True, however there comes a problem when your family becomes upset that you don't seem to have that "familial" bond. All kinds of blame star getting tossed your way, even get told how you have lost your way. Either to a lack of religion or the ever flirtatious gurus and whatever satanic counter culture is perceived at the time of the era.
Relationships do feel more free and lighter - a good indicator is if spending time with someone feels like a job or not. Relationships feel more deeper when you relate to people as "people you hang out with" rather than "people you are related to" does that make any sense?? For example, I'm more comfortable speaking with a stranger than my blood family or acquaintances.
As for romance it becomes more elusive, at first it feels bad; like something be wrong with you because society tells us this all the time. Later, it becomes just something. Its not bad or good just something in life.
The human perception of love is very possessive and hmm linear?? A master's perception of love is like the sun or the wind. Its there all the time, for everyone, for many people at once, for only one or no one, but it is always there. The sun or the wind is not possessive or picks favorites its just is, radiates/blows. Its just joyful of being. Ultimately, it is what oath you give of yourself that you uphold. If you give your oath to love 2-3 people then be faithful to those. If you make an oath to love one then love the one. Its not about morality, good or evil, its just about you. Your choice, and the truth you choose to experience.
How to say this?? Well, at the end of the day all we have left is the worth of our own word(as the expression goes) a deep part in our being. That part that choose our Yes to be Yes and our No to be No. [ I know people will argue faithfulness, the moment the topic of romantic relationships gets brought up]
Technically, one can betray one's own words but it is a very unpleasant sensation and most conscious beings prefer to mean what they say and say what they mean. In essence relationships are covenants and yet these covenants are meant to be more free and flexible than whatever limitations humans place on them.
