Dude, a collab b/w you and Cryo Chamber and Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse would be FIRE. I would love to see what y'all put together. Love you!
FIrst melody is fantastic ! great work
Thank you!
The Banshee would fit perfectly in this playlist
sound so sad
"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown."
Hunger is more ancient than fear though.
@@fabiotieri3155 Hunger is not an emotion
It's weird that humans are scared of the unknown so much, when we've never really known anything, really.
@@edmonstar There will be infinite monsters in a place you dont know anything about, thanks to our imagination.
Death does have a sting 🐝. It’s the grief of those left behind .in the year of covid 2mths ago my mother past away . She was a beautiful and happy lady worked all of her life . I feel for all people who struggle with this. I go to music for meditation and relief thanks 👍🇦🇺
“For although nepenthe has calmed me, I know always that I am an outsider; a stranger in this century and among those who are still men. This I have known ever since I stretched out my fingers to the abomination within that great gilded frame; stretched out my fingers and touched a cold and unyielding surface of polished glass.” - H.P. Lovecraft, ‘The Outsider’
Not my personal favorite of Lovecraft’s, but still a great story. The Shadow Over Innsmouth will probably always be the best horror story IMO.
@alastorsasylum3342
I'd say _At the Mountains of Madness_ was but, that's just personal opinion.
@@Mr.Ambrose_Dyer_Armitage_Esq. I second this, that's my personal favorite! Third one is "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" and first one is "The Dream-quest of Unknown Kadath", but that last one is from his Dream Cycle, so it doesn't has that cosmic horror At The Mountains of Madness has.
@@daliblue_ "Dreams in a Witch's house" is also a great story. But Lovecraft has a large number of interesting shorter stories.
It's Dagon for me, I don't know why, maybe that claustrophobic feeling at the end, or how short it is to pack in so much imagery.
This is the perfect playlist to listen to while your brain is melted and sucked out of your skull so your consciousness floats around the universe without solace for an eternity
There is solace. No parking fees. No gas prices. No insurance, some thing.no rivalries.
👍👍👍
I guess I'm kinda glad I never hung out with you guys.
So basically being devoured by a mind flayer
You mean getting high???
My mind gets put in a metal jar for transport to another world.
NO WAY.. i always love reading books while listening to your playlist, and i just bought some Lovecraft books, that will fit perfectly! thanks nobody ♥️
I hope you enjoy the strange tales he writes, most can be bad most are amazing!. My favourite of his work is "the temple"
@poetforspirits Hey, which stories do you recommend with CAS to begin with?
@poetforspirits Thanks a bunch for great recommendations!
With hindsight, which story would you have prefered to start with/which is your favorite?
@poetforspirits Dude, thanks so much. I've almost run dry of fresh Lovecraft supplies, so it is good to get a new one!
feel the despair eat away your dreams, your hope crushed under the foot of a cosmical abomination, your life melt into the nothingness of existence
I literally just started writing a D&D dark campaign inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, thank you
ay wtf i'm about to run one starting tmr hell yeah!!
That's the spirit!
I did too. Im making mine have multiple endings depending on what the players go for
Time to switch to a different game system.
@@Midknyghte why, it's not like there's anything wrong with the ruleset.
And you can't copyright a ruleset, so we can just use it for free forever ;-)
Was that fear that we felt, or something else entirely? We tried to convince ourselves that it was just our imagination, that we were being foolish and paranoid, but the entity’s presence was too insidious, too pervasive, to ignore. And so we lived with our anxiety, our constant unease, knowing that the entity was always watching, always waiting, always ready to strike.
Probably how pyschopath thinks
@@Moodboard39 just an extract from some book dw
You literally could not have uploaded this at a better time for me!!! I just bought a game in which you play as a Lovecraftian eldritch horror trapped as a human, and really wanted some background music since it's an interactive fiction and doesn't have any of its own. Thank you so much as always for your playlists! All the love, h'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn
May I ask what this game is called?
@@Human-NPC i think The Passenger interactive fiction game
@@Human-NPC It's called The Passenger! It's an interactive fiction/text adventure that just came out where you play as an injured eldritch horror forced to hide in a human flesh casket while you slowly regain your essence. It's only $5 right now on Steam and I'd definitely recommend it if you don't mind a lot of reading! I've been having a ton of fun exploring different options and leaning more into either my otherworldlyness or humanity and playing around with my stats.
You must know of the Lovecraftian influence on Bloodborne? Story is worth a quick read if the game play isn't for you
Hellpoint too.
Lovecraft has been a huge inspiration to my short stories and I think my published work has a little of him in it. His work absolutely is beautiful to me and am so happy I stumbled across his work many years ago.
As a fan of Lovecraft's works, I'm so surprised to see this playlist! It's perfect!!
"There are things for which one is not prepared, in the deep sea you cannot see beyond your feet and the faint rays of the sun that illuminate the abyss, but in the sea you know what awaits you and no one would get in the way." in the middle of the ocean without someone accompanying you in a boat, but up there where the stars have no end and the galaxies adorn the view of the dark abyss of space, you don't know what there is and if something happens, it's like being bitten by a shark in the middle of the ocean. sea, as I already said, no one goes into the sea alone, but there if something happens to you there will be nothing you can do and if seriously there is something capable of biting like a shark swimming in that dark abyss of stars and galaxies and that is capable of "To talk to you just by looking into your eyes, it's terrifying to see how those dark but bright eyes that seem lifeless begin to speak to you in a language that you've never heard in your life and that you suddenly understand. That's not scary, that's horror." - fragment of a book I'm writing PS: I used Google Translate so there may be translation errors
Imagine seeing that on the cornish sea coast? Wow..... Dark but captivating.... Love all of h. P lovecrafts work...
(GASP)!
Yes! Another one I’d requested! You’re amazing!
I always read HPL for Christmas season. This is the best Christmas present I could get!!
I've been gathering music like this for my Arkham Horror sessions. Glad to see that nobody has made a playlist like this.
oh. I just got chills as soon as I started the video. this is going to be fun.
This is a playlist I didn’t know I needed in my life.
The true cosmic horror is there is a corporate ad hidden between this beautiful piece of art waiting to arise and ruin all of its perfect ambience into madness.
And that my friends is true evil. Quote the raven.
Thanks for the video and merry Christmas!
This is basically the same dream I've had since little- end of the world- dark - very little light- people screaming in the ocean - roaring waves crashing - off in the distance you can see this figure- pulling people out eating them - same dream over and over up until I could control them but it come back ever so often- same exact dream of this. God leaves this world and the ones left behind are eaten up but this monster.
Acts chaprer 2 verse 14-17, i have been having these crazy dreams of god, and the heavens. I prayed to god for discernment as I thought "im not special and am sure these are just crazy dreams.", so i prayed for him to tell me if it was really him and I woke up with that chapter and verse in my head. I didnt know the verse so I got up went to my car and grabbed my bible to read it. And sure enough, its about the lords spirits delivering prophecys to the last generation before the end, go ahead and ready it for yourself, crazy tho how close god is, even though he feels so far. He lives within us, and sometimes those intrusive thoughts you just cant seem to shake are him afterall.
@@aidanpatterson1348 I believe that dream would be of the leviathan.
Wow that is the plot of the book The Fisherman by John Langan
@@Jase1912 interesting
This is great to listen to when playing Dredge, especially when its night
i think more specific playlists diving into lovecraft’s work would also be really cool eg. escaping the clutches of the kraken etc!
My absolute worst nightmare.
Just amazing, I'm addicted to this channel !
I was looking for such a playlist. Thank you!
Very good to immerse myself with this playlist while working on a game I'm creating with the same mood. Will use those as reference for the soundtrack later. Thank you!
I instantly got sensation of things not being where they should be. Going on my D&D playlist.
You continue to impress me, my friend.....
My guy I love your compilations and I always will, you have great taste in music and it always sets the mood when I’m doing my own thing. But there was something really special with the uploads that have a unique picture for every score/song within them. Do you think you'll do that again at some point in the future?
0:00-12:17
Earth.
Nothing to them.
A grain.
One of many.
Humanity.
Insects to them.
Less.
Vast domain.
Vast dominion.
Great beings.
Rulers of all things.
Appearances beyond what the mind can comprend.
All eyes who see driven to madness.
Here before.
Will remain long after.
*Rejoice.*
*Hail.*
*Hail.*

WOW great compilation of dark ambient music - thanks for sharing 👍
this is helping me a lot with focusing on my world lit homework, thank you!
highly recommend the artists Halgrath and Mount Shrine for future playlists. Seems like they'd be right up your alley
This scene kind of reminds me of The Shadow Over Innsmouth, but there needs to be a kind of Fish-Zombie-Human in the picture, not just a person we can't see. Love the Impressionist vibe of this pic, though.
These sounds touch my soul.......
My birthday’s tomorrow, so I’ll take this as a very cool, very eldritch early birthday gift.
Now i reading book of Arthur Meken. And these songs suit perfectly for this book.
Only when you listen to silence you'll realize what your soul want.
absolutely magnificent
*_"toil without song is like a weary journey without an end"_*
Thank you, I think I just needed to see someone say it today.
The first track is amazing.
I don't think I have fear of giant cosmic things, it's probably their inevitability if ever faced with one that would scare me.
Everything about love craft is like fascinatingly ironic to me considering he was a very mentally disturbed man, who _genuinely feared what he did not understand so strongly he put it into fictional writing_ he was like terrified of other races so much he wrote about someone _slowly turning into a fish._
Everything about him makes me want to shake him around in a jar like the terrified insect he is. As a psychologist, genuinely wish I could study his brain.
Yoda: The danger isn't to know the truth. See clearly I must.
Me: sometimes I wonder if that's true
They all know that something dark is coming! there is a sense of foreboding in the people, they seem to be too quite, almost holding their breath to hear better.
O-Oh heck yeah!
I love this dude and his wild mind
What can be more terrifying than to realize your living on someone else’s dreams?
I'm listening to this while studying 'O Chamado de Cthulu' in the Portuguese collection 'O Melhor de H.P. Lovecraft.'
lovecraftian and junji ito horror go well together.
Makes me wanna read a bit of the dreaded necronomicon of the mad Arab Abdul Alhazred
This will work very well with my DND Campaign. thanks
i was just reading a book about lovecraft yesterday and then I got this in my reccommended
The madening glimpse from beyond...
It is sacrilege to speak of the great ones...
But...
When the bottom of the abyss is full, and the great horror is stirring, so too the great terrors be awakened...
May you too, unwary traveler, speak the voice of old...
May you too, lost soul, remember the origin of your light...
May you too, immortal spirit, become like the gods of old, and trascend this realm beyond...
To the void of no return...
And...
Bring life to the shores of the old and forgotten humanity...
For they have forgotten who they were made in his image...
May you too, chanter in the darkness, be separeted from this illusion called 'life'...
And, become one with Yog-Sothoth... Supreme Arquetype hear our plea...
Please, deliver us from this doom...
The misery of existance in this realm of matter...
Save...
Us...
And may the dead raise, and smell the inscense!
Yoooohoo i just started reading a book of lovecraft short stories so this is perfect
My open world horror survival game will have a lovecraftian setting and entity who will be the antaognist and final boss of story mode
For some reason I can't get your Spotify to update, it hasn't updated since 'recalling memories of a christmas..." I can get to your new playlists from links here that take me to spotify, but not on your main page... odd
finaly, I can worship my boy Cthulhu without fear
I don't know what panoram is best if this with gloomy relax or the fucking real world of normal daily life
My world. The world of The Shadow.
A merry Christmas indeed
Incredible stuff
*Takes a sip of my lemonade and nods*
“This is fine.”
This makes me feel like I’m in wales
That's enough Insight for now...Time to retrieve my Blood Echoes for the nth time 💀
uso esses áudios para ler livros de terror, muito bom.
I was looking for a playlist to listen to while I start reading a Lovecraft book a friend gifted me; this is perfect!!
Hauntingly beautifu✨
Wish I had more eldritch horror monsters in my nightmares. I did have 3 and can't really complain since the fear was extreme but 3 doesn't feel like enough.
Careful what one wishes for
beautiful, strong picture
When you realize that we live in a reality
I awoke to the truth of who I am and that is the power of love ⤠thank you
I’m coming inside of the cosmic horror world!
Dude this hits hard -- ah! Just realized, the opening track's giving me them haunting-ass MacBeth (2015 Mikey Fassbender) vibes, cheers 🤙
weird it just played top radio hits for me. anyone else?
Ahh. My favorite nightmare trigger device.
That's such a cute name it's like minecraft but full of love :33~~💝💝
I love it ❤
i've also written a poem that reminds me of this playlist
with the title, the first thing that came to my mind was bloodborne
“Psycho in my mind lunatic hysteria, woke up in the mornin' and I got diphtheria.” - Eric Andre.
Pyscho live in horror in there minds .
25:20 This sounds familiar. Is this soundtrack used in a horror game? I think i heard this from a long time ago from somewhere...
Well... ups, here we go again...
When will live music videos come back, I miss them so much.
Looking forward to drink beer Dan play Disco Elysium with my big fella Cthulhu in my dream, enjoying agoraphilic buddy time
I love nobody
Remember folks though next to cuthulu and all the other ancient so called unknowable things we might be comparatively tiny but we are in no way insignificant. Case and point though in the works of love craft and other such authors we are compared to insects may I remind you ants kill 30 people on average per year? That’s more than the much more feared sharks. Likewise allergic reactions caused by bee stings can hospitalise people or even kill them to say nothing of mosquitoes, ticks and other such blood sucking insects who spread deadly diseases such as malaria. The Black Death was spread contrary to popular belief not by rats but the fleas on the rats that alone killed 25 million people in Europe alone. Interesting statistics for “simple insects” wouldn’t you say cuthulu so rember folks though the universe is strange, hostile and lonely we travel through far from defenceless. I’d posset perhaps the reason the old gods have yet to return might be for the same reason we don’t kick hornets nests you might not die but picking a fight with the anxiety ridden, nuke wielding, hairless apes might be more trouble than it’s worth.
This comment was far more cheering than I suspect it should have been. XD Thanks!
mesmerizing
This content is well-researched. A similar book I read was also meticulously prepared. "Stars Aligned" by Olivia Whitestone
Can you do classical betrayal playlist??
My headcanon is Nyarlathotep founded Ikea, and all of Azathoth's descendants are Swedish because he's Swedish
ME ENCANTÓ!!
The picture is horrific
Cthulhu fhtagn!
the creature remind me of Arrival
Me, a person of color: “hehe, I’m in danger”
Who owns the rights to this? I want to know if I can use it in a short film.
I'd imagine the individual artists own the rights to the music; "nobody" (channel owner) will be the one who made the playlist, but I'm not sure how much permission they'd be qualified to give you regarding the music itself. It wouldn't hurt to message them and ask; there should be some sort of address in the "About" section.
Where is this image from? Thanks alotl
*soon*
FINALLY
