My boys have been thoroughly enjoying watching your Kruger adventures and seeing all the amazing animals all the way from Australia. Keep up the great content :)
Greetings to you in Australia! I'm happy to hear they're enjoying the magic of Kruger with us. They have more episodes coming to look forward to and I hope they enjoy those just as much! 😁🚙
I liked that huge hippo when you see them in the water you don't realise how big they are. Young swallows were precious . Loved those elephant in the water. So glad you showed us how those warthogs eat on the grass roots you can actually see how she digs in the ground. The lions and the sunset were awesome . Enjoyed all these sightings. ❤
What I find most amazing about the hippo, is how quick they move for their size, especially on land. It was a scary moment that! 😳🦛 It was fantastic to end Day 9 with a sighting of lions, that's always exciting! I'm glad you enjoyed this episode. 😁🚙
Really enjoyed this one, what with your charging rhino, adorably naughty monkeys and gorgeous lion spotting. It'll be a bit of sadness to see you leave Kruger Park, though I know it was end of October. Today for us here in the Netherlands it's Sinterklaasdag! Cheers and thanks - always
Happy Sinterklaasdag! We weren't quite done with the Park just yet, so you have more episodes to look forward to. There's always plenty of sadness on the day we leave that place and even for a few days leading up to that day. 😥🚙 Thanks for accompanying us on Day 9!
Loved the video again, the animal watching is awesome, love love the close ups, is unreal 😊soooo good…which we had a KNP here, but we have different animals, enjoy your trips and a very merry Christmas from me in Perth 🇦🇺👍💜🎄 P.S. looking forward to the videos in 2025 😊😎👍👍🇦🇺💜
There is only one place like Kruger, but we'd love to visit your country too one day to check out your wildlife. 😍🦘 I'm glad you're enjoying our trip through the Park. We're hitting the long road again early next year and will be bringing you more exciting places then. Have a happy festive season. 😊🚙
@ , thank you so much, you will love Australia, very BIG and versatile, just your cup of tea, or MILO..😅👍 Have a good rest you two over the Christmas 🎄 season…best wishes from me 💜👍🎄🇦🇺☕️
Curtis, that bread and the coke… 🧐🧐,but then you made up for it spectacularly with the chops, pap en sous! Haha, and even taking care of the laundry at the same time. Seeing those lions at the end of the video brought back those memories of seeing the KWIDee with Sandy and Dusty barreling towards me in reverse while you were trying to reverse hill start it. Still can’t believe you managed to do that with all those cars and OSVs around, and that reverse gear survived, what a man!! Beers on me next time!
🤣🤣 Of all the places the battery could've died, it had to be at a multiple lion sighting, that still blows our minds! 😨🦁 We knew we couldn't ask anyone for help, and there just so happened to be an incline, so the reverse-start was our only option! We've relived that moment many times since and I'm happy you were there to witness it. 😁 I look forward to those beers next time! 🍻
Time flys when you're having fun 😁 Loved the Elephants crossing the road, especially the baby ❤ So glad that Hippo stopped charging your car😮 Happy to see the Lions!! Those chops looked Yummy 😋 Looking forward to our next trip 😂🎉❤
Time did indeed fly by, it was over before we knew it! 😕 That was one angry hippo, I'm glad I stopped when I did! 😳🦛 It sounds like you're having fun with us in Kruger, that's good to hear! 😝🚙
Yes the water bath and the dust bath is good for pachyderms skin. If I were to come back as an animal I would be an elephant. Thank you for the beautiful footage. I never get bored of elephants. ❤❤ I have always loved to eat fresh baked whole wheat farm bread with coffee. No butter no nothing. It's like eating rusks and coffee. Oh no! I can't believe this is the first time you have ice cream 🍦! You seem to really strictly watch your diet. I must say, I don't think think I could be that strict with myself
Sonia says you and her will graze together in Kruger in your next lives! 🤩🐘 We do try a little harder with our eating nowadays while we're away from home. Because we travel frequently, we developed some very bad eating habits along the way. 🙃 Don't make a mistake, we still snacked lots, all of which I didn't film. 😇 I'm glad that you're on board with the dry bread situation!
That spectacular African sunset was indeed a fitting end to another wonderful day of viewing. The hippopotamus in the road en route to Lower Sabie in the morning was thrilling - something I don't think happens too often. A lovely day indeed. Glad you had a few beers in stock to "calm the nerves" in the hectic run of chores back at camp in the evening Curtis! Roll-on day ten .....
My nerves definitely had to be calmed with all that running around! 🤣 Those chores had to be done before another storm caught us. Fortunately that didn't happen. I wish I had a beer to calm the nerves after the hippo charged us, it looked really angry! 😨🦛 We'll see you on Friday for Day 10, I look forward to it!
Yes, it's fantastic having Sonia walk around with me in camp. 🥰 The sunset was the absolutely perfect end to another perfect day in this perfect place! 😍🚙
Thank you, another wonderful episode. I agree about the modernization of Skukuza and the loss of some charm. What helps me is watching the delight on some foreigner's face when they see something new. It can be like watching a child see something for the first time.
While it's undeniable that Kruger, especially the South, has changed drastically over the last two or so decades, we'll always love the place. There are always roads which one can run away to to escape the maddening crowds and safari vehicles. 🚙😁 The rest of the Park has most of its charm left, fortunately. 😍
Oh, the sunset was breathtaking. Yes Sonia, I like the way you say, 'the last time, this year'. For sure, we want to visit the park in the Kwid again next year. I got so taken up, I started watching last years Kruger videos again.🤭 We saw the aftermath of the storm in the staff village. It snapped strong healthy trees like matchsticks. It must have been scary being in canvas. Looking forward to the trip Northwards.
You know it! We can and never will get enough of Kruger and will for sure be back! 😁🚙 We also saw quite a few trees damaged by the storm, and some really thick branches snapped off too. 😨🌳 Don't let Sonia hear me, but there was a hairy moment or two in the tent, but I pretended all was just fine! It's awesome sharing our love and our videos with a fellow Kruger lover. I also plan to watch our 2023 trip's videos again during December, to help ease the longing.
I think the 9:15 birds are Wire-tailed Swallow (the head pattern is certainly good for them as is the wirey tail). Another fab. video. Looking forward to trying the Wozza bars!!
Hi Curtis, Sonia, Dusty, and Sandy. Great video as usual . Enjoyed it very much . Loved the way the elephant curled its trunk around that tuft of grass. Observing the foraging of the animals is special. Plentiful elephants are a delight to see. Nice end to the day with the lion . martial eagle and likkewaan . Sunset was spectacular. Lovely supper you had and you managed to do everything with the threat of the impending thunderstorm . On a sidenote I still have my original Dixie's from my National Service 50 years ago. I read online 2700000 visitors are expected to visit the park this December At least you are heading north so the rest of your trip will be less busy
Good on you for hanging on to your Dixies! My replicas will have to do. They're pretty good copies and do the job, just like in the old days. The trunks of the elephants are actually incredible, one can't even believe what they can all do with them! As you probably know by now, we, especially Sonia, can never see enough elephants. 😍🐘 You're the weatherman, but I'm sure you'll agree with me that it was better to get done with the braaiing and undercover, in the case of a repeat situation of two nights before! 😁⛈️ That sunset was indeed spectacular! 🚙🌄 That number scares the living daylights out of me. I'm glad we're long back home already. I can only hope the necessary controls and measures are in place to protect our fauna and flora. 🤞🏻
Where ever you drive in the Kruger you always see something. That is the beauty of Kruger. The lions are huge - will not argue with them! I enjoyed today's trip Thank you much appreciated. Next one I am there
Yup, I won't look for trouble with the big cats either! 😁🦁 You're so right about Kruger, there really is never a dull moment, especially for Krugerholics like us. We find the greatest joy in the tiniest thing and we're happy to share them all with you. See you Day 10! 😝🚙
Multitasking is not really my thing, but the thought of another storm like two nights before, was breathing down my neck and I had to get the jobs done. 😁 I'm glad you enjoyed the animals of Day 9 with us. 😍🚙
Hi guys another awesome day in the Kruger the amount of elephants was amazing that tiny bull was the star of the herd lol.charged by a hippo !!! .the sign with the amount of time things take to degrade mind blowing. The ranger with the rifle real stuff the workers seemed spread out if it was me I would be like the rangers shadow lol .as always I love listening to your memories about the birds you could call it a aviary or a dove cote because they were let out .the croc in the gushing water lovely. Your disciption of the character bread and rolls brilliant 👏.it was certainly busy with the monkeys in the Osvs .I agree with you both about the amount of people but the size of the park can take it .hopefully the terrapin was OK I did laugh with you about the whispering lol mind blowing golf course wildest in the world only in South Africa. You ticked the box with lions 🦁. The African sunset will always bring back memories. I must give you credit Curtis the multi tasking was amazing 👏 😉 and the reason for the beer I'm going to use 😉 for nerves. Truly African meal.incredible video thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one
That tiny elephant bull was certainly the star of that particular show, too cute! 😁🐘 That hippo came at quite a speed! I wish I was filming, but I can still see its angry face. I assume because we were between it and the water. 😨🦛 I'm not the world's greatest multitasker, but I didn't want to be caught outside if another wild storm broke loose! Our meal was top-class, if I have to say so myself and the beer made it go down an absolute charm. Cheers to you, it makes my heart happy to hear how much you still enjoy travelling with us, after all this time. 😊🚙
Meat defrost very fast when you put it, still in the wrapping, in a zink or bucket with enough ordinary cold tap water. If the meat packet has a polisterine bed, put it upside down in the water...
Well its nice to see all the animals, looks like you are buying yourself some property there...lol. Ja a hippo is a scary animal, I believe they can run up to 30km an hour. Looking forward to the next video..
I'm telling you, that hippo came charging at top speed! 😳🦛 We could happily live within the boundaries of the Park for the rest of our lives, no problem! That would be a dream come true. 😝
Thank you for your kind compliment. We do enjoy everything about Kruger, from the huge elephants to the little swallows and even the small insects. That's what makes the entire place for us. We normally have a time crunch on our long-distance travels, but we took it extra slow in Kruger this time around and it was WONDERFUL! 😍 Sonia still has the same knee issues, but she has worked hard the past few months to get stronger, so she is able to walk longer distances without too much discomfort. I'm super proud of her for doing that and it's fantastic that she accompanies me on more walks now. 🥰 We do have many precious memories of time spent with my in-laws in the Park, also her dad's very last Christmas. 😥
We had a small amount of loose coins for the laundry and skottel rentals, so we could've used that if we really needed to. We might carry a little bit more going forward, just to avoid possibly running into issues. 🚙⛽
This lady is my real-life wife, Sonia. And you will hear her real voice in every single one of the 572 videos currently on our channel. 🥰 She's not keen on being filmed and I'll respect that for as long as she feels that way. BEAUTIFUL. Is that train turned into chalets ? Is it there permanently ? I Was busy, in and out of the house... maybe I missed some details about that train on the bridge... USHALATI ???? Is that what it is called ? [Spelling ?!?!?!?] .... ? Thank you for the videos !!!
That train was turned into overnight rooms which are super luxurious! It's been permanently converted into accommodation, which is a fantastic use of an old train bridge, but out of reach of the ordinary man's pocket, unfortunately. Kruger Shalati - The Train on the Bridge, is its full name. 😁🚟
Blue starling beautiful
Indeed a beautiful bird. 😍🐦

😅😅😅 well Sonja I also had an itch after watching those monkeys scratching. Thank you so much for Kruger National Park journey. Be safe.
🤣 My darling wife! She was literally scratching as we drove away from the cute scratching monkeys! I hope your itch subsides soon. 😁🐒

Lovely video as usual.
Draadstertswael....Wiretailed Swallow
The full chestnut cap and the thin tail are quite distinctive, even in these youngsters.
So at least one of the two we mentioned. 😁🐦 Thanks!
Baie dankie vriende
And thank you for watching! 😁🚙
I always carry 2 tanks worth of cash in the parks (especially Kgalagadi) you never know…have not used it for a few years …but a good habit..
We had a small amount of loose coins for the laundry and skottel rentals, so we could've used that if we really needed to. We might carry a little bit more going forward, just to avoid possibly running into issues. 🚙⛽
I think it's bushbuck ram, instead of bull.
That could very well be, but all the same to us. 😁🦌
❤❤❤❤❤❤
When we lived in Kenya, got charged by Buffalo and Rhino the same day 🐃🦏
Wozer, the hippo was enough for us for one day! 😳🦛
seriously who is this lady its weird watching these videos with just a voice it's freaking me out is it AI
