my prediction on the first map is when they go to the hotel to evacuate all people are still human not zombies. and ceda give them some room. after that i think rochelle,coach,nick,eliss heard some ceda employes that the military is leaving the hotel because they cant handle the city now. after they heard that the survivor rush to go to the top of hotel to come to helicopter but they late. after that all people in the hotel become zombie thats why they all shocked when they see the people turn into zombie. and for the fire stair i think some people block it to prevent zombie to getting them.thats why they need to find elavator (i hope you understand my explanation in firts map💀)
