I legit woke up one day and said I wanna be a cheerleader... I'm going into Sophomore year next year and want to do cheer with absolutely no experience... thanks for tips
1. Be loud and confident 2. Technique is everything-not how good you are 3. Have a positive attitude 4. Be open to learn 5. Be open to any position 6. Act what you know what you're doing/be confident
Guys so I’m a freshman going into 9th grade and I tried out for cheerleading. I had NO experience or tumbling skills, I couldn’t even do a cartwheel. The only thing that I could do was act confident and be loud to slayyy those cheer chants while smiling the whole time during tryouts. At the end, I MADE IT!!
girl, i tried out for my jv cheer team and threw rlly bad tumbling and basic stunts bc i come from dance, but i smiled the e n t i r e time and i MADE THE TEAM!
Please read this if you are thinking of joining a high school team at no experience: I joined with zero experience and I was scared and nervous and was really intimidated by the girls at tryouts who had back tucks or perfect jumps or hit their stunts every time because I couldn’t do any of those things. But the girls who had the bad attitudes or didn’t really care were the ones who got cut. Half of my team ended up being people who had zero experience because we were so eager to learn and we were actually pretty good this season so don’t let your experience level dictate what you will do in your life: just go for it and have a good mindset of the fact that you are going to grow and learn new things and will be eager to do whatever it takes for your team Go out for the team and have fun❤️
I just started CHeer in an actual gym and I can’t do a cartwheel and all these girls can do a back hand and a full and I was like. I’m not gonna be able to do any of that. But now you said that I’m gonna tryn
I just became a cheerleader (I’m 13) and I have minimal experience I’m not that flexible or have the best jumps but I made the team and I’m exited to see what I can learn and hopefully make the team in highschool💖
Im 13 and thinking about doing cheer in high school so I asked my mom and she said no :( but I think if I tell her to let me go to tryouts and if I make it I can do it but I have zero experience I’ve wanted to do this ever since I was little oh and I can’t do flips🤦🏼♀️
Arie Alv I also want to do it in high school and I still can’t flip or splits but this summer I’m really going to start stretching to get them, also don’t let the flip part stop you from trying out! I hope you make the team!
ok, I just became a cheerleader 6 months ago, and I had absolutely no cheer experience before becoming a cheerleader, I can stunt by doing like libs bc i’m a flyer, I can tumble and I just got a back walkover, my jumps got super high by stretching. it’s possible I promise :)
I made my eighth grade team with no experience. Here’s my tips. I did a roundoff with a high rebound and just a cartwheel for standing tumbling. This really motivated me. I’m a sophomore and it’s my 1st time trying out. I am flexible, confident and always smiling. 😁 thank your for the advice and hopefully I make the team 🤷🏻♀️
My tryouts start tomorrow! I'm so nervous but this helped! Edit: I just finished my final tryout I'll let y'all know! Edit again: I got in!! With no experience!! It's definitely possible!!
Elizabeth Xx I emailed the captain and asked her what I could do to be prepared for try outs and she sent me a dance routine and I just practiced it until I had it as perfect as I could! Also , I would recommend taking 30-40 minutes everyday to really stretch your legs and hips and start practicing jumps and working on flexibility. But everything is possible!! Good luck ❤️
I’m going to middle school, and I want to tryout for cheer. I had some experience from being in a cheer team for one year, but I’m totally not flexible. I’m going to stretch every day, and try to do cartwheels, and back flips, and front flips, but thankfully I can dance lol.
Haha same i lost my flexibility after i stopped doing gymnastics but now I’m trying out for a cheer team and i stretch everyday to get my flexibility back. But everyone tells me that I should be a dancer lol
Check out Anna McNulty's videos for stretching. they are very effective and work quickly. Download the app Cheer RX to help you with jumps and tumbling.
I’m 14 freshman turning 15 in like 20 days and I’ve always been a person who was flexible like I can to a cartwheel and a split that’s all I can learn and remember cheers really easy but back flips round offs I can’t do that stuff and I’m not skinny so idt that I can do it if any of this makes sense
I’m 15 I’m over weight I am 5’02 I never did tumbling.., I’m going in to highschool once this Corona virus is gone!, and I would like to join cheer at the highschool I got in, and I have no experience at all but I love to move and dance and jump, I also don’t know any vocabulary but hopefully I can learn before try outs!!😭❤️❤️
Also solely Flores bruh I feel you I have tryouts in 3 weeks and I'm just nervous about being the only "big" girl at tryouts but WE GOT THIS❤️ hope you make it !
I made the team last year with only a little cheer and gymnastics experience. I've never done either but my friends helped me and taught me basics. My jumps were not very good and I didn't have any tumbling besides a cartwheel and round off but I didn't show case those yet I still made the team. I was sharp, loud, and my smile never left my face. Now high school tryouts are in a few months (February 2019) and I'm so nervous. Watching videos has really built my confidence which I believe is the first step to making the team. I have also made a game plan to improve as a cheerleader for tryouts. I'm in 8th grade middle school cheer and I'm a 2nd base and not gonna lie, I'm pretty good at it. I'm going to do my all time best to become an even better base and take all the tips I can to improve. I'm also going to be doing daily experiences to improve my jumps. I don't roll my hips when I jump so that is my main focus. I'm pretty flexible and my jumps are a decent hight so I'm going to work on rolling my hips and pointing my toes then flexibility. I'm also going to work on my back tuck. I can't take tumbling classes but that doesn't stop me from learning a back tuck. I don't have any other tumbling skill besides cartwheels and round offs so to stand out on tryout day, I'm going to work for my round off back tuck and once I master that I'm going to start learning an Ariel. I'm super nervous for tryouts. Wish me luck!
Literally my confidence quotes for cheer are from a Cinderella story 😂 never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game and anything is possible if you just believe 😂
Thank you so much, I’m in my 8th grade year right now and I just can’t stop thinking about cheer next year! I currently don’t to cheer so this motivation really helps 😃
I really wanna do competitive cheer and I’ve honestly been so scared to try out because I’m 14 right now and I thought I was too old but this actually makes me want to now ahh
I came hear for the advice since me and my friend's are going to with no experience but then she said a cinderlla story and I knew I was in the right place
Am in 8th grade and I have no experience what so ever but after school I’m stretching, working out and researching. And I got some friends that are in all-star cheer and am planning on them teaching me in summer break to go practice jumps, tumbling, vocabulary. And since I saw this video, I am so devoted more than ever, you have given me hope, and confidence. Thank you!
I have literally no cheer experience and my sister was a cheerleader in high school, this video has motivated me to work harder for my cheer tryouts in two weeks Thank you so much !!!❤️
You really helped me. I woke up today and i had the dream that i am a cheerleader. Now i wanna be one but i didn‘t know how to become one with zero experience… Thank you so much for this video🥺💗✨ Stay healthy😃
I've been in cheer leading before but not really all about flips and stuff like that but kinda more like dancing and that was when i was 13 or 14 then stopped but i hope im able to cheer cause im doing it late almost my senior year and i hope its affordable and the right weight
How'd it go? I think I may miss my tryouts this year cause usually they start sophomore year and it's already fall! So I guess I'll have to be on senior year and practice like shit this year to make varsity and place my mark
highlights: 1. focus on what you CAN control! (ex. cheering loudly, being encouraging and social to show spirit) 2. it doesn't matter how good you are- coaches and judges are looking for spirit and attention to detail, and the ability to take constructive criticism 3. learn WHAT moves are (you dont need to know how to do them, but maybe try learning what they look like) 4. get to know all the girls who are trying out and create bonds with them, they might be your future teammates! 5. know how to network yourself & show judges your potential + be dedicated 6. don't stress too much about cheer, make sure you're doing it for yourself 7. have fun with it and have fun with your teammates ❤
I've wanted to be a cheerleader since I was in grade 3. Due to certain circumstances I've never been able to try out before, but next year's my junior year and I'll finally have the opportunity to try out for the cheer team. I'm gonna work myself to the bone this year with practice and these tips really help me feel more confident about this. Wish me luck on making the team♡
I want to be a cheerleader so badly but I have 0 cheer experience, I’m not flexible, I can’t tumble and my jumps are not good. I’m trying out in March and i want this so bad please pray for me! I am trying to get my friends to help me and I want to sign up for a class. Thanks for posting this video it really helped! Remember Jesus love you! ❤
I’m starting ninth grade in a week and I really want to be on the cheer team. At my school it’s just eight graders and ninth graders. I believe there’s only ninth graders on the cheer team. I have absolutely NO experience. I can’t do jumps, I CAN do cartwheels, and back bends, I can do any flips. I can’t tumble or stunt, or do the splits, but I can smile.
I’m a freshman and trying out for cheer for my sophomore year and I’m scared but excited to tryout because I have seen it and I’ve always done the easy cheers in the crowd!
I have tryouts this week and I’m on my freshman year of high school. I have no cheer experience at all my little sister is a cheerleader tho. I am kinda flexible but I’ve never done tumbling or jumps so I’m kinda nervous but I can always work on it. This video helped me so much, it boosted up my confidence so thank you so much for making this video ❤️❤️
Be a cheerleader because you love cheer. Don't be a cheerleader because your mom wants you to be a cheerleader. If you don't like cheer, get to know it a little better, or if it just isn't your thing, tell your mom. I don't know your situation but communication is the best mother-daughter quality.
I'm going to be a senior in high school & I'm going to public school for the first time & I've wanted to be a cheerleader for a long time but I did dance instead but thank you for the tips it's really helpful:)
i’m 13 and i want to cheer more that anything, i’m small and light and aspire to be a flyer. This video has made me so much more motivated to keep going and practice everyday. I practice jumps on my parents bed (i’ll do it on the grass when the weather gets better), i can do a cartwheel i’m working on a round off, i’m not flexible at all but it doesn’t stop me trying and my dance skills have improved so much! fingers crossed for tryouts!!
This video inspired me. I just started cheer this year and I have no experience in flips nor jumps so it has always held me back from trying out. I have only been to two practices so far and I felt very uncomfortable being around all these girls that have been doing cheer since they were like 3 and I just started at 12. I now have got the confidence to start gymnastics and ask questions if I need to learn anything and I take the corrections to mind because I’m very determined to be on the team and learn from my mistakes to get to were I want to be not only for team but for my self. I know if I keep to it I will get there😊
I'm so nervous for cheer tryouts they're next Wednesday. I have no experience and can barley do a cartwheel. This video made me feel so much better. Thank you for the confidence boost!
just earlier today i decided to try working towards cheer for my high school team. next year i'm going into 9th grade so i'm starting about where you started so that gives me hope lol. i think this video (and your channel) will really help me get started on my high school cheer journey so thank you very much for this! also i love the makeup look!!
I am currently preparing to try out for cheer this school year! I am 17 going into my senior year of high school, and working on my toe touch. The nice thing is that my school isn’t allowed to have tumbling/advanced stunts, which I am terrified of, but my cousins who do all star cheer taught me how to stunt (base and flyer). I just need to work on my jumps. I am excited!
I’m in 7th grade and I know how to do all the basics forward roll, handstand, cart wheel round off and a front walkover and I just woke up today and wanted to start cheer and this motivated me 💗
Same and I can do those and a few other things and I almost gave my back handspring and the same thing happened. I woke up and I was like “I WANT TO DO CHEER!!” And I’m going to 7th grade on Wednesday. But I know your now going into 9th grade because this was commented 2 years ago.
When I started cheerleading I was lost I was tossed into a stunt group and I almost quit but I kept with it and now I’m a flyer and kinda wanna go out for my school team but who knows
im 15 going into my junior year next year and i just started cheer. no experience, tried out once and didnt get in, no tumbling, no splits. I tried out again the year after i didnt make it and i made it! im gonna cheer varsity and im gonna give you guys some tips!! DO STRETCHES, SMILE LIKE CRAZY, JUDGES LOVE FACIALS (some), be sharp!! super sharp that saved me. if your jumps arent high or good make sure your technique is good. (like the way you do your jump). make sure you are loud. volunteer to do the call out or to go first. be confident. if you mess up KEEP GOINGGGG!! The main thing that got me on the team is that i wanted to be there and i displayed that. i showed the judges that i was having fun and i made the team! TELL ME IF YOU MAKE YOUR TEAM
I'm not a cheerleader. I'm a fresh new gymnast, but this really motivated me. I'm 13 and a lot of the girls started gymnastics when they were 4. This inspired me to be the best that I can be. I may be inexperienced, but at least I already knew how to do cartwheels, splits, roundoffs, back walkovers, front walkovers, handstands, and backbends.
I’ve cheered before and I was really good I took a break and I’m going through a mental block but you motivated me and try outs are in April I hope I make the team !!!!
Thank you so much for this! A couple days ago, i woke up and said “i want be a cheerleader.” I’m going into 7th Grade, and practicing every day. pray for me!❤️
Thank you for the advice! I’m in 11th grade and I’m jumping into competition season for cheer. I signed up for tryouts today and I’m working on my splits every day. Hopefully I make the team :)
I’m thinking about trying out for the cheer team at my school next year since I will be a senior. I have no experience in cheer and the only thing I can do is a cartwheel and round off. I’m gonna give it my best and see what happens!
I'm a little confused. I go to cheer athletics for classes but there are a lot of coaches and I don't really know who to talk to. Are you sure that everyone who tries out gets on a team? Luv ur channle btw 💘
@@isabellameirelles9719 haha it's possible! I made the cheer team in college and I had no cheer or gymnastic experience prior :) I just put in the hard work and dedication!
Omg this really helped me alot im in middle school and im gonna try out 💕And Whoever Else Is Just Know Every Girl With You Trying Out Is Gonna Be Just As Scared Or Nervous As You Are 💗
i’m going into junior year in 2 months, and yesterday was the last day of tryouts, where we showed everyone our rallying, 3 cheers, a routine, jumps, and tumbling. i was worried but when it was my turn i messed up a bit, but i continued smiling and being very very loud, and results come out tomorrow morning so i’ll come back and let you know if i made the team :)) EDIT: I MADE THE TEAM EVEN THO I MESSED UP. i was loud and smiled the entire time!!!
Hey Alyssa I have a question, Would you recommend Cheer for someone with scoliosis? I have it and my doctor tells me not to do any tumbles and I'm scared 😭
listen to your doctor, health over cheer (sorry to say it because cheer is the best) but would you rather have issues for the rest of your life, or do cheer/tumbles?
@@savannahannbennett I actually ended up doing cheer all of my school year last year and it was amazing! My team didn't require tumbling so I was okay on that part. Unfortunately I didn't make the team for this season, but that's because I had a panic attack mid cheer and messed up.
I’m am 12 years old and have wanted to cheer since I was 6 years old. I have finally gotten the opportunity to join- My best friend is a cheerleader and her mom is one of the coaches. I am so excited to be able to do this. If y’all reply to this comment I’ll tell you guys how it goes!!
I’m really scared for auditions. I decided not too long ago while playing in the pep band that I wanted to fulfill my childhood dream of being a cheerleader that my parents disapproved of. The only issue is that- next year I’ll be a senior 😭. I don’t want to be a liability, but also want to have fun. Thank you for these tips!
My school thankfully does not have tryouts, so I have a guaranteed spot on the hs team this year! I’m rly excited for it, but we’re only going to have like 6 people on there loll! I just started cheer last year in 8th grade! I am crazily uncoordinated and it took me forever of looking like an idiot, but I eventually learned the cheers! I was and still am so proud of myself for adapting. I’m hoping to get my splits back this summer so I can do this one build where I go into a front split and the bases carry me
This would've been helpful when I started cheering. I took tumbling and gymnastics classes but I knew nothing about cheer, I've been cheering for a year and I've improved a lot.
i started cheer freshman year with very little experience now its the end of my sophomore year and i'm main flyer and co captain plus we got 3rd in our state division last year so anything is possible
I legit woke up one day and said I wanna be a cheerleader... I'm going into Sophomore year next year and want to do cheer with absolutely no experience... thanks for tips

Im a 18yr old in uni, can't even do basic stunts like front roll, back roll, and handstand, or splitz.
I think the US puts too much emphasis on starting sports as children. In Europe, most cheerleaders start as teenagers or adults.

@@oyeolamiii me too!
I wanna be a cheerleader I’m going into 7th grade idk though

Check out Anna McNulty's videos for stretching. they are very effective and work quickly. Download the app Cheer RX to help you with jumps and tumbling.
thanks for the advice, i have no experience but try outs are in two weeks and this helped:)
edit: i made the team!
Congrats!
Omg this was made in time I have cheer tryouts in less than 12 hours thank you so much for boosting my confidence and mood💖💖💖
Did you make it?
Yeah did u make it?
Hey hun did you make it?!💖💖💖💖💖💖
@violet subliminals yes, as a matter of fact I just got out of practice
I’m 14 freshman turning 15 in like 20 days and I’ve always been a person who was flexible like I can to a cartwheel and a split that’s all I can learn and remember cheers really easy but back flips round offs I can’t do that stuff and I’m not skinny so idt that I can do it if any of this makes sense
You’ve got this, you can do it, just keep pushing love!!
Same. I’m 14 and I’m doing sideline cheer tryouts next week for my freshman year. Wish me luck!
I was a cheerleader when I was 9 and I was flexible and now I’m 13 I can’t lift my leg up Nd imma be a cheer leader when I’m in high school 🙈
lol same i cheered in elementary school but stopped and now i wanna do it in high school bc y not im bored
did you get in?
I used to do gymnastics when I was nine.
I’m 14 and I’m doing sideline cheer tryouts next week for my freshman year. Wish me luck!
I’m overweight to I’m 12 I’m 5’5 and weigh 117lbs
Lovely birds I don't mean to be rude but 117 isn't overweight 💀I'm 5'5 and 175lbs I'm overweight lmao
Also solely Flores bruh I feel you I have tryouts in 3 weeks and I'm just nervous about being the only "big" girl at tryouts but WE GOT THIS❤️ hope you make it !
I’m 12
Oh and I though I’m 5’5 but I’m only 5’2
I made the team last year with only a little cheer and gymnastics experience.
Did you make it??
I am exactly the same, but instead of a cheerleader, I'm a gymnast

Thank you!
I have literally no cheer experience and my sister was a cheerleader in high school, this video has motivated me to work harder for my cheer tryouts in two weeks Thank you so much !!!❤️
Leilani Carr I’m happy I can help💗
Hey girl did you make the team?!
i know its been 5 year but thank you so much this helped me SOOOO MUCH YOUR THE BEST
@@Mrs.PalomoRomeroJulianab-fg1pb love you!
You really helped me. I woke up today and i had the dream that i am a cheerleader. Now i wanna be one but i didn‘t know how to become one with zero experience…
Thank you so much for this video🥺💗✨ Stay healthy😃
Started last semester (19 years old) and I love it
I've been in cheer leading before but not really all about flips and stuff like that but kinda more like dancing and that was when i was 13 or 14 then stopped but i hope im able to cheer cause im doing it late almost my senior year and i hope its affordable and the right weight
How'd it go? I think I may miss my tryouts this year cause usually they start sophomore year and it's already fall! So I guess I'll have to be on senior year and practice like shit this year to make varsity and place my mark
highlights:
1. focus on what you CAN control! (ex. cheering loudly, being encouraging and social to show spirit)
2. it doesn't matter how good you are- coaches and judges are looking for spirit and attention to detail, and the ability to take constructive criticism
3. learn WHAT moves are (you dont need to know how to do them, but maybe try learning what they look like)
4. get to know all the girls who are trying out and create bonds with them, they might be your future teammates!
5. know how to network yourself & show judges your potential + be dedicated
6. don't stress too much about cheer, make sure you're doing it for yourself
7. have fun with it and have fun with your teammates ❤
I’ve been in tumbling classes for 7 months. I’m in level two now.
Ah good job!
Congrats :D
I've wanted to be a cheerleader since I was in grade 3. Due to certain circumstances I've never been able to try out before, but next year's my junior year and I'll finally have the opportunity to try out for the cheer team. I'm gonna work myself to the bone this year with practice and these tips really help me feel more confident about this. Wish me luck on making the team♡
did you ever make it?
I want to be a cheerleader so badly but I have 0 cheer experience, I’m not flexible, I can’t tumble and my jumps are not good. I’m trying out in March and i want this so bad please pray for me! I am trying to get my friends to help me and I want to sign up for a class. Thanks for posting this video it really helped! Remember Jesus love you! ❤
Good luck ❤❤
I’m starting ninth grade in a week and I really want to be on the cheer team. At my school it’s just eight graders and ninth graders. I believe there’s only ninth graders on the cheer team. I have absolutely NO experience. I can’t do jumps, I CAN do cartwheels, and back bends, I can do any flips. I can’t tumble or stunt, or do the splits, but I can smile.
Wow you uploaded at a normal time let’s go
FaZe Kaz only because I fell asleep editing at. 2am
I’m a freshman and trying out for cheer for my sophomore year and I’m scared but excited to tryout because I have seen it and I’ve always done the easy cheers in the crowd!
Me watching this video AFTER cheer tryouts 😂😭💀
Sameeee😭😭😭
BAHAHAHHA
Did you make it :)
@Lexi McKibben what did they make you do at tryouts??
@Lexi McKibben ooo okayyy thanks. I wanna tryout next school year but I’m scared
I have tryouts this week and I’m on my freshman year of high school. I have no cheer experience at all my little sister is a cheerleader tho. I am kinda flexible but I’ve never done tumbling or jumps so I’m kinda nervous but I can always work on it.
This video helped me so much, it boosted up my confidence so thank you so much for making this video ❤️❤️
jungkooks thighs did you make it ???
Isabelle Light yup I did :) it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be
@@pau_x8 this is sooo late, but any tips ? like is it something to be so nervous about??
Thanks. my momma wants me to be a cheerleader because my momma wants to brag about her daughter. That just hurts me.
Be a cheerleader because you love cheer. Don't be a cheerleader because your mom wants you to be a cheerleader. If you don't like cheer, get to know it a little better, or if it just isn't your thing, tell your mom. I don't know your situation but communication is the best mother-daughter quality.
@@kathymarcia9970 thanks I appreciate it. The only thing I dont like about cheer (from what I know) are the outfits
@@mari9564 Yeah but I am pretty sure you can choose to wear that stuff
roses are rosie aww what don’t you like about them ?
*Meanwhile there's my mom telling me not to listen to my friend and instead not try out for cheer.*
I'm going to be a senior in high school & I'm going to public school for the first time & I've wanted to be a cheerleader for a long time but I did dance instead but thank you for the tips it's really helpful:)
I’m going to try out next week with no experience!! I’m scared but I will follow all your tips and see what happens!! I’ll keep y’all updated!!
Update?
i’m 13 and i want to cheer more that anything, i’m small and light and aspire to be a flyer.
Thank you for the confidence boost!
hi did you end up making it in? i have tryouts today and i’m in the same position as you were
I am 14 and I want to be a cheerleader when I am in high school next year
Same! Also army!! 💜
just earlier today i decided to try working towards cheer for my high school team. next year i'm going into 9th grade so i'm starting about where you started so that gives me hope lol. i think this video (and your channel) will really help me get started on my high school cheer journey so thank you very much for this! also i love the makeup look!!
All these comments are making me SOOOOO much more confident about this
Sameeee
Seriously!
I’m a former cheerleader and I haven’t cheerd for a year so this video refreshed me and I’m trying to learn everything again
I want to learn but I’m scared lol. I did gymnastics and I’m gonna do more, will that help? Please respond!
But I know your now going into 9th grade because this was commented 2 years ago.
yuup ive had no cheer expirience and my voice is really quiet but i still made it out of 160 girls 🥳💘💘
This is actually useful I never done cheer, I’m not flexible and I made the cheer team!!
Im loud, confident, flexible, postive, and good balance. But the only con is i can not do a backflip or handsprings.😩😩😩😩😭😭😭.
hOW yOu dOiNG sameeeeee
I’m all those things but all i can do is a cartwheel, round off, splits, and bridge. I’m trying and i’m so scared.
update: i made the team 🥳
Ash Yay!
SAME!
I’m already a cheerleader! I’m actually going to cheer practice today!
Hopefully I make the team :)
im a gymnast, transfering into cheer for this upcoming freshman year, very excited
I’m thinking about trying out for the cheer team at my school next year since I will be a senior. I have no experience in cheer and the only thing I can do is a cartwheel and round off. I’m gonna give it my best and see what happens!
what happened im trying out for my senior year too
im starting as a freshman and im the only one who doesnt know the cheers or anything and this was helpful thank you :)
is it too late if im going into junior year next year?
I've done sports (soccer, basketball) all my life, and this coming junior year I wanna be a cheerleader ❤
Your videos are soooo helpful and they give me so much confidence to tryout
On my way to a cheer tryout and watching this!!
So I have tryouts Thursday... I haven’t cheered for like 5 years pray for me 🤩

Oh ya thank you for this I have my first call out in 2 days
Can you join
school/game cheer if your not flexible?????
I'm a little confused. I go to cheer athletics for classes but there are a lot of coaches and I don't really know who to talk to. Are you sure that everyone who tries out gets on a team?

can you do a video about getting your backhandspring
i’m going into junior year in 2 months, and yesterday was the last day of tryouts, where we showed everyone our rallying, 3 cheers, a routine, jumps, and tumbling. i was worried but when it was my turn i messed up a bit, but i continued smiling and being very very loud, and results come out tomorrow morning so i’ll come back and let you know if i made the team :))
EDIT: I MADE THE TEAM EVEN THO I MESSED UP. i was loud and smiled the entire time!!!
Hey Alyssa I have a question, Would you recommend Cheer for someone with scoliosis? I have it and my doctor tells me not to do any tumbles and I'm scared 😭
Hol up I got the same question too 😭
listen to your doctor, health over cheer (sorry to say it because cheer is the best) but would you rather have issues for the rest of your life, or do cheer/tumbles?
@@savannahannbennett I actually ended up doing cheer all of my school year last year and it was amazing! My team didn't require tumbling so I was okay on that part. Unfortunately I didn't make the team for this season, but that's because I had a panic attack mid cheer and messed up.
Me watching this right after coming back the the orthopedist🧍🏻♀️
I’m am 12 years old and have wanted to cheer since I was 6 years old. I have finally gotten the opportunity to join- My best friend is a cheerleader and her mom is one of the coaches. I am so excited to be able to do this. If y’all reply to this comment I’ll tell you guys how it goes!!
I want to be a cheerleader but i don't even know how to do a backflip😩😩😔 any tips??
Thanks to you and your videos, I made my all star cheer team.
This is such a great video! Thank you so much! ❤️
I had cheer experience I was in California all-stars I made the team but this still is a great video love ya
What team were u on?
omg cali is one of my fav gyms, what team were u on??
My school thankfully does not have tryouts, so I have a guaranteed spot on the hs team this year! I’m rly excited for it, but we’re only going to have like 6 people on there loll! I just started cheer last year in 8th grade! I am crazily uncoordinated and it took me forever of looking like an idiot, but I eventually learned the cheers! I was and still am so proud of myself for adapting. I’m hoping to get my splits back this summer so I can do this one build where I go into a front split and the bases carry me
What do you have to do to join an Allstar cheerleading gym? Like do you have to tryout and everything like that?
This would've been helpful when I started cheering. I took tumbling and gymnastics classes but I knew nothing about cheer, I've been cheering for a year and I've improved a lot.
i started cheer freshman year with very little experience now its the end of my sophomore year and i'm main flyer and co captain plus we got 3rd in our state division last year so anything is possible
cheer tryouts are either in February or April of next year. lol I’m already watching tryna get ready since I chickened out of trying out last year.
