I love it that the pilots take time to admire he beautiful sunset, and your music is well chosen; thanks. It pays crews to get their head out of the office occasionally. A very nice vid, I watch it a lot.
Thanks for uploading this great video. I'm flying out of London City (as a passenger) for the first time in two weeks returning two days later, so this has been of the greatest interest to me. At the first sight of the runway, my very basic PPL training shouted 'too high - go around'!! Wonderful approach and landing. Regards to all.
Excellent editing to show same type arrival from ground and combine it with cockpit footage. Thank goodness for RUclips, were we can view these images as alas after 9/11, casual trips to the flightdeck are a thing of the past... Oh: Another thing, - A BIG thumbs up for no bloody music.....
@uncontrolable777 The aircraft on the video was an Avro RJ 85 (85 seats). The aircraft HB-IXM which crashed in 2001 belonged to Crossair, the same company. But it was a RJ 100, a larger version with 100 seats.
05:04: One of the two pilots minutes earlier had parachuted from the plane, landed, set up the on-ground camera, & thus, the picture we now see here. Ingenious!
In Lcy because of the steep glide path the Air Brake is deployed at the start of the approach @ 2000-3000ft depending on the RW. on a normal approach the AB is deployed anywhere between 400-100 ft depending on the conditions and the pilot all it is said is that it MUST be deployed before the threshold ie 50 ft.
That's a brilliant video. Demonstrates a very steep approach into City is much safer than the standard airliner 3 degree glidepath where pilots have no room for error if things go pear shaped! Reckon that Avro glidepath is around 10 degrees. What do your pilot friends say it was?
C'est l'approche style toboggan, Si vous sortez pas les trainées volet + trains + aérofrein en haut du toboggan vous arrivez en bas du même en survitesse et bonjour le posé des roues dans les critères qui vont bien.
Hi there Jean. Very nice video of our beloved Bae/RJ :) Love the music. What is that ? Love it. I have attached another cockpit video into the Faroe Islands. I have subscribed, shared and liked you vid. Hope you like the videos I have from the Cockpit in the Avro. You are welcome to share my friend:)

Thanks for posting - a really fantastic film you have made (I'm a Londoner so nice to see my city from the air)

That plane is fantastic for being able to fly an approach that is almost double the depth of that at a standard airport.

BRILLIANT Great to see a bit of London from the air. The pilots re so young or am I just getting old!!
Love those glass and yet steam panels, hope they still build 'em like this when I get into commercial.

Great video. Really catches the feel of what it's like.
What a beautiful film; I felt as if I was in the cockpit with you!

beautiful.
Great video guys, thanks for sharing.
Oh yes I landed three times at London City. I was all the times on the jumpseat in the cockpit. Landing at LCY is always a new experience ! :-)

Love the sunset. The pilots were lucky
Thank you very much, lovely video; merci
Excellent video thanks
Wow that's beautiful
Beautiful!
@eaglepilot89 The music is From Francesco - Rencontre - un endroit dans mon coeur, you can find this artist on Jamendo
Great Video, liked it alot.
No you are absolutely right. A standard glide slope is 3 degrees. it's 5.5 degrees at London City !
Verry nice, wow, they realy need to lose altitude coming in on the last two mile approach, first class thanks.
Great video, bravo.
Well done, thank you!
Can anybody answer me why there is no Call-out 60 when on landing...I thought that on 60 you deploy tail-brake.But now I'm kinda confused.
Beautiful! That seemed like a steep glide slope to me? But it could be the camera? I don't know, but fantastic landing!
FSXAvaiationA380 It's the airport's requirements due to noise abadement rules
It could just be the angle of the camera, but is the glide slope really steep?
Canary Wharf looked scarily close just before the plane picked up the glidescope!
excellent
Merci!
Thank you very much, this is very helpful. Good day :)

very nice video
AWESOME!!!!!
What's the song in the beginning?
Wow!!! I love flying at night.. Really nice!!

lol the Shard is even more impressive !!!!
5.5 is correct! The PAPIs and the ILS at LCY (EGLC) are set to 5.5 degrees.
So how can you say that was wrong?
that is the same type of plane that went down in the same year right?
wow great
best video

music sets the tone.
He is being kinda sarcastic. He means that it a 5.5 degree glideslope is just crazy :P
nice
BSL to LCY ?
Perfect aircraft for EGLC.
05:04 UFO's all around the damn plane!
LOL !!! Promised !!! :-))
This is not a problem, all intellgent Brittons have already put their money here in Switzerland LOL :-))
