I know someone who mains Newcastle and is really good at the game. I feel like Newcastles tactical is stronger, while Gibraltar’s ultimate is more powerful. I’d give Newcastle the edge though, since his passive is one of the greatest there is.

I'd say the different between New castle and Gibby is their roles within a teaam. New Castle cannot be a 2nd Fragger compared to Gibby, well not as effectively. Gibby can create space at a moments notice and dissuaded a push on his position or force others off a position. This makes him a perfect balance between 2nd fragger and support. New castle is definitely more Support oriented than Gibby but he has much different merits. The mobility of his Ult is INSANE for catching up with movement teammates. In addition, his eletric wall cannot be slept on since it will win you a fight making him very dangerous CQC Ultimately for me it comes down to their Rez abilities (lifeline mains crying). Gibby has a Faster Rez while new castle has a mobile Rez but heavily relies on your knockdown. A gibby bubble can be aped while a New castle Rez shield can be focused fired and is only tanky at times against 1 person. They're both Yin and Yang as defensive support legends and honestly it comes down to if you are more of an Opportunist or you are straight up Support. Both Definitely S tier tho

Newcastle's revive is the main reason why I put him over Gibby. Combine it with his tactical and ultimate and he's like the best defensive/supportive legend. And especially with a Gold Knockdown. I'd ult to my teammates and just rez them right infront of the enemies face and still win the fight. It's just so strong and for that I think he's superior to Gibby by a good margin.
I feel like the comparison between Gibby and Newcastle is like Seer and Bloodhound. One legend is better than the other at their specific role but the other is better on their own (like lets say when you solo q or 2 of your teammates died).

Gibby’s passive can be great to level up evo armors but that’s specially good in competitive when your punished harder for peeking but still it’s a way to support the team with his passive it’s not completely all for himself

As gibby bubble fighting works if your cracked or they suck but jumping on people with new castles ult stuns them plus they are stunned irl so you can get that first kill without a doubt and dance around the other two clean up with your team but gibby got that extra shield so if it wasn’t for that then gibby wouldn’t even be a choice

Newcastle all day man, big fella has the ability to move create space push fights and hes the revive God. Another good tip is using the revive sheild to make the enemy waste their clip drop the res then slap them with a pk shot lol
Everyone gotta realise, newcastle is alot better, 20 sec shield with only 15 cd, ult that makes litteraly big walls that saves you from other bullets, that saving passive, and -15% dmg from bullets is just op, But gibraltar is still op too, like litteraly just +50shield every 9 seconds that u cant skip, and that bomb ult with ability is really cool for support, but, cooldowns are sad.
Newcastle is way more fun but Gibraltar will always be “better” as long as his shield is invincible and he has +50 shields as a passive. As that is just straight cheating; not a “cool and fun ability.”

Gibby is a full defense and area control legend, while Newcastle is more of a support legend, keeping them covered till they heal to fight again
