Dear Anthony, I was researching about Jesmonite for 2024 Christmas ornaments. I'm so very happy I came across your channel. You are an absolute blast to watch. I'll be forever beholding to you when I attempt my projects. You've taught me 'just roll up the sleeves, take the risk & live & learn' It's a wonderful attitude. God Bless You. Luv from Canada.

definitely sand the top of the stool, it’s a must for terrazzo pieces in jesmonite to reveal the colours, don’t give up on it until you’ve seen what it actually looks like :)
'I was going to measure where everything goes, but honestly, I can't be bothered' 🤣🤣A crafter after my own heart! My new favourite channel - thank you so much.
I personally think you did a great job with all of them considering it was your first time working with the product without a kit specifically telling you what your measurements are and how to achieve the specific look you were going for.
I love your channel! I found it recently and have been sharing it with my friends. I have a trick for never having to measure stuff when adding handles or installing things. Get some tape, put a single long piece across each hole, & then poke through the tape. Now take the tape off and now you have a guide with the exact spacing between the holes.
Ah thanks Sue for sharing my videos! 😁😁 And that's an amazingggg trick! I'll definitely have to use that in the future! (I do pre-record my videos though so there might be one or two where.... I don't measure again! 😅)
You are the literal best! Had me laughing the entire time 😂😂 so glad that I found you! Oh and you’re supposed to demold them after about 25 minutes and then let them sit for at least 24 hours.
YOU ARE SO FUNNY! I love your videos because you are honest and not afraid to show your "fails" which are actually not that bad. Can't wait for your next video!!!
Ant, you are not a carpenter, by your own admission, and yet you built a little table with jesmonite and glass. I think it came out really well, in fact I think all the projects came out incredibly well! Especially that plant pot and the cake stand. They both came out amazingly well! You don't give yourself enough credit, your terribly hard on yourself. There is nothing stopping you from cutting off the table legs, trimming them and reattaching them at a better angle of you're unhappy about them. Plus that tray only needs a little bit of the gold, silver, and bronze leaf stuck on and with a quick glaze no one would ever know. And as for the tray handles, just redo them and cover the original holes with more gold leaf, who is gonna know eh? You did really well all told. God bless you.
I did some stuff at a retreat with Jesmonite and was told to sand down the flat side to show the the bits you put in. Gold leaf and stones. But it was good to watch you play.
Wow, you are way too funny! I enjoyed watching you struggle with the jesmonite. I started using resin about a year ago. But like a lot of people, I developed an allergy to it. It's difficult to get jesmonite here in the states, but I just got some Aqua Resin that is quite similar to Jesmonite. So, now I know what NOT to do! Hahaha! But that's how we learn...things that work and things that don't work. Perhaps you can sand the top of your table because I think the colored glass looked great. When I made my tea tray with resin, I put the handles right into the resin. No need for screws and drills. It fit perfectly and works terrific. Wish me luck with my Aqua Resin. The ratio is the same as for Jesmonite and I will be making a couple of coasters tomorrow. I will let you know how they come out. 😎😁☕
Loved the video but have one suggestion that would help you a lot. To get the handle holes perfect EVERYTIME: take a piece of tape ( like painters tape, masking tape etc) and put it on the back of your handle from one hole to the other., leaving a little extending beyond the hole, Poke a hole thru the tape where the holes are in the handles. Take the tape off and place down on your project. You now have the perfect spacing for your drilling. Just mark thru the holes on the tape or drill right thru. Hope this helps, No measuring!
I love your sense of humor. Your cake plates was spot on. Jesmonite needs to make a clear product so that your cut glass and silver, gold and brass leaf project would look like you envisioned. I could see how beautiful that would be. The little pot was awesome too.
I quite like the side table thing. I'd really like to see it sanded personally. I have an idea too. It would be neat to get those glass stone things you can find at dollar stores, that I think were initially meant for fish tanks, and make a pattern at the bottom of a bucket. Then pour the Jasmonite on top of it. Perhaps if you were also to pour a thick layer, then carve out the spots you want the legs to sit, then place them and tie them together to keep them from moving. Then pour in the structural layer to secure the legs. This is all just if you ever feel like playing with jasmonite again, and I've never done so, so it may not work too lol.
@@AnthonyCrammen I'm the queen of rushing into things without thinking haha. Don't feel bad, I would have done the exact same thing and only came up with my idea from learning from what you did. It was a team effort ^-^♡
Don't know why I haven't run across your channel before now. New subscriber here. Howdy from Texas, USA! If all your videos are this fun, I believe I'll stay!
Ah thanks. I can't remember where I got the glass as I've had it in the studio for years! 😅 And I think I bought the Jesmonite from their official website.
I liked the 3-tier cake thingie. Makes me think of the Victorian era; calling round to old Mrs. Russel's house to ask about her rheumatism, wearing long fancy dresses with lace gloves, and putting milk in her tea...because rheumatism.
Thanks for the tips. I had a thought: you could cut the legs down to make the stool/table more level. You could also fill in the holes on the tray and then drill new ones. Anyway, this is the first time I've seen one of your videos. I enjoyed it. Already subscribed. Happy Creating!!!!
Funnily you should mention cutting the legs down! I did try that here: ruclips.net/video/pEF5GxMzuzU/видео.html but it didn't go to plan! 😂😂 And glad you enjoyed it Jennifer! Welcome to the channel! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Just found you by accident. You are hilarious. Great video! Jesmonite sets really quickly, like in under an hour, so for your tray just put the handles in once you’ve poured and the stuff will set around them so no need for screws. Or lay the handles on gently while it’s setting then lift them off and this will leave an imprint and you’ll know where to drill the screw holes. Use a spoon, scoop or even the cup in the bag next time lol 😂😂😂. Use mica powder pigments and it’s easy to work out the measurements, keeping the powder quantities the same take out a spoon of jesmonite and replace it with mica powder. Now I’m off to watch more of your vids, I needed a laugh today.
You are so adorable and funny! You make screwing up craft projects so much fun! Lol 😀 But your projects came out really cool. Love this video and your channel. Subscribed. 👌👏
You mention in a previous post that it has a feel of plaster but also a little plastiky. Is the weight of a finished jesmonite piece comparable to something like a very good plaster or concrete piece of the same size?
Not awake early but going to bed late. I am going to try this stuff except I might do the measurements opposite to what you did as in one part to 2.5 part, easier on the brain to calculate 😀
That's not YOUR measurements on the tea tray. Trial and error from other resin artists taught them to put the handles straight into the resin as the screws are always too long.

@@AnthonyCrammen You're welcome :-) I wouldn't be surprised if you snuck into your studio in the middle of the night, just to enjoy that silky smooth cake stand again! :-D
I found your video so entertaining. I'm at least confident about the measurements/ratio of the powder to the liquid. Next time, you may need to wear a mask to avoid getting a runny nose. 😉Thank you, and well done! 😁
1. If you weigh the base first, to get the liquid weight, divide that by 2.5. Eg 100g of base, add 40g of liquid. 2. Mixed the crushed glass into the jesmonite before you pour 3. Always sand if you want the terrazzo effect, it reveals the chucks or glass... Always! Stop when you're happy with the way it looks. 4. It helps to seal, to prevent staining.
I laugh so much with your videos, love it, but I couldn't understand the measures why they don't put it in grams and make peoples life easier💕 new subscriber
When I come around for the Tea Party. I'll bring gluten free tea cakes and sandwiches (so that way they are actually edible). I'll leave the tea to you. Hey Ant! Thanks so much for this week's welcome dose of creativity :-D I think they all worked well - even the stool, which might come in handy for a future project! And we discovered that Jesmonite feels great but sounds awful... ;-)
Ah no problem! Glad you enjoyed it! 😁😁 Oh I definitely got a bit touchy feely with it 😅😅
@@AnthonyCrammen You're welcome :-) I wouldn't be surprised if you snuck into your studio in the middle of the night, just to enjoy that silky smooth cake stand again! :-D
😂😂😂
You should buy a measuring scoop or cup. Less mess for the powder..
I actually have some, just didn't even think of using them! 😅😅
where can i buy this silicon plant pot mould?
Think I got mine on Ebay.
Nice
I found your video so entertaining. I'm at least confident about the measurements/ratio of the powder to the liquid. Next time, you may need to wear a mask to avoid getting a runny nose. 😉Thank you, and well done! 😁
1. If you weigh the base first, to get the liquid weight, divide that by 2.5. Eg 100g of base, add 40g of liquid.
2. Mixed the crushed glass into the jesmonite before you pour
3. Always sand if you want the terrazzo effect, it reveals the chucks or glass... Always! Stop when you're happy with the way it looks.
4. It helps to seal, to prevent staining.
Omg, I love you! So funny! :-)
Ah thanks Lisa! 😊😊
Freaking hilarious! 🤣😂
Ah thanks Michele! Glad you enjoyed it! 😅
I laugh so much with your videos, love it, but I couldn't understand the measures why they don't put it in grams and make peoples life easier💕 new subscriber
Ah thanks Romina! Welcome to the channel! 😊😊
the real question is did you sit on the stool !
I did not! It didn't feel safe at all! 😅😅
Omg your hilarious had to describe 😂
Ah thanks Simone! Welcome to the channel! 😊😊
Omg that was suppose to be subscibed hahaha see laughing causes problems with spelling
Haha that's ok Simone! I knew what you meant! 😁😁
Sand the tray down a little and maybe the leaf will come out more.
Good idea Tina! 👍👍
@10.37 … Bless You!! 🤧
"lovely and hard rock-solid" that's what she said
😅😅
That glass is pretty. Wonky legs. Oh well. Good try tho. I see now you were going for set. I like the glass chunks. Cool material.
You’re funny 😆
Ah thanks! 😁
Wait you waited. A week to de mold them ? They start sweating after 25 minutes. 🙈🙈🙈
When I come around for the Tea Party. I'll bring gluten free tea cakes and sandwiches (so that way they are actually edible). I'll leave the tea to you. I'm southern from America, so the only tea I can make is ice cold sweet tea.
As to using the bucket. I'm just happy it's not a repeat of the plaster ring disaster.
Oh good!! 😊😊 Well I make a mean cup of tea, very strong with just a tiny splash of milk, no sugar! But I would be interested in tasting some sweet tea!
Oh tell me about it! I was worried it was gunna happen again!! 😂😂
@@AnthonyCrammen Take black tea and add way more sugar than you think is smart.
Sounds........sweet lol! 😅😅
Have you ever considered putting your cup in the bag & using it like a scoop? 🤣
That would have been a better idea! 😅😅
