I'd pay a fortune for of all permutations of the Disneyland/World of Color anthology series from the 50s & 60s. The metal box Vault series was a good start.
Twilight Time put out many 20th Century Fox titles before Disney came into the picture. So many epic pictures in Tehnicolor. The most sought after Columbia Classics 4k boxset is Volume 1 and expensive. The biggest titles on that boxset are Lawrence of Arabia and Ghandi. 20th Century Fox generated movies like this on a grand scale. Imagine boxsets with 20th Century Fox titles! Titles that would blow Columbia Classics out of the water.
I would expect that they will definitely be getting some. Sony has been doing pretty well with their classic 4K releases and Disneylikes money so this makes sense.
@@may2december29 Yeah some people just automatically assumed it would only be new stuff like Disney was allergic to making money. I think Sony's history with releasing some serious classic cinema and the success of those sets should speak ofr themselves. Good to ehar theer are already some titles being rumored.
@@kencarlson3545 I think they purposefully kept things more vague right now but I would definitely not be surprised to see a Fox Classics set join the ranks of the Columbia Classics and Sony classics line.
It's funny I had that Pinocchio VHS. Bought it new in 1985. I absolutely hated those Disney clamshells, which were so awkward on a shelf and just ugly in general. Didn't have many, but I think I had Tron and Alice in Wonderland on tape. On DVD I know I have Snow White, Beauty and the Beast and quite a few of the Touchstone films if we are counting those. I also bought a bunch of those shorts collections in tins like the WWII shorts and history of the Magic Kingdom. Think Zellers is where I found those back in the day. Blu-ray I bought Pinocchio and Tron again and I have Sleeping Beauty, and one of the Pirates of the Carribean :(On Stranger Tides which I bought for Penelope Cruz and still haven't watched. LOL) Wasn't hard to sum up my entire Disney collection in one post, but I figured you might appreciate it. LOL. You must have made a collection of your full Disney exclusives which would be cool to check out now.
I was enamoured with those cumbersome clamshells as a kid especially those gold box releases that included the classic Disney shorts. I only had the movie club exclusives i ended up showing but ironically I’ve been working on a complete Disney collection video for next month. Who wouldn’t buy a movie fir Penelope Cruz lol The war propaganda shorts were so interesting to watch. I’d love to see Sony do a modern iteration of those Disney Collector Tins

well in Australia New Zealand The mouse has abandoned physical releases all together so I wouldn't hold your breath about physical releases
Looking forward to more Star Wars steelbooks, limited editions, I'll buy anything Star Wars, I love all the Star Wars movies.
It would be great to see the original version of Star Wars get a good release
Unless we're getting the Fox catalog and some Touchstone Pictures on 4K ... I can't get too excited.

@@CultofCinema I hope so. Just that article didn't mention anything about licensing new titles.. just distributing.
I read earlier that there releasing some Fox titles around August

I've been raiding their site since this broke. They discounted all the exclusives to $10. Going to buy as much as I can since I have a 60% discount.
