And if he was conscripted or forced into Ukraine, there are enough ways to surrender yourself as soon as you get send into Ukraine. The fact that guy is in the trenches, means he chose to 'fight'. Can't feel pity for him... shouldn't even be given a chance to surrender anymore.

Only being injured doesn't mean you are not a legit target.
To not be a legit target, an injured soldier must be unarmed or unable to fight, not trying to flee (yeah, injured soldiers that are carried away by other soldiers are legit targets), and not staying between fighters.
Other than that, no war law requires combatants to put themself in ANY kind of danger to check if an enemy is really injured or not. So, if you are in a bunker, and don't want to receive a grenade as your last gift, is better for you to be able to get out.
Even if any side wins there is going to be a war of PTSD in their nation

Some are saying he was asked to come out and he refused, so then they just decided to kill him. I don't believe that's true, from the sounds of the screams, he most likely had already been wounded and couldn't make it out easily. Also the camera cuts off and then comes back on we don't know what happened in between that. they may have pulled him out to safety and took him not killing him. And then just tossed a grenade in there to ruin the bunker. This footage can be misleading don't be fooled by everything you see

Good question. A short answer in the context of this video is no. Very distinct sound though both sides have no problem understanding each other.
To answer in a broader context. Ukrainian language has always been considered to be a dialect. In fact it was celebrated as culturally colorful dialect eve by the Russians. They wanted to preserve this cultural distinction in the southern part of the country known today as Ukraine. Ukraine by the way translates as frontier or border. There were a lot of Ukraine in Russia. Siberian Ukraine, few others. All meant frontiers to which at a certain point in history the Russian empire extended.
Anyway, up until recently 30 years back Russian and Ukrainian languages were much closer than today. All because a pernicious influence of the western Ukraine which dominates today both ideologically (German extremism of the 1939 collaborators) and linguistically.
Sorry long answer but I thought I’d share some interesting info.
