Sir Sw0rdlock Not entirely true, at least for all of their shows. For Fate stuff though it pretty much was. I was at a panel for the show a few years ago and someone asked about how they decided on the budget. The producers response was literally "Whatever Miura-san(the director) asked for".

They are good but I am not a huge fan. I find this OP to lacklustre. I enjoyed white light due to it being spirit like lifting with it's guitar rifts

My favorite part was 0:53-1:20, yea you do get that triumphant feeling and it resonates with me, the singer was absolutely fantastic and i've heard similar beautiful tones and orchestra's/singers from other anime to, well done guys! Truly majestic.

@@kerplop Dude, I don't blame you if you're a hard-core fan of semi-nude chicks from a prequel game with a title that sounds like a rip off from a badass manga. But Berseria wasn't brought in to promote Zestiria. It was the other way around.
So let me throw the question back. Why would a game company make an anime version of a "bad game" to promote a new game like Berseria? Makes no sense? Because it's Zestiria that did well.
PC Gamers even called it "one of the best Tales games" for its combat and dungeon designs and the gameplay. The equipment system people are complaining about? That's BS. Not a single guy who uploaded a walk/playthrough of this game even brought that up.
For the record, Zestiria was better reviewed than Berseria as a "game" by gaming critics outside youtube. Zestiria also ranked higher than Vesperia in the UK Charts for games, despite hype for Vesperia by Tales fanboys. It's also the ONLY Tales game to beat Nintendo on its first week of release in Japan, even where it is most hated there, compared with abroad where it did better than either Berseria or Vesperia DE.
You can check Berseria and Vesperia sales in GameData for Japan and Gamefaqs for worldwide sales. Vesperia had "multiple releases" but the DE only sold 69k in Japan.
Those are facts.
@@kerplop Also, if you want to find out if what I'm saying is true, check the timeline of games and the official ads for Zestiria. You can also check interviews of the Ufotable anime production team by Daisuke for Zestiria. They planned the anime before the game was finished, and by then, Berseria hasn't been released yet.

I don't care if people hated the game, Zestiria was the first Tales of game I played and it was great. (With a few hiccups here and there.)
It 100% deserves these views.
We're the same! It's the first Tales game and it was amazing. The "hiccups" weren't as bad as people say... most games I've played after actually sneeze. And don't mind the haters... those are just "gorilla" fanboys of other Tales games fighting over the "definitive Tales game" title. ^_^
That must mean you're still pretty new to the series, welcome! I started with Symphonia myself (some seven years after it came out...) and while it's still my favorite by a longshot, it's not the only Tales game I love. I knew I would enjoy Zestiria literal years before I got my hands on it and though the battle system was kicking my ass, I enjoy it more with every day I play. The character interactions alone are to die for, and I find the story really interesting. Also, that opening is FREAKING AWESOME. (Not this, though I love it bunches. I mean White Light.)
@@selenopheria Thanks ^_^. I hope all Tales fans get along and support all the future Tales games and B-Namco games out there. It's a pretty strong community... and it'll draw in more people if we speak of Tales games in a good way instead of what others do... Seriously I don't think there's a Tales game that's bad to begin with. We can just agree that our tastes are different, but at the end of the day it's still a Tales game that isn't afraid to be idealistic when violence and depressing story lines is the "in" thing these days.
And true, this opening song is "freaking awesome." It's very energetic and positive, that's why I like it! Thanks again! ^_^

Oh man, I already forgot this anime. I watched it a long time ago, I have a kid now and this is sad realizing how much just passed by and I don't have the time to watch anime anymore.
I just started the anime today i already finished zestiria and berseria games a few weeks ago).. so everytime i heard the soundtracks it's really made me chills.. and every time i saw velvet in opening (still hoping berseria get its own anime) i always screaming lol, it's a shame she's only appears in opening, i'm pretty sure that people who only watch the anime would confuse about who she was

Alright, I found this song a few months ago due to being a fan of the band that performs it.
I did research and found this anime, soon after, learned it was based on an RPG of the same name.
I'm here to announce that I have bought that game on Steam and plan on watching the anime alongside playing it.
I currently don't know when I'll start it, but I have a feeling I'm in for quite a ride.
I’m just gonna say, the anime and game have some pretty big differences (some for better and some for worse)! But both the game and anime are worth it! Tales of Zestiria will always be one of my favorite games! The characters, art, and story are all amazing! I hope you have lots of fun playing, and watching the anime! ^^

I looked at the comments, and I agree with everything here, but I think people are ignoring the beautiful backgrounds, acpetely in the high point of the song, in any generic shounen opening it would have been a glowing sun/sunset. but here, you can feel the battle in your heart because of the the dark clouds, and the bits of sun peeping from the clouds symbolizing the hope.
I remember FLOW playing this song live at Anime Expo. Such a good song!

jc9622 yeah, and dirt cheap compared to aniplex lol funimation prices also go down with time, aniplex's only go up with time. The price you see on day one is the cheapest you're gonna get it with aniplex.
That's why it makes me depressed the west is full of people that watch anime on illegal streaming sites and never buy anything. They say $30 is ridiculous for an entire series on blu ray when the japanese have to buy a single disk with as little as 2-3 episodes at a time or like $50-$60. I've actually witnessed a new generation of anime fans grow up watching their shows illegally and refusing to pay for anything because they can get it for free. I wouldn't care as much if it was a couple people here and there, but they have the audacity to spread it around even to new fans who don't know better and they turn into the same kind of people.
For funimation I wouldn't call $30 for a series rare, I see it a lot. When they first come out they may be like $60 for a limited edition 12 episode series, but if you wait 4-6 months it'll drop to the 30's. Sentai's prices tend to stay the same though, a series that comes out for $60 will be a bare bones set and after 4-6 months will usually only drop to $50. Although I can't say I agree with illegal streaming because of its impact on the industry (though some shows don't get licensed and some countries have no legal sources, so not all illegal streaming is bad, just most) I can't really blame someone for illegally streaming an aniplex or ponycanyon title because of their price, but most of their stuff can be seen on crunchyroll. The people who stream stuff illegally I can't stand are the ones that say buying stuff is stupid just watch it for free, the industry is rich enough, then they proceed to get new fans into anime through their means so on and so forth. Unfortunately, physical media is dying in favor of digital and the only people who buy stuff anymore are collectors.
liquidmetal This is why I don't like it when an anime is licensed by Aniplex. I just went to Aniplex's website to check out their recently released "Charlotte" anime and the price is $75 for 7 episodes. So that's a total of $150 for 13 episodes (*__*).
On the other hand, I bought Railgun S (Licensed by Funi) on Blu Ray a year ago for $60 which contained 24 episodes.
*sigh* Aniplex's price gouging at its finest..
