The sidewalks and lawns are banked with sparkling drifts, the eves and lamp post are adorned with icicles, and the streets glisten along the tracks made by the snow plow. But on some nights in particular, nights like this one, there’s a little extra magic in the air. There isn’t a breath of wind. Big snowflakes fall dreamily downward, so that you can easily catch one on your tongue. The whole world seems to hold its breath, suspended in a peaceful hush. It’s so quiet that if you hold very still, you can hear the tiny tap as each snowflake lands. Even when a car drives by, or a voice drifts down the street, the silence seems more powerful, a gentle giant softly muffling every sound. You stand entranced for a long time. The ache of cold in your fingers and toes is what finally compels you to move. Most of the businesses along the street are closed, their owners cozy at home with their families, but there’s one place that’s always open late: the cafe. You imagine wrapping your chilly hands around a hot cup of cocoa and set off for it immediately, your mind made up. The tinkle of the bell when you open the door makes you think of your favorite Christmas movie. The coffee shop is certainly in the holiday spirit, with garlands and lights everywhere. The old fashioned radio on the mantel hums gentle carols as a cozy fire crackles in the red wood stove. You feel your shoulders relax as the delicious warmth from the fire washes over you. After you get your hot chocolate, maybe you’ll sidle up to the shelf full of well-worn puzzles and books and find something to settle in with for the rest of the evening. Here it comes, here it comes-the most beautiful time of the year! Throughout December, I'll be watching Christmas ambience videos all day, sipping my milky chocolate coffee, and gazing at the snow outside from my warm, cozy room. Wishing everyone happy holidays with their families!
I’m going to make a list here: The stained glass over the entrance is so classic. Always a comforting thing to see. The multicolored cups. Be still my heart. I love when cafes do that and having it in seasonal colors hit the spot. SHOP CAT! I’m picturing this in an older building, down a block or so from the L Train stop like our old Lakeview neighborhood. It’s definitely a corner spot, the kind you can see the door inviting you in as you walk towards the station. It tempts you to maybe that later train to chat with your friendly barista and have something hot for the ride downtown. Or it could be where you meet your beloved on the commute back to sit and have a hot chocolate before starting the holiday shopping. Beautiful as always. Thank you.
I love older buildings in towns and cities...corner buildings, detailed and eclectic architecture, small businesses... it's pretty much always the vibe I try to create when I start working on a new cafe. Also, picking out the mug style and color for any given cafe video is actually one of my favorite creative tasks. I wanted this place to feel festive and fun so I thought the multicolored cups would work well.
@calmedbynature multicolored cups are wonderfully festive but it’s also frequently a signal of an independent shop. Because accidents happen, shops frequently have to replace and restock. Smaller shops sometimes can’t afford to spend big to make sure everything matches. To me, it’s always signaled you’re in a unique place that reflects the personality of the people who work and habit it.

As mentioned by several people below, CBN's videos aren't just videos. They are each and every one works of art. I love all of CBN's videos, but the Christmas ones are my favorites. So relaxing and calming. Makes you wish you could transport into this video and sit at this coffee shop listening to the pleasant jazz music being played and just feel any negativity melting away. I still say yours is the BEST ambience channel, CBN! I'm a musician and get so turned off by the fake jazz on other channels. You always have legit music and do the sound effects so well. Plus your visuals have human warmth to them. It's easier to say goodbye to fall and hello to winter in your lovely cafe.

As mentioned by several people below, CBN's videos aren't just videos. They are each and every one works of art. I love all of CBN's videos, but the Christmas ones are my favorites. So relaxing and calming. Makes you wish you could transport into this video and sit at this coffee shop listening to the pleasant jazz music being played and just feel any negativity melting away. Great job as always!
I still say yours is the BEST ambience channel, CBN! I'm a musician and get so turned off by the fake jazz on other channels. You always have legit music and do the sound effects so well. Plus your visuals have human warmth to them. It's easier to say goodbye to fall and hello to winter in your lovely cafe.
