My mum had one of these back in the 80s when knitwear was everything! She made us all so many jumpers and cardigans, even little two pieces for my baby cousins at the time! Enjoy the process it can get frustrating at times
When my nana passed away my family was going to throw and antique version of this away. I took it. I’m getting it out of my garage tomorrow to see if I have all the pieces to set it up. 😍
I'm happy that you were able to set up your machine. I'm confident you'll learn what you need to make great things. I wish I had some advice, but I don't knit or sew. I like watching your excitement and seeing your projects, though.
I just got my machine last week. I totally get the excitement. My favorite thing to knit is a shrug. Years ago I had an ultimate Sweater Knitting Machine and the shrug was a pattern that came with mine. I modified it to more accurate lengths and I can have one made up in 2 hours.
I recommend a scarf or a shawl to start. Then, try more complicated stuff that requires shaping or drawstrings or purling. But, like, don't try all the complicated stuff at once. At that point, try a hat, or a skirt, maybe, so you'll be capable of fixing it with sewing, if necessary, and hiding any mistakes on the inside. Oh, and after that, some simple, colorwork. That's probably what the second praying mantis antenna (rabbit ear) is for. Maybe you can embroider or appliqué on anything that looks too dull. And, when you can crochet again, you can make pretty borders, because I dunno if you can do yarn overs on the machine to make a picot hem. Or! You can take up fingerloop braiding (if it won't aggravate your injury) to make braided borders and sew them on. There's so much you can do! Also, maybe you can try a cardigan made out of fabric panels, and sew them together. If you have knitting questions, try renowned knitting blogs, instead of tutorials. Look past the specific stuff (needle placement) to find information on fibers and the construction of a piece, sweater math, how to block the fabrics you make, how to store them, some of which you probably already know from crocheting, but still, the information is out there! And let's be real, I trust the people who've been doing this for decades, over adolescent videographers. PS: You are highly entertaining in your posting your struggles; don't leave behind, or hide, your genuineness. Viewers connect to honesty, not perfection. 🙂
omg that is so funny. I too have a loft that is hoarding my sewing machine and fabric. I have plans to install lighting in there and put a table in there for my sewing and knitting. lol
I actually really don’t know what you could make haha, maybe some sort of tracking of your plants kinda temp blanket style but idk how that would work haha😅 Anyways, so happy to see you happy and playing with yarn! This is the stuff that I wouldn’t usually watch as it stresses me out so I was going to skip this video but then I was like “It’s Holly, c’mon it’s gonna be fun” and you did not disappoint friend!
Hi Holly this is the first time I see your videos but let me tell you I’m really interested in getting a knitting machine like you my problem is that I don’t know if they’re too expensive and where to find them ❤🍀
Thatvyou CRIED from missing your hobby made me roll my eyes and then I realized its because i wish i could cry when i dont have space for my hobbies. My immediate reaction is still “thats the dumbest most privileged thing I’ve ever had to read” but at the end of the day it’s important to you and i koved watching this random vid on my fyp

My parents gave me a knitting machine for Christmas one year. It was the best present ever! I made many sweaters, many sweaters.
Hi, this is meg from Aussie. Girl, you are a breath of fresh air.
Thank you for your honesty, fun, mistakes and being real.
Love it.
Meg

This looks really fun but it’s wayyyyyy too expensive (for people wondering it’s over $500 usd)
They last forever though. I have knitting machines that were made in the 80s. Still working great. 😊
Damn
Lol I wanted to buy one but 500? That's steep
I saw one was 440 but still expensive :(
I can't even afford those $60 Sentro machines, so $500 is way out of my budget.

I love knitting!whenever I’m stressed I can just focus on knitting!
You’re so underrated! I loved the vid and I’m now very tempted to get a machine 👀
That looks so cool!! Loved watching you figure out how to set up! Looks so hard.

I’m so impressed! I could have never figured that out!
I wonder if this machine would fit in a keyboard case.
Really enjoyed your unboxing video. Definitely putting this knitter on my wish list.

Thank you!!!
Now you’re tempting me to start procrastinating a new hobby😢😂😂😂
I love to purchase this knitting machine . But I am a beginner knitter . Is it easy to learn to work with this ?
I love my 2019 one. It took me two extra months to finish but it was my biggest project and one of my masterpieces!! 🧶
Please put the link to were you got your machine please.😊

Where did u get the knitting machine
If you have any interest in historical knitted garments, you could try doing those on the knitter. If it works
That would be really cool! Not exactly the same thing, but I go to a lot of renaissance festivals and and I want to make my costumes on here
I don’t know if you’ve seen my more recent videos, but I’ve made a few full sweaters on the machine now

I have a knitting machine, it's not like this though. It's a circle.
I want to get a circle one too!!!
Is this medical tape on your arm? Crafting is tough on the wrist, is this to her with that?
I know a video that you can look at to learn Crochet-look beanie on the LK 150 knitting machine by Anna Haferman
Where do I buy one?
the way she laugh in 4:08
Try hand knitting
It is easy
I found a video on how to cast off on this machine for you. ruclips.net/video/0IOUMqQBViA/видео.html
I’ve been knitting for 5 years. And crocheting for about 1 year
