The meme guy, Hyungwon, actually meant to pick up the mic. In the videos or gifs of that moment, he looks at the mic went picking it up, but when he brings it to his mouth to say something, he decides it's not worth saying. 😂😂 He then puts it back down and grabs his cup to drink fabulously out of it in pure Hyungwon fashion.😂😂

Basically how I understood the story: so Hyungwon (meme guy) he's got a lot of control of time. He distributes these watches (he's the one the newspaper mentions as the missing time traveler). Wonho (shower guy) has one that he uses to go back to spar with Shownu, risking his life because he knows that it'll get him in a LOT of trouble to time travel. I think maybe IM and Minhyuk (coffee shop guy) were childhood friends BUT something happened to trap IM in one time and Minhyuk in another and so Minhyuk went back to see his best friend again - the time police/fbi/whatever shot Minhyuk's watch to keep him from time traveling. Kihyun and Jooheon are close friends or something and I think maybe Kihyun feels guilty because Jooheon was looking back towards Kihyun maybe when he crashed? So he went and bought this watch knowing it was illegal wanting to save Jooheon but when he failed repeatedly he was able to convince hyungwon to switch the timeline and make Jooheon live and Kihyun die - but then Jooheon repeats what Kihyun was doing (trying to switch the timeline) going in tune with the lyrics "My endless drama". But thats just my take on it!
I don't think Kihyun bought the watch. I think Hyungwon is kind of like the keeper of time or actual time in human form (or I could just be being dramatic and he's just a scientist/watch maker that figured out time travel lmao). I think Hyungwon saw Kihyun's struggle so he gave him the watch to time travel back to save his friend. If you'll notice, when Kihyun gets the watch it says the current year is 2017, time travelling watches hadn't been invented yet so there's no way he could think to buy one or buy one at all. On here's my theory: Time warp is not allowed because the government is afraid of its powers and what it could cause (ex. Butterfly effect). However, the one who created time travel watches was Chae Hyungwon (CHW) and he distributes his watches among regular people which the government doesn't like because it means their citizens could change history which is why only the government is allowed to have those watches and they hunt down anyone who has it. *Shownu and Wonho's part* Wonho lives in the future (2047) but he finds out that the watch that he bought is a time traveler's watch and he uses it to go 30 years back in time. There, he meets Shownu (who is either his dad or master who is the teacher of that Kendo martial arts place- notice how Wonho has a Kendo uniform right next to him in the beginning?) and he finds out about Wonho's time traveling watch, however, he never said anything about it because he cares about Wonho (either his future son or future favorite student) I'm guessing Shownu must've died somewhere between Wonho's life and Wonho went back in time to train with him because he missed him dearly. During the shower scene, he's happy cause he thinks no one knows of his powers and he thinks he can live that way for the rest of his life. However, the futuristic government FBIs catch him and take away his watch which makes Wonho very sad that he can't go back to see Shownu anymore. (Wonho must've went back and forth between his travels because he didn't want the government to be suspicious of his absence in the future world which was his present world, but then the govt. found out and catches him). *Kihyun and Jooheon part* This was very straightforward, Kihyun and Jooheon are bestfriends and travel together. However, when they get home and Jooheon drops off Kihyun, he gets into a car accident which Kihyun witnesses. Kihyun feels very guilty and heartbroken about losing his best friend and takes the chance when Hyungwon gives him a watch when Hyungwon sees that Kihyun would go back in time if he could because he's desperate to have his best friends back. However, after Kihyun goes back in time multiple times to save Jooheon, it's futile. He begs Hyungwon to save Jooheon and Hyungwon tells him that he will under one condition (where Jooheon and Kihyun's roles will have to change), Kihyun agrees and Hyungwon activates his watch to make these changes in history. However, then Jooheon wants to do the same thing for Kihyun when their roles change. *I.M. and Minhyuk's part* Minhyuk works at a coffee shop and a customer leaves their watch (probably Hyungwon because he sees that Minhyuk feels guilty about something). Minhyuk goes to a place where I.M. has grown up and tries to meet him again (notice how in the newspaper it says that a time traveler skipped a town- which means going to different places in the same time is possible). Minhyuk and I.M. were either brothers or childhood friends, but they lose contact of each other somewhere in their lifetime which is why Minhyuk wants to see I.M. and see how he's doing now. However, he gets chased by the futuristic FBI who want to take away his watch. I.M. and Minhyuk try to run away from the FBI and it reminds them of the fun they used to have in the past together. But the FBI find them and Minhyuk (who's afraid and holding onto I.M. because he doesn't want to lose him again) tries to go back to his place and bring I.M. with him but it doesn't work since the watch only takes one person. Minhyuk's watch gets shot at the last moment before his time travel and it no longer works. However, I.M. at the ending, also manages to get a watch and goes to where Minhyuk is - the coffee shop.

My understanding of the plot of the mv is that Minhyuk (coffee shop guy) and I.M. were childhood friends who ended up getting separated for whatever reason as they got older. Shownu and Wonho (the guy is the shower) are friends (there's a scene or two that lead me to believe that they're more than that but that's just wishful thinking on my part) in different time periods and Wonho loses the ability to time travel so Shownu is left waiting for him indefinitely. Jooheon and Kihyun's story is pretty obvious, Jooheon died in a car crash and then Kihyun took his place and died instead. All behind this is Hyungwon (meme guy) who's the main time traveler guy. I hope they plan to expand on this plot because I love sci-fi concepts

I am so late but as much I like how hyungwon's "memeness" is being recognized and applauded, I wish for people to also appreciate his other aspects. Not only hyungwon a very handsome man he is also a great, but underrated vocalist of monsta x which hurst me because I love his voice so much. It's so mellow yet leaves an impression. Hyungwon is also a good dancer and had participate in making choreos for their songs like From Zero. Hyungwon also works as a DJ, known by DJ H ONE and I rarely see people appreciating. His self produced songs are amazing and he has deejay in many events, the recent one being Ultra Korea, one of the biggest Korean music events. Hyungwon even writes poems. Hyungwon has also worked as a model predebut. He's also good at acting and has starred in a few dramas!! He may be shy and not tail much but he's actually very witty and understanding he's more than just a meme guy

I was wondering what was the song playing at the end ... and I was surprised by MONSTA X their moves 😍👌😋 definitly wanna see more, the stories were confusing because they looked like they were linked but they were also very distingued (i don't know if this English is correct) and the beat was also at the same time familiar in a MONSTA X way and new also the theme of the stories (sad, tragic) really contracts the upbeat feel of the song !!

I was really impressed with this comeback, especially the song "X". I'm also a total sci-fi/fantasy geek, so I think this MV has to be my favorite!

Minhyuk goes to a place where I.M. has grown up and tries to meet him again (notice how in the newspaper it says that a time traveler skipped a town- which means going to different places in the same time is possible). Minhyuk and I.M. were either brothers or childhood friends, but they lose contact of each other somewhere in their lifetime which is why Minhyuk wants to see I.M. and see how he's doing now. However, he gets chased by the futuristic FBI who want to take away his watch. I.M. and Minhyuk try to run away from the FBI and it reminds them of the fun they used to have in the past together. But the FBI find them and Minhyuk (who's afraid and holding onto I.M. because he doesn't want to lose him again) tries to go back to his place and bring I.M. with him but it doesn't work since the watch only takes one person. Minhyuk's watch gets shot at the last moment before his time travel and it no longer works. However, I.M. at the ending, also manages to get a watch and goes to where Minhyuk is - the coffee shop.

My understanding of the plot of the mv is that Minhyuk (coffee shop guy) and I.M. were childhood friends who ended up getting separated for whatever reason as they got older. Shownu and Wonho (the guy is the shower) are friends (there's a scene or two that lead me to believe that they're more than that but that's just wishful thinking on my part) in different time periods and Wonho loses the ability to time travel so Shownu is left waiting for him indefinitely. Jooheon and Kihyun's story is pretty obvious, Jooheon died in a car crash and then Kihyun took his place and died instead. All behind this is Hyungwon (meme guy) who's the main time traveler guy. I hope they plan to expand on this plot because I love sci-fi concepts

I am so late but as much I like how hyungwon's "memeness" is being recognized and applauded, I wish for people to also appreciate his other aspects. Not only hyungwon a very handsome man he is also a great, but underrated vocalist of monsta x which hurst me because I love his voice so much. It's so mellow yet leaves an impression. Hyungwon is also a good dancer and had participate in making choreos for their songs like From Zero. Hyungwon also works as a DJ, known by DJ H ONE and I rarely see people appreciating. His self produced songs are amazing and he has deejay in many events, the recent one being Ultra Korea, one of the biggest Korean music events. Hyungwon even writes poems. Hyungwon has also worked as a model predebut. He's also good at acting and has starred in a few dramas!!

I was wondering what was the song playing at the end ... and I was surprised by MONSTA X their moves 😍👌😋 definitly wanna see more, the stories were confusing because they looked like they were linked but they were also very distingued (i don't know if this English is correct) and the beat was also at the same time familiar in a MONSTA X way and new also the theme of the stories (sad, tragic) really contracts the upbeat feel of the song !!
