build. Thanks! Any updates since this last update I should know about?

Yeah same here man. Dropping niv mizz cause it's to combo heavy this vid is perfect.

Appreciate the breakdown, I was looking to build a new deck and this looks perfect
Derik can play in my playgroup anytime. My dude self-regulates and wants to play instead of compete.
Well gracias! I play too much infect to not self regulate in basically every other aspect of the game lol
Really enjoyed this deck update

Appreciate it!
Hope you cover the scorpion God and scarab God too! Was looking for some guidance for my scorpion god/yawgmoth deck
I adore Locust God but I just feel bad playing with such a powerhouse sometimes. My playgroup could never beat it.

Where would you put this deck on a 1-10 scale? I run 3 equipments with hexproof/shroud and a few counterspells as Locust God is usually kill on sight
I ended up tearing my Locust God deck apart and going Jeskai Partners with Brallin/Shabraz (sharknado).

Will def have to find a way to sneak Runechanter's Pike in...
Interesting. I have a lot these cards in mine but still feel like ours are two completely different decks. Which I think is actually pretty cool 😂

Hello. Love this commander but seems too strong for my playgroup sadly
Yeah I feel your pain there definitely not a deck I get to play as much as I'd like.
