It's normal what you say about México and Spain that they have a very similar feeling for you Gabe. We have a lot of history together. México was part of Spain, called New Spain (Nueva España). Your vids are always very good Gabe. I really like how you are
Wow how lovely these villages are. Yes many white buildings, but it helps bring out the colorful parts. I noticed most of the cars are white also. Thanks for taking me to a place I would love to go, but almost feels like I did.😊❤
Thank you for another great video Gabe. Please visit the northern coast of Spain some day. You'll be surprised how different it is from other areas in the country. There are 8000 ft plus mountains just a few miles away from the coast, green valleys, atlactic forest, breathtaking cliffs, medieval towns. It's just beautiful.
Hi Gabriel, you make a great point regarding the comparison of Mexico and Spain and many intrinsic values. Remember that there are twenty-one latín countries that were initiated from Spain the mother country later gaining their independence but were started from their Spanish roots much like the U.S. and other English-speaking countries where England is considered the mother country. Much of the TV programming is in rooted Spanish but with many other native variations of the language yet Spanish-Latin countries can communicate with each other for the most part.
Hi Gabriel, as you are going to Barcelona next may I suggest you head 90 minutes north to the city of Figueres to visit the Salvador Dali museum, and then a further 60 minutes east of there to his coastal home at Port Lligat.
The comment about the town having a similar feeling to towns in Mexico reminded me that I've had the same feeling about small, off the map towns in Greece, Italy and even some in the US...I guess its just something about small, sleepy little towns. That's one of the things I enjoy about Spain, the varied climate and geography. You don't have to travel far to go from a semi-arid climate like where you are now to a much wetter, greener, mountainous area of the country.
Onwards and upwards to Barcelona for some decent architecture and greenery. Ibiza is not my idea of beautiful, Gabriel and has never been on my wishlist. I love traditional architecture and not white apartment blocks lining, grubby sand beaches. Each to his own and I do enjoy seeing these places out of interest. My son went to Barcelona as a child and loved it. He also visited Alhambra recently and believes, I'd appreciate it, so looking forward to going there.soon. Keep up the good work. May I suggest if you do go back to Greece, try Mani. It is truly stunning 🙏🙌🌟🕊️🙂🍊
That dish at the end of this video, reminds me of the brekkies that you can get in South America, which are all-day deals and will keep ypu going all day. The dish is peasant's food which is not a diss!
In Official Spanish, Castellano, Z and C are similar - both pronounce th with the tongue sticking out. Parts of Spain where Spanish is pronounced like South Americans then C and Z are see and sett hence Ibiza is ibitha in Spain and Ibisa in other accents.
I love your channel! I wish you showed more restaurants and food in locations. Would have been nice to see some food experiences on Ibiza, through out Spain and all locations
Thanks for all the cool video, info, and reflections. Drawing on my decades of independent global travel, my program helps people develop an "Adventure Attitude" that's especially valuable in these unpredictable days. This makes then more resourceful, flexible, cheerful, and much less susceptible to "stress shutdown" when facing obstacles and loss of control. Not only that, but it's much more fun! While preparing my courses, I often ask "WWGD?"-- "What would Gabriel do?", so thanks for that, too.

Would love to have met you in Ibiza, i just left, so you were there when i was….Still a bit early for the “Full summer experience” but better in my opinion, great vlog as always..Thanks…..You missed Bar Anita in San Carlos, very famous in Ibiza.
Not sure where your heading from Barcelona but Girona is definitely worth a day or 2 and Montserrat monastery and the surrounding area is worth a checking out.
Gabe I'm back out on work bro, I'm not able to enjoy your content as I used to. Luckily this one was posted during lunch, so I'm on this one. Damn you bp!
Oooo I hope you skip over to Menorca next and visit Cala Galdana. Me and hubby will be going here in 3 weeks for the 1st time. It looks so beautiful and would love to see it from your prospective. Love your vids 👍🏻
Yep. My friend Abram went to a Green Day concert years ago and was able to go backstage and meet the rest of the band. I haven't seen Tre since high school though.
Spain's Spanish is rather different from Mexican Spanish, each being its own dialect, separate language. Castilian Spanish is the predominant dialect of Spanish in Spain, as far as I know. Correct me if I am wrong, PLEASE. The Other languages spoken in Spain include Aragonese, Asturian, Basque, Caló, Catalan-Valencian-Balear, Extremaduran, Fala, and Galician. Spain's people tend to look more European than Mexicos do, Mexicans being darker, and a bit more swarthy-looking than Spaniards by and large. You will see blonde Spaniards but not blonde Mexicans. My mother LOOOOVED Barcelona as did my old Man.
Yeah hard to compare Ibiza and Iceland, about as different as it gets. Both are good choices for completely different reasons although I'd say I prefer Iceland. Yes you can get around Ibiza quite easily, the bus system is pretty good and taxis are reasonable.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Thanks.....I'd like to visit Ibiza.....Although not the tourist areas so much. Also the other Spanish Islands look fascinating.. I've been to Iceland in 2011 before the tourist boom.. Apparently the second largest town/city 'Akureyri ' is an intriguing place to visit....Just catching up on your content since covid. Looking forward to see where you go next
Definitely expensive for southern Europe. My room, which I showed in the last video was very small and it was 82 euros. But that was the mid season price. I looked online and the same room in high season was more than 200 euros, for a tiny room. Of course, lots of places on the beaches of southern Europe get expensive in high season so it's to be expected, but there are much cheaper places to go.
Girona? Figueres? Whatever you do, dont go to Lloret de Mar unless you want to see drunk young adults and tacky bars haha. Did have a good time there back in the day but lets say... I dont think its entirely in the style of this channel.
The average hotel room rate there must be minimum $500 a night. Not my scene, way over touristed and over priced. If I could pick a place to retire I would live long term in either San Remo Italy the Italian Riviera or Nice on the French Riviera. Id like to see Rimini Italy because it looks good and they have hotel rooms for less than $50 USD a night.
