Thanks Pastor Skip for another great teaching. Your remarks about verse 14:30 and God sometimes setting our "fields on fire" to get our attention, reminded me of one of C.S. Lewis's quotes: "God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain." One of the great sins we can commit is just being indifferent towards God and be preoccupied with worldly things. Forgetting that every heartbeat and every breath of life comes from God. He holds the life and soul of every living thing in His hand. Job 12:10. God bless.
I want to say thank you so very much for posting these teachings!! They have been so informative and such a blessing to me! I have been led lately to study the Old Testament, not just read through it I really want to understand it. I am 55 and been a Christian my entire life but don't remember a time when I sat and read through the entire Old Testament, just passages here and there and hearing stories and knowing the main characters. The Holy Spirit is leading me and teaching me so much more through His Word and using your knowledge and wisdom to illuminate and educate me even more. May you be truly blessed in all you do!!! 🙏🙏🙏
