I have been a drug addict and homeless and without a vehicle. i have had to go to food banks multiple times and it is so degrading to even have to go through the door and then have someone tell you that you have to fill out an application and your only allowed to come so often is one of the worst feelings i have ever felt. Even since i have become a Christian and gotten sober and rebuilt my life I still get this feeling in the back of my throat if i even get close to my food budget because i am absolutely horrified to have to go back to one of those places.

It's ridiculous what you have to go through to get some food ONCE A MONTH at a food pantry! People are starving. I lost my food stamps. Big deal. They can keep their $23.00! That's milk and bread. 🙄 God help us. Thank you for all your church is doing. I wish there was a church like that here.

It takes money to do all they do, plus risk their lives rescuing trafficked children, etc, etc, etc. I wish I lived close to there and be involved in what they do.

That's the temperature in Vancouver, BC Canada - it's lower than -50 C (= -58 Farenheith) in other parts of Canda. Brrrr..... It rarely to never gets lower than -7C in Vancouver. We usually have a balmy -1C this time of year; -15C (yesterday's temperature) is unheard of!!!.
