You are doing an amazing job at tracking your locs progression your videos are going to help and inspire a lot of people good job 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 and you’re super adorable 🥰
Im so glad I found your page 😩 I’ve always had short hair since summer before my sophomore year in HS . Finally ready to grow it out but I want loccs & scared my hair would be too short .
I've always had short hair with slow growth. It's due to being a thalassemia carrier, with vitamin deficiencies and oxidative stress. The older I get also makes my scalp very sensitive and my hair very fragile. However, I'm 42 and I still have hair all over my head and all my edges an my sensitive crown area. I shaved my sides in June 2023 and most of the hair has grown back now. I didn't wear braid, twist and crochet extensions or used dye for 4 years from 2019 just to see what my hair would do naturally. To get a change I would wear glueless wigs, half wigs, hair pieces and clip ins and pony tails to take down every night. I often wore a lot of headscarves just to protect and rest my hair and my scalp. I took vitamins, did head massage and saw a trichologist and the same stylist for 7 years. I shampoo and deep condition every week and keep on top of trims and dustings. I've figured out how to keep my hair healthy and how not to damage it. I do have times where it will fall out or get weakened due to stress but it is only noticeable to me and my stylist and my trichologists and not to anyone else. I am glad for the journey and I've learned to accept myself as I am inner and outer beauty. You can do this too and I will say you are on the right track for your age. I would say stay away from dye and wearing braids that are too tight and heavy as she said this caused damage.
Thanks for sharing your loc journey! I have been considering locs for a few years now. I should just do it already. I live in Philly and I know your in Jersey which is not far, so who is your stylist?
I've been subscribed for about a year or so now (on my other yt account), and I love watching your hair videos! I just shaved my head (3/10/2022) and I was looking for some hope on growth tips bc I also suffered from traction alopecia. I love how you are so confident in all of your videos, and how you rock all the hairstyles you have done. I was scared to shave my head, but now I'm starting to like it.😃 It's nice following your hair journey and definitely keep making more yt videos! I just subscribed on this yt account! 😁
Love your videos! Been following you awhile on Instagram and was so excited when you made you secret loc journey public! I recently started my loc journey feb 21, 2021. Loving it and the styles I’ve done so far. I’m currently doing retwists every 4 weeks, but going to try to leave my retwist/style in longer. You look amazing.
Okay first of all, I found your channel shortly after I shaved my head because I thought I was going to KEEP my hair at a buzzcut. My hair wad growing out with your hair until you shaved it in March ,since then my hair has now grown back to rhe length it took me four years to retain previously (I was a very scissor happy natural😂- single strand knots? TIME FOR A TRIM; split ends? TIME FOR A TRIM) The point is _God restores_ because your hairline was fully recovered by the time it became a year since you shaved it in order to recover your hairline. And God restored for me too because I don't even snip away at my ends like that anymore😅thank you for sharing your loc journey with us💜
@@JanaiKirsten I think I last cut it in Jan or feb so it’s still pretty short rn. I considered cutting it again 😂 but I was like lemme stop cuz then I’ll have to wait even longer before I get the locs. Imma let it grow for the summer probably and then loc it when fall starts
Hello beautiful I am so in love with your art in the background I would love to purchase pieces like that I'd be so appreciative of the 411 on where you shopped for them? Nevermind I should have known better Sis is on top of everything like a boss thank you for the info in the description.
I’m glad you finally found something that works for your hair and that it’s growing and healthy now
