Great Recipe! Mine came out a deeper pink/orange color and it tasted awesome. Took about one hour and a half starting from first getting the initial mixture to boil, up until straining the finished mixture. Each boiling/reduction took about 25 minutes. My induction stove goes from heat settings 1 to 10 -> Every time I boiled I put my settings up to 10 to get a rolling boil, then I lowered it to 6 to cook it down. Hope this comment helps people.
Yes it does-- I luv my induction stove -- same as gas when on, it is on-- when turn off, it is off-- just like gas & burner is cool to touch -- only pan is hot.

Yummmmyyyy my fav tea I remember how exactly I got used to it. I grew up in London & was visiting kashmir. My stepmothers mom's house (the only house on the top of the hills). After first few days, a girl that did house chores, a beautiful kashmiri girl, said, lets go for a short walk & I will show you my house. So, we walked down the hill & sort if midway there, were tents sets up. This girl lived with her family. I peeked in, met her mother, she was sitting on a small floor stool, had this pink tea going. She had been cooking for quite a while. I was thinking what tea takes this long to cook. She offered to me, I looked at it, thought it was disgusting, & said ummmm no thanx.... She offered again and again, so I finally gave in & said ok I will try a few sips. It was saltyand all those pistachios and the full cream inside the tea, I was blown away. I had never had anything so Amazing. Then in Lahore, my uncles house, especially in the winter, the khaansaama used to make it every morning. He always made extra knowing I'll havr at least 6 cups. Here in Manchester, tried and bought so many if these boxes but they turned out all flat wnd yucky tasting and no pink color. Then in one of the recipes the girl put star anise (baadiyaan ka phool) and I found tgr perfect brand. Bow I enjoy my kashmiri tea regularly. I know what tea I wabt in the morning 😻😍😍😍thanks

Ive got a box of Kashmiri tea. But thinking of the time I need to spend making it, I always go for the usual tea. Will try this one when I am not longing for tea and have time at hand. Will make some kahwa and store it.

plz tell me that badiyan k phol are must added in it or could skip????? plz help em the bigest lover of kashmiri chaye bt i can't make it perfactly.i had try once bt all waste of time n milk etc help me plzzzzzz
You can skip whatever ingredient you want Salt, tea leaves, elaichi and water are a must Rest is up to you cause rest are mostly for an added flavour If you like it or you have it, use it
Best way is, you put the tea to simmer and milk to boil and thicken If dont have time to thicken the milk, add powder milk like nido to it It makes it extra creamy and delicious
Oh my goodness! So much to relish here, all the beautiful crockery! You've simplified what is usually a complex recipe, thank you for that. FF team doing very well in all prep for your videos, really enjoying watching them all
I tried. I messed up first by using baking powder instead of baking soda cos i didn't have it at home. After i bought some i added it to the kahwa i had already prepared. It turned to nude pink instead of rose pink. I'm going to try again this tym with baking soda and also ice water. I used local loose green tea leaves.
