--Draping:
- Draping is a hanging technique, designers have always been using it, it's the origin of charts.
- Draping is also known as 3D design, from pieces of material, cut, precise measurements, we will convert it into a plane, then create a template, also called a chart, after It uses diagrams to create the same products but on different materials
I am intrigued and in awe! I have never seen this particular adjustment with the outside shoulder/armhole, and I am guessing this is part of your secret to the beautiful fit of your garments! Also, I have never seen this specific dart treatment, and I’m guessing this is also part of your secret to the dart manipulation you execute so beautifully on your designs! Just to clarify, at this stage the dart points basically meet at the bust apex, right? I will work up my own muslin and pattern to this point, and wait patiently for your next video!
Small things, like your precise use of ruler, even while muslin is still attached to the dress form is a very good idea, as well. I really appreciate your precise attention to each and every step. I would love for all my clients to have the same body shape as the mannequin I work with but each one is different and I don't think they want to spend a day (at least) in my workshop 😅 so that I can cut my patterns on them, while I will continue to make custom patterns for each one of them 😉

You can find it on ebay. The mannequin with collapsible arms is expensive but the one has torso only is very cheap $50. Or you can find it at JoAnn fabrics store.
