Well Mew and Ash became friends. Later something happens to Ash causing him to be considered “dead” and Mew decides to make Ash’s dreams of becoming a Pokémon master still come true by taking on his appearance. So basically the Ash we know is Mew here while the real Ash is still a mystery.
