The Kuvings EVO820 is the newest wide mouth vertical juicer we sell. IMO its not a significant upgrade over the C7000 model. I have a video comparing the two.
Hello, John. My name is Cat. I'm interested in buying a juicer, mainly to make celery juice. I saw your video "Is Medical Medium's Favorite Celery Juicer the Best?" and I'm thinking about purchasing the Omena NC800. However, I'm unsure about buying it, because it's so expensive. Also, I'd really like to use a juicer that can juice other fruits, without oxidizing them and leaving in too much pulp. If I buy it, I want it to Could you please tell me if the Omega NC800 can juice the following foods: apples, cucumbers, carrots, watermelons, oranges, and lemons? Do I have to take out the seeds from the citrus fruits before juicing them? Also, since you've reviewed a lot of juicers, could you please recommend another juicer that's capable of juicing many fruits, including celery juice, without causing too much oxidation? Hope to hear from you soon.
@@Summer1736 Hi Cat. I have juiced everything on your list in the NC800, the trick is always to alternate your soft and hard veggies/fruits as you are juicing. All hard veggies/fruits are no problem alone, but soft veggies/fruits can easily and rapidly clog the screen if only juiced alone. When juicing apples, pick firm apples, not soft apples, and the NC800 will take care of them alone with no problem. Celery is fine in the NC800 alone. Cucumbers need a 'push' from a harder item, like a carrot or apple etc. unless you can get small and very firm cucumbers like pickling cucumbers or fresh English cucumbers, and still you need to watch how soft the seed bed is and may need to scrape some (soft) seeds out before juicing. Carrots do well alone. Watermelon works fine......if you juice the entire melon, rind and all, and is also a VERY nutritious juice....just wash the outside very well before juicing. Oranges and grapefruit have a volatile and toxic outer skin, you can even light the oil from them with a match. When juicing orange and grapefruit whole, peel the outer skin off first, using a knife, and leave as much of the white pith on them, which is where most of the nutrients are. Lemons and limes are fine juiced in their entirety, just wash them well, then cut both the stem and flower ends off first, and I recommend doing that for any/all fruits/veggies that have ends like that.....squash, lemons, watermelon , cucumber, etc. etc. Always remove the stem from apples before juicing, the rest of the apple will juice fine. The NC800 and the VSJ843 are the two most all-around, economical, efficient juicers on the market at this time. I use them both daily and have for years. P.S. The very best watermelon juicer, hands down in my use/opinion, is the Omega 4000. I have one dedicated just for that purpose, in the summertime, for awesome, nutritious, and refreshing watermelon juice. I juice the entire watermelon, rind and all, minus the two ends (stem and flower ends).
Ok. I love it!! I bought the Omega NC800HDS masticating juicer last week. After watching John’s video on it, I was happy to start the juicing. I used 3 gala apples, 1 cucumber, 1 bunch of celery, 1 lb of carrots, 3 leaves of Swiss chard, 2 leaves of rainbow chard, and 6 small leaves of kale. Because of the 0 - 5 adjustable end cap, I was able to allow some of the pulp into my juice without overdoing it. Thanx John, for showing me that feature in your video!!! This was my first time use of a high quality masticating juicer and I am so sold on it!! The end result was 3 cups of extremely yummy juice. I drank 1 ½ cups right after I made it and saved the other for breakfast this morning. It had separated overnight in the fridge (green on top and bottom and reddish orange in the middle) and I stirred it up and it tasted just as good (if not better because it was real cold). You are right about the increased energy, too. I’m like a rocket in the sky just 30 minutes later. I don’t think I could have gotten as much nutrition from blending it because I couldn’t take that large amount in my stomach. I’ve used a Nutri Ninja Duo NN100 for the past 4 years for just about everything, especially my fruit smoothies with protein powder. I could never drink it quickly (24 - 32 oz), but I will still continue to use it along with my Omega juicer. I’m making a sorbet with the Omega today and I froze a bunch of peeled bananas overnight and will pair them with some frozen bing cherries (then stir in dark chocolate slivers when done with the juicer process) 😋😋😋. My sister has an Omega J8006 since 2015 (she’s the one who told me about you and your videos) and gave me the idea to do this. She makes them often and puts them in small containers and refreezes them for a quick refreshing snack (she calls them her mini Cherry Garcia non-ice cream) 😂. I’m also going to make my own quinoa pasta with the Ninja and extrude it with one of the 3 pasta nozzles on the Omega. I love having devices that have multiple options to help me treat my body and soul in a healthy (with organic produce) and diverse fashion. You have been an incredible help with your videos!!!
I just wanted to comment on juicing seeds of any kind, including seeds in the core of an apple or pears, be careful and consider that the small metal screen will capture the small particles of the crushed seeds and they will get stuck in the small screen holes which makes it almost impossible to get out!! I currently own the Omega NC800 and I've had this happen to me a few times, and after spending close to an hour trying to get all of the seed particles out of the small holes of the metal screen, I've decided to avoid putting any kind of seeds into the juicer. And when I stopped putting all seeds in my juicer, I was pleasantly surprised that the small metal screen no longer had any clogged holes!😀 The reason why this issue is so important is due to the fact that the more you juice any kind of seeds, within time the small metal screen holes will get so clogged up, you will miss out on the maximum amount of juice that you can produce because the juice will bypass the screen full of clogged holes and get ejected and wasted! Please keep this in mind if you don't want to waste a lot of your juice & money! All that being said, I love this juicer! I've owned many juicers and this is the best for me, why? Because it's the easiest to clean and I'm very lazy so it's perfect!👍
OVERVIEW 4:39 "I recommend the Omega NC800 over all other horizontal machines due to the fact that its a proven model, high quality, made in South Korea with a 15-year warranty" the only difference with the NC900 is silver color vs chrome-plated plastic to look more upscale; no functional difference. 33:11 so far, long-standing Korean factories produce higher-quality horizontal juicers than Chinese factories 11:50 a high-speed machine oxidizes the phytonutrients ; see scientific study 8:30 runs at low slow 80 RPM revolutions per minute 21:30 compared to a high-speed centrifugal ejection style machine, this low-speed horizontal machine is very effective for wheatgrass and leafy greens; it gets less yield on carrots but tastes better (less oxidative damage, grinding up and getting extracted through the juice) ; 22:24 makes a pulpier fruit juice PARTS 1:53 outlet adjusting knob dial 0-5 signifies backpressure ; outlet knob aka drum-cap holds juicing parts in place 2:18 two-stage juicing screen ; careful when cleaning the silicon gasket ; can break and is not covered by warranty 3:26 GE Ultem Auger 8x harder plastic than the plastic used on previous single-auger horizontal machines 3:58 main body housing aka main drum ASSEMBLY 5:20 collar should be free-action moving (will move if clean; always clean properly) ; put main drum on motor base ; 5:55 insert augur; note: it does not seat all the way back, there's a gap 6:20 juicing screen ; drum cap ; outlet adjusting knob - align to 0 to insert then set to 1-5. 6:45 5 puts the most backpressure ; for maximum yield, and for hard vegetables set to 5 INGREDIENTS 13:18 soft / watery fruits and vegetables: apples, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers ; 15:46 must remove apple stems, which could block and jam the machine ; 22:24 note on buying apples: at certain times of the year, they are from cold storage sitting in oxygen-deprived environments, getting soft over time in storage, not going to juice as well 13:38 leafy green: wheatgrass, sprouts, microgreens, greens ; roll up greens like a cigar 13:45 roots: carrots 19:20 insert fat end first not last 13:53 stalk: celery
JUICING 7:03 don't use a horizontal machine for pineapple or soft-textured fruits in high quantity 12:35 rotate the vegetables ; don't do all of each one individually 31:39 fine to juice straight celery or leafy green hard vegetable; but soft fruit you need to mix with a hard thing 31:35 #1 slow down 9:56 only use the pusher lightly; don't push the pusher down hard -- excess strain may cause premature breakage ; usually use a carrot or celery stick is used as the pusher 11:08 don't put anything (like a knife or spoon) into the machine ; just use vegetables or the pusher8:43 don't run it empty; needs the produce to lubricate 20:00 rejuicing: wad pulp into a little ball ; 23:34 tip forward and back to get juice out and put pulp-catch underneath to catch drips 27:00 use excess pulp: dehydrate to make vegetable fiber powder; mix in raw with dog food; www.brit.co/juice-pulp-recipes/ CLEANING 31:04 Don’t “Got to go to work, didn’t clean the juicer” ; it hardens like plaster paris ; at minimum, soak the parts in hot water with dish soap ; never leave these in open air to dry with the pulp still in it ; that could cause some major issues in the future 24:17 outlet adjusting knob and drum-cap - clean using soap and water to remove carotenoid and ginger stains as well as minerals 25:06 juicing screen - imperative each and every time to clear each and every hole of pulp ; 26:22 use a bottle brush inside the screen to clean holes from inside 30:40 hold it up to the light to check ; you may have to finish cleaning with a needle 27:24 augur - immediately after juicing, scrub with soap ; should not chip or flake 27:55 main drum - brush with soap and run water through 28:13 check [what is this called?] - if it’s getting wet with pulp everytime, might be backing up or might have a bad gasket in the dream 28:44 do not dishwash - the harsh detergents along with the high-heat dry cycle can break down (harden and crack) silicone gaskets significantly and may weaken plastic parts also ; not as effective as a brush at dislodging pulp 29:50 if you have hard water where you live, you will get mineral stains on juicing parts ; if so, put Cascade dish detergent (has an ingredient that breaks down mineral deposits) in a tub of hot water and soak the parts overnight ; scrub them the next day 33:30 support discountjuicers.com/youtube/ for the great informational video (thank you); will pricematch
🥑🍋🍃💚🍅🌿🥒🥕 Made a juice with avocado, lemon, salad greens with spinach, wheat grass, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, celery, and carrots. So good! Thanks to you, I am rotating what I feed into the juicer. I have learned so much from your videos. A carrot is what I use to push the produce down, as you have suggested. As a last step I use a stick of celery as it feeds into the juicer better than the carrot. ❤Love my NC800.
I've been using the 8006 for nearly a decade and have been really happy with it. Great line of juicers. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with these tools to help people improve their health. 👍
same here. tempted to upgrade to nc800 or solo star 4 but HONESTLY my 8006 has been thru hell and back and still runs. its hard to justify the purchase!
Thank you John for keeping on giving excellent detailed tips how to use, and how to take care of the Omega NC800. keep up yhe good work. i have been juicing every day for the past 4 years.I love this machine.
I just picked this juicer up off of Facebook marketplace for free. I had a Champion juicer for 6 years, but I threw it away bc I had been in several moldy environments. (Found out the mold had been making me extremely sick). I watched your very informative video and decided to give this juicer a go. My mind is blown!!!! I’m very greens heavy, a little bit of carrot, celery, cucumber. The yield is incredible, absolutely zero foam compared to my champion, much easier to clean, and not warm at all. Wow!!! 🤩 Not to mention watching the auger work through clear plastic fascinates me to no end. Thanks John! I will be binging some more of your videos. 👏
Thank you for your videos! Have been a subscriber for awhile now. My first juicer was a VRT350. Wish I subbed to your channel and seen your videos BEFORE my purchase or I NEVER would have bought it. But after watching your videos I decided on purchasing an NC800 and I ❤love ❤love ❤love it!!!! Yesterday when I juiced I got over 4 cups (1 litre). The pulp was wet so I put it through a second time and had an extra 1 cup of juice. Faster, easier to clean, more juice... very happy with my purchase. I learn so much from your videos! Thank you so much. 👍😊
John good morning this Mae, guess what , first time I use my omega I broke it right away, by using the chop stick....am crazy now I saw your demonstration thank you so much sharing all expertise ,I follow your channel and shared it to my family. God bless you. From Marylanders.
After struggling with an Aicok for a year and a half, I finally got the NC800 for Christmas! Made celery juice this morning, noticeably less pulp in the juice. One question I have is does the hopper detach from the barrel? It came firmly assembled and I don’t want to force it apart if it’s one piece. Another question I have is about orange juice. We’ve stopped drinking store brand due to high sugar, will homemade be healthier?
Hi, do you still have a backyard vegetable gardening channel? I can't find it in my subscriptions anymore and don't remember the channel name. Edit: Found it, " Learn Organic Gardening at GrowingYourGreens"
Love this juicers so much - I was afraid to juice pineapple with this bad boy until I learnt how to prepare the Pineapple correctly now I'm out here making yum juices like; Pineapple Purple Carrot Rhubarb mmmmm!!! Good haircut too bro!!
@@artbunger3517 the usual way but then i continue to slice them into smaller rectangles the smaller the better as they self feed into the auger - the only fruit I have troubles with that make it back up are - santa clause melon - apples - berries like strawberry etc
I bought this juicer a couple of weeks ago. Extremely efficient. Replaced my 8005 which was never the same after the juicing screen cracked and was replaced. The pulp would then cake inside and back up. This juicer leaves almost no extra pulp on the auger. The only complaint is sometimes a chunk of carrot will just spin on the auger and not go forward. Have to put in a piece of produce to jar it forward. No regrets buying this.
What year did this come out? John, what is it in carrots that leaves that metallic-sheen residue on the auger? After a few green juices, it's gone. I bought my first one in 2016 and another one a few weeks ago. Great juicer!! best feature of all, quick and easy to clean! I prefer glass to catch the juice too. I chop everything on quirky angles, so the grabbing part of the auger grabs the pieces, so I rarely have to used the pusher. I chop as i juice. the whole juicing scene is #ZEN
sadly, i only wanted to know how to get the auger out. i just opened one and the auger is stuck. there are no videos anywhere on a horizontal auger and how to get it out
I just bought the NC 800 and have a variety of vegetables to juice. I wanted to juice some turmeric with my vegetables. Is there a certain way to use turmeric root in this juicer?
@@LoveandLight8080 Just be mindful it will leave marks on the auger which are very hard to remove. My Omega vert juicer basket and auger are covered in orange turmeric deposits :/
Mine overheats, has a burning smell when making celery juice and the auger seems to be burning down. Do you have an idea on what would cause that? I am also very careful when feeding the celery through, and send them through the feed slowly, so I am not sure why this would be happening.
If one sets the outlet adjusting knob on 5, chops up carrots and beets and puts them through, are the threads securing the Drum to the End Cap under too great of pressure without snapping off? What setting is recommended for hard produce juice extraction?
I actually had one of the rubber gaskets tear while I was cleaning it and they covered it under warranty. I did pay shipping though. One thing about omega's warranty.
I love my NC800 and am enjoying your videos. Are the any issues with juicing refrigerated apples and carrots? My thoughts on this are twofold. Firstly, the colder fruits and vegetables should be firmer and juice better (especially with apples). Secondly, the juice is colder and more refreshing. Is this ok?
If I make almond milk in the NC800, I run them thru like the video, then I stir the pulp into the milk, and run it thru again. Better yet, I put the soaked/rinsed nuts, with RO (filtered) water, in the DynaPro vacuum blender, then ladle that in the NC800.
Love the new haircut! Great video - love this one for juicing leafy greens, but my cat hates it! It has a very lively and loud squeal that drives him out of the room every time I juice greens alone. I will try your trick of adding a couple carrots in between - mostly to give my cat a break😽! Thanks John.
Wait, what happened to the nc900ss model? I was sold on it after watching a bunch of your comparison vids, but your website says they're discontinued. Whyyyy? I was sold on that one for multitude of reasons that differ from this model: BPA Free, Larger feed shoot, SS catchers vs plastic, larger juice screen, and convenient accessories storage container.
My son has this juicer and I have been using it. I don’t believe you don’t get the nutrients from a high speed juicer. I know someone who has one and has gotten rid of pain and inflammation using it. Also a vegan who uses one. They happened to use the Breville.
its basic science. Heat cause oxidation. You will get some nutrients for sure but way more using this method. also those high speed juicers are terrible for juicing things like ginger, kale or any leafy greens. you end up with a lot of waste
@@HaniJIsmail I have and only use cold pressed juicers . I agree that leafy greens are better juiced with cold pressed juicers however I have seen and read medical science reviews testing nutrient quality between centrifugal juicers and cold pressed juicers and there is NO Nutrional Advantage. Yes correct and I have read the unbias science. Also numerous people including myself, Dr.Brooke Goldner and Sergei Botenko have all recovered from diseases using vitamix blenders. Science and experitiantial knowledge is the answers not theories. Remember that I only use cold pressed juicers and was astounded with the evidence.
@@Hiltie1 that is very interesting sir! I will look into that. I guess the main reason to use cold pressed juice would be to minimize waste and properly squeeze juice out of leafy greens. Very good to know. I am looking at opening a small Juice bar in the future and was worried that cold pressers would be too slow for juicing softer items like fruits. So this evidence definitely interests me! Have a good day and happy Earth day!
@@HaniJIsmail thank-you Sir for your kind words and open mindedness. 🙏. I much prefer slow cold pressed juicers and thought that they yielded more nutrients until I reviewed the evidence. Vacume blending is not necessary either. Look up Dr.Brooke Goldner. She cured her Lupus with a Vitamix making green smoothies. Sergei Botenko reversed his diabetes with a Vitamix. I love my Vitamix but I also love my Omega and Solostar Juicers. Kind regards to you and your family 👪.

Omega did have an issue years ago where the factory was reusing plastic to be environmentally friendly, but it was not as strong as virgin plastic. Other than that, I believe people attempt to juice too quickly which can cause stress on the screen. And/or have the outlet adjusting knob too tight that can put more backpressure on the parts.

Dear John, This email is to seek you help in getting my situation resolved with Omega juicers as you generally recommend their juicers. My story is pretty sad, and Omega has consistently failed to step up with their promise of 10-15 year warranty and I am at my wits end who to turn to for help. Briefly here is my situation and I have every email, every phone call documented, every video but it’ll be too long to post here. I can however give it to you any time you want. Back in 2018 Omega tried to resolve the issues with my juicers as they never worked properly and they replace the parts in 2018. Initially it was impossible to get juice from the juicer as it emits only pulp and after in 2019 the juicer body just get hot and this is the reason Omega /Lisa Long said she will replace it . I have been a loyal customer of this company for decades and I bought my first omega 1000 model juicer in 1997. I bought 2 more of this 1000 model and then bought a Vert in 2015 in Macy in Orlando for my brother and then I bought these 2 for myself. I used to recommend these juicers to everyone. I no longer do this as this company misrepresent their warranty policy. I cannot afford to buy a juicer in this COVID 19 as I lost my job and I want my juicer replaced as promised.
OVERVIEW
4:39 "I recommend the Omega NC800 over all other horizontal machines due to the fact that its a proven model, high quality, made in South Korea with a 15-year warranty"
the only difference with the NC900 is silver color vs chrome-plated plastic to look more upscale; no functional difference. 33:11 so far, long-standing Korean factories produce higher-quality horizontal juicers than Chinese factories
11:50 a high-speed machine oxidizes the phytonutrients ; see scientific study
8:30 runs at low slow 80 RPM revolutions per minute
21:30 compared to a high-speed centrifugal ejection style machine, this low-speed horizontal machine is very effective for wheatgrass and leafy greens; it gets less yield on carrots but tastes better (less oxidative damage, grinding up and getting extracted through the juice) ; 22:24 makes a pulpier fruit juice
PARTS
1:53 outlet adjusting knob dial 0-5 signifies backpressure ; outlet knob aka drum-cap holds juicing parts in place
2:18 two-stage juicing screen ; careful when cleaning the silicon gasket ; can break and is not covered by warranty
3:26 GE Ultem Auger 8x harder plastic than the plastic used on previous single-auger horizontal machines
3:58 main body housing aka main drum
ASSEMBLY
5:20 collar should be free-action moving (will move if clean; always clean properly) ; put main drum on motor base ; 5:55 insert augur; note: it does not seat all the way back, there's a gap 6:20 juicing screen ; drum cap ; outlet adjusting knob - align to 0 to insert then set to 1-5.
6:45 5 puts the most backpressure ; for maximum yield, and for hard vegetables set to 5
INGREDIENTS
13:18 soft / watery fruits and vegetables: apples, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers ; 15:46 must remove apple stems, which could block and jam the machine ; 22:24 note on buying apples: at certain times of the year, they are from cold storage sitting in oxygen-deprived environments, getting soft over time in storage, not going to juice as well
13:38 leafy green: wheatgrass, sprouts, microgreens, greens ; roll up greens like a cigar
13:45 roots: carrots 19:20 insert fat end first not last
13:53 stalk: celery
JUICING
7:03 don't use a horizontal machine for pineapple or soft-textured fruits in high quantity
12:35 rotate the vegetables ; don't do all of each one individually
31:39 fine to juice straight celery or leafy green hard vegetable; but soft fruit you need to mix with a hard thing
31:35 #1 slow down
9:56 only use the pusher lightly; don't push the pusher down hard -- excess strain may cause premature breakage ; usually use a carrot or celery stick is used as the pusher
11:08 don't put anything (like a knife or spoon) into the machine ; just use vegetables or the pusher8:43 don't run it empty; needs the produce to lubricate
20:00 rejuicing: wad pulp into a little ball ;
23:34 tip forward and back to get juice out and put pulp-catch underneath to catch drips
27:00 use excess pulp: dehydrate to make vegetable fiber powder; mix in raw with dog food; www.brit.co/juice-pulp-recipes/
CLEANING
31:04 Don’t “Got to go to work, didn’t clean the juicer” ; it hardens like plaster paris ; at minimum, soak the parts in hot water with dish soap ; never leave these in open air to dry with the pulp still in it ; that could cause some major issues in the future
24:17 outlet adjusting knob and drum-cap - clean using soap and water to remove carotenoid and ginger stains as well as minerals
25:06 juicing screen - imperative each and every time to clear each and every hole of pulp ; 26:22 use a bottle brush inside the screen to clean holes from inside 30:40 hold it up to the light to check ; you may have to finish cleaning with a needle
27:24 augur - immediately after juicing, scrub with soap ; should not chip or flake
27:55 main drum - brush with soap and run water through
28:13 check [what is this called?] - if it’s getting wet with pulp everytime, might be backing up or might have a bad gasket in the dream
28:44 do not dishwash - the harsh detergents along with the high-heat dry cycle can break down (harden and crack) silicone gaskets significantly and may weaken plastic parts also ; not as effective as a brush at dislodging pulp
29:50 if you have hard water where you live, you will get mineral stains on juicing parts ; if so, put Cascade dish detergent (has an ingredient that breaks down mineral deposits) in a tub of hot water and soak the parts overnight ; scrub them the next day
33:30 support discountjuicers.com/youtube/ for the great informational video (thank you); will pricematch
@@Ejeby Thank you!!! 👍😊
LOVE the new haircut, John! ☺️ ... and thanks, once again, for yet another thorough video demo. You are the best! 😀👍🏼
Agreed. Looking sharp!
Just ordered 8007 omega thanks for the tips great advice 😀
Nice new look and haircut my dude
After struggling with an Aicok for a year and a half, I finally got the NC800 for Christmas! Made celery juice this morning, noticeably less pulp in the juice. One question I have is does the hopper detach from the barrel? It came firmly assembled and I don’t want to force it apart if it’s one piece. Another question I have is about orange juice. We’ve stopped drinking store brand due to high sugar, will homemade be healthier?
can you clean the back under water or it goes into the motor?
Hi John, how do you know when its time to replace the auger and other parts? Thanks.
Hi, do you still have a backyard vegetable gardening channel? I can't find it in my subscriptions anymore and don't remember the channel name.
Edit:
Found it, " Learn Organic Gardening at GrowingYourGreens"
Love this juicers so much - I was afraid to juice pineapple with this bad boy until I learnt how to prepare the Pineapple correctly now I'm out here making yum juices like;
Pineapple
Purple Carrot
Rhubarb
mmmmm!!!
Good haircut too bro!!
How do you prepare your pineapple?
@@artbunger3517 the usual way but then i continue to slice them into smaller rectangles the smaller the better as they self feed into the auger - the only fruit I have troubles with that make it back up are - santa clause melon - apples - berries like strawberry etc
Wow. I love your new cut.
You are doing a great job. Thank you.
Can this juice limes?
What year did this come out? John, what is it in carrots that leaves that metallic-sheen residue on the auger? After a few green juices, it's gone. I bought my first one in 2016 and another one a few weeks ago. Great juicer!! best feature of all, quick and easy to clean! I prefer glass to catch the juice too. I chop everything on quirky angles, so the grabbing part of the auger grabs the pieces, so I rarely have to used the pusher. I chop as i juice. the whole juicing scene is #ZEN
I just bought this one Do u think it produces as much juice as the newest ones?
Hi John, Thank you sharing your experience to educate the community ; what is the best juicer just for Ginger roots base on your knowledge?
I use a bottle brush when cleaning most of the parts.
sadly, i only wanted to know how to get the auger out. i just opened one and the auger is stuck. there are no videos anywhere on a horizontal auger and how to get it out
Another great video showing your great new haircut. Good look for you! :)
I just bought the NC 800 and have a variety of vegetables to juice. I wanted to juice some turmeric with my vegetables. Is there a certain way to use turmeric root in this juicer?
I make sure the root is clean and just throw it in like anything else. It does have a strong flavor, so don't use much.
awm7353 thank you 🙏🏽
@@LoveandLight8080
Just be mindful it will leave marks on the auger which are very hard to remove. My Omega vert juicer basket and auger are covered in orange turmeric deposits :/
Is the chrome version made in Korea too? On amazon it says Korea for the silver and China for the chrome.
Manufacturers need to make more no-/less-plastic options.
I got this nice machine from my mom. However I do not have the instruction manual or the various attachments. Where could I get this?
Go to the omega site, I believe they sell the parts too.
Excellent info.
is it normal for the front part of the juicer to move when putting hard veggies in?
I have a omega nc800 and my agar will not fit in flush so the rest of the assembly is not working properly.
I have this one. Love it !!!
Have you used the KitchenAid Juicing attachment?
Bless you brother🙏🏻Thanks your the best
I actually had one of the rubber gaskets tear while I was cleaning it and they covered it under warranty. I did pay shipping though. One thing about omega's warranty.
I love my NC800 and am enjoying your videos. Are the any issues with juicing refrigerated apples and carrots? My thoughts on this are twofold. Firstly, the colder fruits and vegetables should be firmer and juice better (especially with apples). Secondly, the juice is colder and more refreshing.
Is this ok?
Can you show us how to make soy/almond/oat milk using the NC800?
I concur 🙏🙏🙏
ruclips.net/video/XBMQu_zJJ0Q/видео.html
If I make almond milk in the NC800, I run them thru like the video, then I stir the pulp into the milk, and run it thru again.
Better yet, I put the soaked/rinsed nuts, with RO (filtered) water, in the DynaPro vacuum blender, then ladle that in the NC800.
HELP my Auger is stuck and the Hopper/Drum would come out but the Auger is like a rock. It’s stuck. Why? How to fix?
Hi, I'd really like to buy this exact model but I'm living on AUSTRALIA and all I can find is NC8002. Do you sell NC8002 in USA?
Love the new haircut!
Great video - love this one for juicing leafy greens, but my cat hates it!
It has a very lively and loud squeal that drives him out of the room every time I juice greens alone. I will try your trick of adding a couple carrots in between - mostly to give my cat a break😽!
Thanks John.
Hi John another excellent video !
I have an 8006, does anyone know if that drum will fit on the NC800?
Wait, what happened to the nc900ss model? I was sold on it after watching a bunch of your comparison vids, but your website says they're discontinued. Whyyyy?
I was sold on that one for multitude of reasons that differ from this model:
BPA Free, Larger feed shoot, SS catchers vs plastic, larger juice screen, and convenient accessories storage container.
Also if you could show us how to make peanut/almond butter with the NC800
My son has this juicer and I have been using it. I don’t believe you don’t get the nutrients from a high speed juicer. I know someone who has one and has gotten rid of pain and inflammation using it. Also a vegan who uses one. They happened to use the Breville.
Truth.and medical science backs your claim.
its basic science.
I bought one today, on sale from Omega...$263.56 with tax, free delivery. I hope it doesn't break like the 5 NC1000HDS I bought from the big box stoe.
Didn't you already do this episode? Is anyone creating a new juicer any time soon?
Great haircut John. Looks better short
do you think the Bosenkitchen vacuum blender is a good vacuum blender?
have not tested.
Maybe using a round dishwater brush would even be easier to clean?
Should we add lemon in our juice for better protection from oxidation? (New haircut rocks!)
that can help. Although If storing, putting under vacuum is more important.
haircut looks good on you bro......
How does the new Omega NC1000HDS compare to this? Can’t fine any reviews to it anywhere? Might be a good review for you to do. Love your videos!

Omega did have an issue years ago where the factory was reusing plastic to be environmentally friendly, but it was not as strong as virgin plastic. Dear John,
This email is to seek you help in getting my situation resolved with Omega juicers as you generally recommend their juicers.
I have been very patient with Omega, but they have been totally unfair to me. I feel like they misrepresent and misguide customers like myself. They tout that they have 10-15 years warranty, and this is how they treat customers? I need you help as I do not know what to do and who to turn to.
After numerous call to Omega finally On October 8, 2019 at 4:15 pm I spoke to Lisa Long and she finally promised me that I can choose from the following juicer as they will replace it
The choices I was given are as follows: I told her in an email in On Dec 13, 2019, at 3:15 PM,
I would like as replacements # 1 and 4:
1. VSJ843 QS
2. J 8006 HDS
3. NC 800 - bigger produce
4. NC 800 HDS
Proof of my purchase are as follows:
1. I purchased one in January 2017 from BBB for $451.99 serial number 1309 06197 ( Sept 2013)
2. The other was purchased on June 2012 from juicers for life for $417.59 serial number 1204 6110 ( April 2012)
• I left messages on Dec 13, 23, 2019 and January. 2 , 9, 24, 28, February 4 and 6 , 2020. I was lucky as I spoke to Stacy Hayes on Feb 6, 2020 at 9:48 am and she promised to talk to Lisa Long and sort this out . see a Stacy reply below …..
• I left messaged with Stacy, Colleen, Sharon , Kathy ……… who all promise that Lisa Long will get back to me . I understand she is owner? Part owner of the company. Frustrated I made 4 calls on January 24, 2020 and have made at least 6 calls today with no luck as I hold for a rep and then after 15 minutes a voice mail ask to leave a message ……

• I have since sent over 25 emails to Lisa long, Customer service, Stacy Hayes, Kathy ( don’t know her last name) and all I get a an automatic reply that customer service will get back to me.
• These are the emails addresses to which I sent emails for help……..Stacey Hayes ; Lisa Long ; Legacy Marketing ; Omega ZenDesk Support ; GWT Sales
• Here is a sample of an email I received from Stacy in June this year and I yet to hear from Lisa Long . I have numerous such emails and messages recorded.

Hello
I am sorry that you have not gotten your issue resolved with us. Due to the COvid-19 they scaled back our staff and they were working remotely but we just got back in to the Office and unfortunately Lisa is not in the Office due to a family emergency. She would have to be the one to handle this because I do not have the authority to it. This is at a Supervisors level. Once she is back in the Office I will direct this to her and ask her to contact you.
Thank you, Stacey
I understand the COVID 19 impact and the delay in replying but this is beyond being a responsible for a company that pretends to be caring , ethical and step up with their PROMISED warranty.
I look forward to your reply and help. I will provide my telephone number and full name when you need it.

•

Kira
Wow! Sad to hear that irresponsible behavior. But you have so much proof (emails, phone calls, etc) of being patient , don't talk to them any more let your lawyer do the talking.
