I think that he list so much in his teenage years (rejected and threatened by both his mom and dad, couldn't see his little brother anymore, lost the girl he loved with his whole heart, the death of his lifelong friend, and his literal freedom and mental peace taken away bc he should be in jail and is chased by the police, somehow his innocence (killed a man)) that by season 7 he was just dead inside. You can see by the way he walks around, looks too tired for anything, looks pissed and anxious, no emotion in the voice, He simply dissolved. I love the actor who played the character in the sense that he's really good and must have a great emotional intelligence to be able to understand all of that and portray it so naturally

i used to not rlly like him, but then I realized.. the way he acts, that cool guy, that doesn‘t give a fuck, that’s not him. he doesn’t want to show his soft side and he loved effy so much, but he didn’t mean the same to her. that probably made everything worse. he is such a relatable character and touches my heart. :)
Cook behaved like a stupid kid,but in reality he was more mature and realistic than all of them.he wanted to be that carefree prick he pretended to be but deep down was just a broken child forced to become become old before his time and hated by his peers he tried to appease.
In 3a I hated him, but after 3x06 I started to love him. He and JJ were real friends and Freddy just wanted to be with Effy... Effy ruined everything, I really don't like her character.
i love Effy, honestly but she didnt know what she wanted and hurted people, especially Cook and Freddie. Which led to Freddie’s death and that ruined everybody

I loved cook, he was such a tough guy with a "dont give a shit" attitude but under all that he was just a scared little boy. ❤
