That was my first 1000 CC on the road with my dudes from Alberta and Texas. 10 oil rig drillers 5 Kawasaki 1000 LTD - some Honda CB 1100 Kas and Al, Coconut, and I Fonzy. 🎉 I remember. The Rd 350 LC from my scotish dude : incredibly fast.
I had this same bike in High school..lucky to be here now to be sure..😁

Absolutely STUNNING....you just slipped me back to the back lane at 17 when I mounted this exact bike and got to take it for a rip around main street and back...once and once only....it still haunts me!

All the 80s bikes had to have a kerker exhaust. I had a seca 750 with a kerker exhaust. Man they all sounded great then

With having had own a '79 ltd with the 1075 was a blast. Had it for 10 years and worked on it more than rode it and then I had kids lol. Miss that bike.

Had an '82 KZ1000 LTD...traded it in for an '05 ZRX1200R. What great motorcycles they were...it's cliche, but man, I still wish I had one (or both) of them!!
Oh Yea!!! The Baddest of the Bad. A 1000 KZ LTD with a Kerker. Doesn't get much better than this. I would buy it just to wax it and listen to that exhaust. Brings me back.

The Kerker 4-1 exhaust is so iconic. Had one on my 83 GPZ 750, couldn't sound better. Miss that bike.

That was one of better looking LTD's the 80 mph speedometer was the first thing most guys changed. I got a 78 model. The Goodyear Eagles GT were the original tires but man that bike still looks good 40 years later.
I ditched the speedometer on mine, the 80 MPH doesn't cut it,, Local shop even matched the mileage before installing.
Nice , if I ever find myself in America your shop will be my first stop

Beautiful bike. I love the exhaust note of the Kirker. Also love the paintjob and graphics, and how well they compliment one another.
I wish Kawasaki would make a bike like that today. A nice good looking inline four semi sport bike that's actually comfortable riding two up for touring.
I had this exact bike in 1980. For sale price? I'd give up my BMW K1600 B for this!!!
This is actually a '79 model year bike with slide carbs and the duck tail. The '80-'82 models have 34mm CV carbs and no duck tail amongst other detailed differences.
Im not into motorcycles but is this the same bike used in the American tv series chips ? Watched it as a kid in northern ireland during the late 1970,s early 80,s loved the series and the motorcycle!!
I had one just like it except mine came with Jardin headers. 4 into 2. Mine had a shake at 70 but you could power through and it would go away. Lots of fun. Sold it and never bought another.
I had that same bike. Mine was black. 4 in 1 kirker, head work and carburetor work. Ground level rocket
I bought the first 1000 ltd from Wilson's Kawasaki exactly same color from showroom I regret selling but had a lot of great times 😢
Indian Larry didn't wear a helmet..also ... a Jay Adams flyaway would match the bike, Era , etc

I , personally , was never a Fan of the LTD style bikes , from Anyone , but THAT THERE is a Really Clean Old Machine . Looks great and Sounds healthy .
