It wasn’t for Christmas, but my MIL paid for a Hello Fresh subscription for our first year of marriage which was so sweet and an amazing gift as we were learning how to cook for 2 and figuring out what kinds of meals we wanted to have in our dinner rotation! Totally agree with wanting experiences over physical gifts the older I get as well!
For my kiddos, it has worked well for grandparents to give them a few small items to open for birthdays/holidays. If the grandparents have money left in their gift giving budget, they deposit it into our kids’ college savings account. The account is set up to allow gift donations, and we get a little card saying that a donation was made. It’s a nice way to balance the kids getting something fun with not too much clutter with grandparents feeling like they want to do more.
For all the new moms/ mom-to-bes, my niece’s mom was gifted a first year diaper subscription that provided her with diapers for the first 12 months in the size of her growing baby! Such a great gift for new moms to have one less thing to stress about! 🙌🏼
Lots of great ideas on this list! My sister and I have been giving my mom the gift of an experience (usually theatre tickets, sometimes a manicure day for the 3 of us) for several years now because she always says she'd rather have an experience instead of stuff. And yes, we have Costco here in Canada 🙂
These are some fantastic ideas! Thank you! We are almost done with our Christmas shopping, but I still hadn’t figured out what to give my best friend, and now I think I know. One thing that we do a lot of is making crafts for people. My wife is super crafty, our favorite right now is to make candles for people.
I love this! I have several new moms in my friend group and i definitely am going to offer more time to them instead of waiting for them to ask. Thank you ❤
Something I love doing with kids in my family is “Something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read”. This ensures they get a fun thing they want but they also don’t get a bunch of junk they can’t use. I am the queen of overbuying because that’s what my Christmas looked like as a kid. Trying to unlearn that habit!
I love this! I have my own kids now and I want to buy them everything that reminds me of them. But money can be tight. I love the holidays so much I love gifting things to others and making them happy. I wish I could go everyone
Last year our daughter got my husband and I some type of cupcake subscription. Every month for like 3 months we got a box with 4 little mason jars with lids with different flavors of cakes with icing/cupcake. We loved it 😃🧁
OH MY GODS, Sammy Rae and the Friends is also my favorite band!! I got to see them here in Portland and I cried so much when they played David and I Get It Now, and I went to that show alone. Absolute best gift I've ever given myself, that night changed my life 🧡
Totally agree with the membership idea! My sisters have gotten us our zoo pass the past two Christmases. Such a great outing for a toddler. It was great I never would have gone to the zoo from January-April in Iowa without having the pass but I swear the animals are more active in the winter and it’s far less crowded
Costcos is worldwide 😊 Locations are in: Australia ,Canada, China, France, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States
You look Great! I aim for consumable gifts. Jams, cookies, flowers, things that will be enjoyed, but used up and then can be given again the next year-if the person loved it!
Getting my nephews annual passes to Legoland- I’ll be able to take them when I’m in town and spend time with them there. My sister has 2 adults, a toddler, a baby and a dog in a 2br apartment… literally no space for stuff. And I hate imagining that the toys I would get them are going to just end up in the thrift store or landfill in 18mo.
I bought an $8 thing of air dry clay from walmart and some string, and I'm gonna paint handmade ornaments, using cookie cutters to shape them. The airdry clay at Walmart made me 30 ornaments :)
I’m getting my mom a house cleaning service this year… maybe a couple of cleanings and it’s a win win for everyone

This is so fun, I know lots of people in my life who will appreciate gifts like this so thank you for the ideas!!
Ugh you’re the hot cool girl who’s also smart and kind and just how dare you
Stoooooop 🫣🥰🫶🏼
First, I love this idea. Second, my mom gets her grandkids membership for disney plus. They use it nearly everyday but it doesn't take up space.
So smart!
I've missed your videos. You look really good in this one. I mean you always look good, but you look really happy.
Aw you’re so sweet, thank you! I’m happy to be back!
Beethoven at the end is killing me 😂 he needs his moment!!! ❤

That is a genius idea!!
Love getting fancy olive oil/ jam/ salt/ alcohol for someone who wouldn’t normally splurge on the nice stuff. Easy and enjoyable
When you said ‘it’s maybe a bit early’ - mine are done and wrapped since like a week now. But I’m still here for this video haha
Love the realness to suggest a Costco or AAA membership, those are good ideas!
I am glad you are back.
book of the month subscription is a great one too!!

Quickly consumable things are great. I would also say things like candles or scentsy products are great. I use them a lot.

@ yes! I don’t have my own kids yet (hopefully one day!) but I have lots of younger cousins that I wish I could buy the world for
For my birthday every year my parents renew a family zoo pass for us. 😂 it’s a great easy yearly gift. Highly recommend for any new parents.
That sounds fun!

Such a great idea! I’ve been seeing more of these anti-hauls and experiential gift guides and I’m so here for it! 💜
YES! I am so much more inclined to give experiences than something material. 10/10

Chewy gift cards for friends with pets! They almost always offer 2-day shipping and they can get something cute for their pet with their necessities!

A good gift for kids is a membership to an indoor play cafe
Go grocery shopping for someone!
Love this!
I give my FIL a Spotify gift card every year because he's on the road all the time.
As a therapist, maybe I should offer free therapy to people for Christmas lmaooo (just kidding of course)
lol if only!
When my kids were small, I would do a massive clean out before every holiday because otherwise we would get inundated with alllll the kid crap.
I need to do that 🫣
