I buy Super Clean by the gallon at Wally World or Orielly's. You can mix it for whatever you are cleaning. A good mix for nasty mowers is 4:1. In a 32 Oz spray bottle that would be 25.6 oz of water to 6.4 oz of super clean. About 8:1 for a good multipurpose cleaner. 18:1 works well on car interiors safely.
Well I have to inject something here Nate. Believe it or not I use Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner. And I found that it is also good for truck motors. Another one I use is Simple Green cleaner. But I do warm up the engine before spraying it.
@@NaterTater You are right it isn't. But Scrubbing bubbles seems to dissolve the built up grease. I have also mixed Scrubbing bubbles with Dawn dish soap and it works fantastic because Dawn is a degreaser.
The only place to be careful of spraying water is the air intake which in this mower is the black plastic area on the top left of the engine. Then if your mower has electronics then you may need to be careful around them but generally mowers are designed to be atleast "rainproof". Can start up when wet.
@@NaterTater just wanted to give you an update. I bought some of that super clean. WOW!!!!!! That stuff is fantastic!!! My cub looks brand new. I really didn't even have to work to clean it. As soon as I sprayed it on the effected area the super clean immediately broke up the grime and cleaned the walk behind. Thanks for the great information. You just got a new subscriber.
You mean to tell me all this time?I could have just sprayed my lawn mower down with water.I never knew you could do this.I thought it would ruin the parts
In general, the wires themselves are ok to get wet. The area of more concern is the connections. Water can short out or cause corrosion on terminals. Most mowers are ok tl wash with a garden hose occasionally though.
You did a great job cleaning. It’s amazing you can get those parts wet and they won’t be ruined by water
I didn't think you could water near the engine like that.
Going to give Super Clean a try. Nice demo.

Yes sir Big fan of SC and CubCadet!💯💪🏾
Nice work! I will have to give that stuff a try!
It does work and I like that it is water based (environmentally friendly).
Watching videos like this, I’ve become obsessive about cleaning my mower and sno thrower.

Scrubbing bubbles! Interesting. Haven't used that but I have used Simple Green too and like it. It doesnt seem as strong as Super Clean though.

Hell yeah there you go Lieutenant dan ✌
any tips on removing rust from mowers or pressure washers?
Vinegar works decently. Apply, let it sit for a moment, and wipe clean. Repeat as necessary
How much did it sell for?
@Grrrnthumb I forget exactly. $600 or $800.
Getting the wet engine won't damage anything? How long should it sit before starting it back up?

Wow! Thanks for the light speed reply. ✨️

@@NaterTater can I hose my snowblower with that super clean, it's a craftsman 208cc 26 inch. ? It has an electric start. Thanks 😊
Those girly hands tire real quick 😆
very true. I realize some guys are more accustomed to having to perform a similar action by themselves often. 😆
@@NaterTater 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see what you did there 😂

Yes
No different than dishwash soap
So it doesn't harm electric wires to get wet?
