I try to go to daily mass at least twice a week. I started it a few years back. I’m fortunate that I have many churches between my home and work that have mass in the mornings and evenings.
Thank you Keith, this was one of your best unpacking the mass ever , I am going to mass in the next hour and your words will be still ringing in my ears . Your explanation of reverence really shows me how we should yearn to receive Jesus into our hearts and your words “ where we go he goes” really brought that home to me. God bless you and your family.🇮🇪☘️
I love how you explain that reverence is in your heart because I’ve always wondered what is the best way to receive communion. This helps give a better understanding. Thank you, everyday I learn something new about our Catholic faith.
Thank you Kieth. Devinely timed, God knows when I need to hear him. I sometimes struggle to hear him and keep on track with prayer. I am reminded today I am on track, God is in us, keep walking in love! I beleive in Jesus!🌹🌹
Powerful reflections Keith - thank you! Like you, I also reverently speak the words "My Lord and My God" during the elevation of Jesus Body and when the chalice is raised, my internal voice speaks "Lord, Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner."
"While we are searching far and wide in this world for something to satisfy our hunger, God is waiting to feed us the one thing that truly satisfies: Himself." ❤"Never forget that each time you receive Jesus in the Eucharist He is working in you, to send you out into the world so that He can work through you." At the church I attended in northern Wisconsin, this summer, the whole congregation actually said the "My Lord & My God, I Adore You, at the consecration. It was awesome! The words "My Lord, My God" are on either side of the cross at my parish, St. Catherine of Siena. It is so important to share our love of our Eucharistic Lord.
I think it is just like John chapter 6 when most said this is a hard saying who can accept it. Jesus knew only a few would believe and that continues today.
I will be able to receive the Eucharist on September 15 after spring/summer OCIA. I cry every time the priest holds up the body of Christ and I just feel love and I know Christ is with me!
Last year I went to my nephew’s non baptismal dedication bc my sister in law and her family are non denominational and the man on stage with an iPad was preaching about John 6 and quoted St. Augustine saying, “IF YOU HAVE BELIEVED YOU HAVE EATEN.” Out of respect I didn’t walk out nor did I jump up and yell OBJECTION at the symbolic interpretation but I wanted to. I just have not been able to find that exact quote and even if St. Augustine said that, the way it was quoted I wouldn’t be surprised if it was taken way out of context.
St. Augustine did indeed say that. Augustine's interpretation does not deny the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist but rather complements it by highlighting the spiritual union with Christ that occurs through faith. This understanding aligns with the Catholic view that the Eucharist is both a physical and spiritual act, involving the real presence of Christ and the believer's faith. So yes, the iPad guy was definitely taking out of context.
Good day sir, you're amazing, from protestant, believing that saints is God for Catholic, and yet now you embrace our faith! Ii salute for your humility! Now preaching our beliefs! Thank you so much!
Great job on these scriptures, Keith. As a cradle Catholic I always “knew” the Eucharist was Jesus’ real presence but over the last decade and a half it has become a heart knowledge too, and I love spending a holy hour or more in our beautiful 24/7 adoration chapel. I’m hoping to get to share it with you and Estelle on December 7th!
So beautiful! Thank you keith. I also agree when the priest hold the bady of our loard i ask in silence to my laguardia Angel to present all my need to the living God, and the needs of my family. It is the most sacred moment of the Mass. I love my faith, and to be able to receive him without any doubt that his alive. LOVE😍😍😍😍
Latest Eucharistic miracle happened lately in India. A young woman upon receiving the Eucharist , it changed immediately into flesh several times in the last ccouple of weeks! Check out a video about this miracle on Mother & Refuge of the End Times RUclips Channel. Another Eucharistic Miracle- Aug 10 Bogota,Colombia - an exposed Blessed Sacrament palpitated for 20 minutes! In the garden of f Eden, Adam and Eve were instructed by by the Father not to eat the forbidden food or they will die if they do, but they were deceived by liar of all so they ate thr wrong food sin and death entered into the world. Now in the Eucharist the Lord Jesus said I am the living bread who came down from heaven. Amen I say to you, MY FLeSh is TRUE FOOD and my blood is TRUE drink, whoever eats my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life and I will raise him up on the last day, whoever eats this bread will live 4ever.
Keith, I don’t know if you’ll ever read this. But I was talking to somebody today who told me the Catholic Church was designed and put forward as the Catholic Church by Constantine. I’m not really sure how to defend this. Other than I pointed out some of the early church fathers lived before Constantine. And the Catholic Church was already the Catholic Church before Constantine. Maybe you’ve done a show on this that I haven’t seen. But anyway, maybe you have some thing that you can throw out one of these days if you haven’t done a show already. Thanks
That claim is one of those easily disproven myths. We have plenty of Church Fathers writing before the time of Constantine. Sounds like you said the right thing.
@ c. 12:50 - "Now there were others who held that view; but they were [always] in the minority: they weren't able to get any traction." Except for Mohammed and his teachings. The Protestant revolt was indeed a major rupture. However, I've always found it very remarkable that much of the disagreements Protestants would have with the Church, namely Eucharist, real presence of Christ in the Eucharistic bread, and sacerdotal priesthood through Christ, were all central to Mohammed's condemnation of the Catholic Church as well. So that's something that Protestants could ask themselves. Then question is, "If I were alive c. AD 630, and I held the views I hold now, would I have left the Church and converted to 'Islam'? If not, **why** not?"
Here are many Scriptures in the Bible that speak about lying. As you can see by these many Scriptures written in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament God means what He says that He is very serious and angry with those who lie because it is an abomination to the Lord that sends many to hell. Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Leviticus 19:11 ‘You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another. Psalms 119:163 I hate and abhor lying, But I love Your law. Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness does not lie, But a false witness will utter lies. Proverbs 13:5 A righteous man hates lying, But a wicked man is loathsome and comes to shame. Proverbs 17:7 Excellent speech is not becoming to a fool, Much less lying lips to a prince. Hosea 11:12 “Ephraim has encircled Me with lies, And the house of Israel with deceit; But Judah still walks with God, Even with the Holy One who is faithful. Zephaniah 3:13 The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness And speak no lies, Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; For they shall feed their flocks and lie down, And no one shall make them afraid.” John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. Acts 5:3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds. 1 Timothy 4:2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. James 3:1 My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. Revelation 22:15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
If you do believe, the worst-case scenario is that in Heaven Jesus will say to you. I was only speaking metaphorically, but it’s all good and I love you. BUT. If you don’t believe, Jesus will say: I’m sorry you didn’t believe, because you missed out on life!
It is fine to say things about your religion to defend its doctrine to be true whether you are a Catholic or a Protestant or any other religious belief like the Mormons, JW, SDA, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism, Islam, etc... but one thing that could be against you and your religion is that if you say something doctrinal that is a lie you will all end up in hell for eternity for being a liar my friend. As an example, the Roman Catholic church keeps preaching the doctrinal of “Purgatory” to be true with many other doctrinal that are not Biblical, and the Protestants teach to their members that their salvation is guaranteed to be secure in the heresy doctrine of Calvin of Once Saved Always Saved, should you all not make sure before making those claims to look deeper into the Scriptures that they are true where it could make you lose your salvation instead. If there is a possibility to convince you that those doctrines are lies and you deny it to be a lie and keep preaching that lie and as far as your faith is in that religion and say you are a born-again Christian and have been baptized, do you know you still will not inherit the kingdom of God? All that belief will do you no good and your effort to still partake in this religion even thinking it is the truth will all be done in vain if you keep on lying and believe in the lie. All the good things you are doing while being a member of that religion like going to every Sunday mass, praying the rosary, going to confession, taking the Eucharist, doing the seven sacraments, or being a member of the clergy priesthood of a church or is in the halls of Vatican either the pope, bishops or cardinals will not save you if you commit one sin of lying. It only takes one sin to end up in hell. Look what happened to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Only one sin they were kicked out of the garden and you who are lying will be kicked out of heaven. That should put fear in your heart to think seriously not lying. Luke 12:4-5 “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! So, I would recommend all of you to be extra careful of what you are saying especially things that you say are not written in the inspired words of God in the Bible you could be blamed to send many to hell and yourself for lying. It will be a terrible day for you when you will face your King and Judge Jesus Christ and Him telling you that those doctrines you have been teaching and preaching and you were warned about them were lies and you did not believe it, and then be sent to hell. It will be too late to ask for forgiveness on that judgment day my friend. I recommend forgetting and leaving aside all those who are mentioned in the Bible like Mary, Joseph the saints that you put too much emphasis on as if they are important to be part of your salvation as not call anyone mother, holy father, dead saints, or one as vicar of Christ which the only one who is the Vicar of Christ is the Holy Spirit, not the pope. When Jesus ascended into heaven He told His disciples He was going to give us a comforter and that is the one we should all look up to and listen for what He was going to say to us and not add someone else in its place like Mary and all the saints because that would be committing the sin of idolatry which places the RCC and you in grave danger. Jesus said there will be many Christians who think they did good things in their life and will be shocked to find out on their day of judgment they are not saved. That also means that certain people they know are saved like the popes, bishops, cardinals, priests, Catholics even Protestant ministers, pastors, and Christians Protestants that could happen to them. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ What you should all do is stick to the source of the word of God that's from the Bible get rid of all your pride in man-made additional doctrines and written books, and stop trying to add or look for something more than what is not in the Bible or come with your interpretation by twisting the Scriptures to justify your belief, it is extremely dangerous to your soul. This passage below in 2 Timothy proves to us, is all we need to know is how to be saved. I would almost say it is showing to us that the “Bible Only” (Sola Scriptura) is all we need for our salvation. We don't need another religion or books to tell us more about what we already have in the Bible. If we follow and obey the holy, inspired, infallible words of God in the Bible and take it as our source for our salvation then it is good enough. If we take it at its face value and in the context that it was written at that time then we would find it is not necessary to make one of our own. 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. In conclusion. The Bible is all we need to know how to be saved. Adding more than what the Bible says could lead us to hell instead of helping us make it to heaven by false doctrines. It is safer that we stick to the words of God instead of the words of men and not venture somewhere else outside the Bible that nothing is mentioned in it you try to add more doctrines to improve your religion to bring more into your religion. In writing extra books to add or take out of the book, the Bible warns us not to do so. Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Many religions and churches have walked further and further away from the truth and have become apostates and that is why so many are on their way to hell today my friend. In Luke 10:16 Christ said to His Apostles [first-century apostolic fathers], "Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; whoever rejects me rejects Him who sent me." Jesus Himself said clearly and unambiguously: "The churches that came many centuries after the first century apostolic fathers has rejected Him and walked away from His teaching through them which is a different gospel and made themselves a religion of their own and they called it Roman Catholic, but hijack the name Catholic, which means universal by the way, to say “You see we were there when Peter was alive and Jesus chose the Catholic church to be His church. That is a lie from the pit of hell, therefore it is another type of religious denomination like all the other apostate man-made religions that follow and that he hates". Jesus Christ's church is not a religion but a relationship. The true church says Jesus Christ is His body, "THE GREAT I AM, THE ROCK, CORNERSTONE, AND HIGHPRIEST, THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA" not a man-made building built by hands but built WITH HIS HANDS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT WHERE THE GATES OF HELL WILL NOT PREVAILED AGAINST IT.
Whenever I hear a homily or talk about the Holy Communion, triggers me to share my point of view. To us devout Catholics, the Sacrifice of the Mass is in fact, our spiritual sustenance as we receive Holy Communion, as many times as possible. We Catholics, venerate our Lord in the sacrifice of the mass and in receiving the HOST, being the Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ. In my First Communion back home and in my upbringing, I learned that when receiving the Holy Communion, the Host should remain on your tongue until it dissolves, even taking extra care, not get it to touch your teeth. It bothers me to the CORE, to see people these days, chewing the Host like a carrot or celery on their way back to their seat. I wish I could shout to them what follows. Since it is not proper, I only share my point of view with you. At the Mass, As you take Holy Communion, Please exercise, With Extreme VENERATION Whom you just put into your mouth. *************** Either receiving the Host on your tongue Or hand, It should lay on your tongue, and should remain there, as it dissolves. Once back to your seat, It will continue to dissolve, and it will give you, a special and Intimate time of reflection with your Lord. The Bread of Life to feed your inner most needs, in order to serve HIM better, each time
To add to this, another translation for the Greek is ‘to gnaw’ I love this individual’s passion for the Eucharist. I hope this may inspire you to delve deeper into the Scriptures!
Keith is mistaken in his historical research. Here is the history: During the Middle Ages the doctrine as taught by Augustine gradually gave way for the doctrine of the RCC. In AD 818 Paschasius Radbert formally propounded the doctrine that the material elements in the sacrament are by divine power literally changed into the very body that was born of Mary, the outward appearance of bread and wine being, after consecration, a mere veil that deceives the senses. This doctrine was opposed by the foremost theologians of the day, and particularly by Rabanus Maurus and Ratramnus, who points out that the new teaching confounds the sign with the thing signified and replaces faith by a gross materialism. The new doctrine was defended by Herbert (1093) and shortly after that became the subject of furious controversy. About the year 1050 Berenger of Tours affirmed that the body of Christ is indeed present in the Eucharist, not in essence, but in power; that the elements are changed, but not in SUBSTANCE; and that, in order to secure this change and power, not merely consecration, but faith on the recipient as well is needed. His views were strenuously opposed by Lanfranc (1089) and Humbert (1059) , who made the crass statement that the "very body of Christ was truly held in the priests hand, broken and chewed by the teeth of the faithful". This view was finally defined by Hildebert of Tours (1033), and designated as the doctrine of transubstantiation. This doctrine suggested a good many problems to the Schoolmen, such as those respecting the duration of the change effected, the relation of substance and accidents, the manner of Christ's presence in both elements and in every part of them, the adoration of the host, and so on. Transubstantiation theory developed gradually over time. It was not universally accepted.
Keith Nester, the early Catholics might have believed in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, but NO Christians ever believed in it,because they knew it's not true. You Catholics make things up, things that oppose the Bible.
@alanhales6369 From one Alan to another: The assumption made here is astounding. What you’re implying is that the Christian world for 1500 years believed something heretical and made up, and that Martin Luther and subsequent reformers simply got things back on track? And that 1 billion Christians today believe in heresy (opposed to the Bible) and something made up? To say no Christian believed in true Eucharistic presence, ever-where are you sourcing this from?
No catholics don't make things up, read the gospel of John 6:25_70 but emphasis on verse 53 When his followers heard him say they have to eat his flesh and drink his blood, they made the decision to stop following him because the teaching was hard, Jesus didn't give an explanation of what he meant like he had done for the other parables that the apostles didn't understand instead he asked them if they also wanted to leave. It's a choice in the end, one has to take it or leave it.
As you don’t believe in His Real True Presence in the Eucharist investigate Eucharistic miracles, signs from God that science can’t explain with the same AB blood type & living heart tissue
@@alanbalfe4023 there's no such Biblical thing as a Eucharist, there was no Eucharist until the 4th century when the Catholic Church was formed . Catholics aren't Christians, they are a man made devil inspired religion.
You will never be fed by the flesh. That is the teaching of Jesus himself, yet somehow Keith thinks he knows better! John 6:63 [63]It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. These words are not metaphoric. Why wouldn't anyone believe?
Why are you so hostile? You do not know Keith personally, and yet, your pride screams to the point where the demons run from you! Please take care of that toxic pride of yours, and please, please seek psychological help before you implode!! Seriously!
I know I don’t understand why they stop right after the hard teaching part. Then the remaining disciples tell Jesus it was hard and Jesus goes on to explain it. He ends with the no power in flesh only in the spirit. The whole point of John chapter 6 is to wake up the Jews that he is going to die for sins like they use to sacrifice animals. However we have Luther and other Protestant brothers that think the lord is present. This kind of stuff makes it so difficult to witness to atheist. It’s like I have to break down the Christian faith before I can give them the plain gospel.
I don't really find it plausible to make Spirit synonymous with metaphorical as if it's the same thing. And to try make it seem that Jesus's flesh profits nothing is also just an attempt to dismiss Him in the Eucharist. I don't think any of these readings would be problematic if you just believed Him and took the necessary steps to receive Him. May God bless you.
@@jaypritchard7122 you missed the point of the chapter. Jesus is saying He is equal with God. That is the hardest saying that Jesus ever spoke. For a Jewish person it is impossible to believe. That is why He ends it with... John 6:61-62 [61]When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? [62]What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? Do you see it now? Jesus is saying, if you could see Me in the place where I came from, then you would believe who I am. Got it?
@@jeromepopiel388 “No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”” John 10:18 ESV All through John Jesus is making hints, prophecy to what must happen to him. Nicodemus and Caiaphas were starting to wake up. However for our (gentile) sake OT scripture/prophecy had to come to pass so that we can be adopted into the kingdom.

I like that shirt.
Thanks amen
A video report on this can be found on same channel.
I truly believe, I reasoned this through but I do enjoy having videos like this as additional fortification.
Me too! I want to go more often.
Awesome, Keith! This is so very good! Thanks much!
Big fan of that series to hear multiple takes on the readings and just apply it to my heart
Shalom from Malaysia.
Hello everyone
Thank you
Thank you brother! God bless!
AMEN 🙏
I remember the story of St Tarcisius.
Jesus did not take a door or a vine into His holy and venerable hands and say: "This is Me." The bread and the wine, on the other hand......
The angels are very careful to never accept any devotion focused on them because it would be counter productive.
Thank you Kieth as always I enjoyed listening to you❣️Question:- In the 1st reading it says She Why?
Jimmy Akin has a talk on that topic which you might find enlightful.
It's also funny considering Constantine moved the capital to Turkey (Constantinople).
@ c. 12:50 - "Now there were others who held that view; but they were [always] in the minority: they weren't able to get any traction."
Except for Mohammed and his teachings.
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Leviticus 19:11 ‘You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.
Zephaniah 3:13 The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness And speak no lies, Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth; For they shall feed their flocks and lie down, And no one shall make them afraid.”
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
What you should all do is stick to the source of the word of God that's from the Bible get rid of all your pride in man-made additional doctrines and written books, and stop trying to add or look for something more than what is not in the Bible or come with your interpretation by twisting the Scriptures to justify your belief, it is extremely dangerous to your soul.
Thank you so much for putting it into words! And backing it up with scripture. May God reach many who read this! God bless you!
At the Mass, As you take
Holy Communion,
Please exercise,
With Extreme
VENERATION
Whom
you just put into
your mouth.
***************
Either receiving the Host
on your tongue
Or hand,
It should lay on your tongue,
and should remain there,
as it dissolves.
Once back to your seat,
It will continue to dissolve,
and it will give you,
a special
and Intimate time
of reflection
with your Lord.
The Bread of Life to feed
your inner most needs,
in order to serve HIM better,
each time
In the original Greek of the gospel, the word used by Jesus was to 'chew'...
To add to this, another translation for the Greek is ‘to gnaw’
I love this individual’s passion for the Eucharist. I hope this may inspire you to delve deeper into the Scriptures!
Keith is mistaken in his historical research.
Here is the history:
During the Middle Ages the doctrine as taught by Augustine gradually gave way for the doctrine of the RCC.
@@sonsofpolaris6102Good. God bless. Hopefully he reads it.
Keith Nester, the early Catholics might have believed in the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, but NO Christians ever believed in it,because they knew it's not true.
You Catholics make things up, things that oppose the Bible.
@alanhales6369
From one Alan to another: The assumption made here is astounding.
No catholics don't make things up, read the gospel of John 6:25_70 but emphasis on verse 53
When his followers heard him say they have to eat his flesh and drink his blood, they made the decision to stop following him because the teaching was hard, Jesus didn't give an explanation of what he meant like he had done for the other parables that the apostles didn't understand instead he asked them if they also wanted to leave.
@@geoffjs the Eucharist is a devil inspired man made doctrine. There's no such Biblical thing as the Eucharist.
You will never be fed by the flesh. That is the teaching of Jesus himself, yet somehow Keith thinks he knows better!
John 6:63
[63]It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
John 6:61-62
[61]When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
[62]What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
Do you see it now? Jesus is saying, if you could see Me in the place where I came from, then you would believe who I am.
Got it?
@@jeromepopiel388 “No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.””
John 10:18 ESV
All through John Jesus is making hints, prophecy to what must happen to him. Nicodemus and Caiaphas were starting to wake up. However for our (gentile) sake OT scripture/prophecy had to come to pass so that we can be adopted into the kingdom.
Thank you Keith! Praise God
