I always liked seeing Michael reunite with his family. Things aren’t completely fixed, but they’re on the way to getting where they need to patch things up properly.
We all know that Michael isn't happy with his life in LS because it's miserable and empty, but I always thought there was an extra layer to it. Maybe his misery is also caused by guilt from betraying his old friends for his current life. Think about it, in order for him and his family to live a comfortable life, he backstabbed his old crew, but his family STILL complain and nag and his life is the definition of 'money doesn't buy you happiness'. He may often deep down wonder to himself: 'Was it worth betraying my friends for this rich, empty life where our family is still miserable and whiny?' He thought everything would be over and things would get better, but he's still unhappy (in fact, things are crazier than ever in 2013 for him) and you see that suppressed rage and guilt come out during the therapy session
I believe that’s basically what u said…unlike the gta antagonists that betray the protagonists, mike (a protagonist, himself) really does feel guilt about his betrayals that it basically made his life in ls miserable out of his own self-punishment 2 himself & nearly damaging his relationship with his already pampered family. It was when he met franklin & took him under his wing that he reluctantly confronts the repercussions of his past decisions & try 2 mend broken fences when he has 2.

But you’re right. Niko felt bad about betraying people. Johnny learned the consequences of crossing the wrong people. CJ showed remorse for betraying Toreno, but Tommy and Claude are probably the coldest killers in the GTA series.

The explosions that happen around Michael's house are glitched paths from the planes that fly above you. The game somehow makes them spawn at the wrong height. Causing them to lose control and crash into a building.
Trevor has got the most hilarious and insane switch scenes in the entire game. Like the one where he's chasing and screaming at cyclists, waking up on a mountain in a dress, throwing a biker of a bridge, or getting kicked out of a casino. If you try to do a try not to laugh challenge watching a compilation of all his switch scenes it'll be impossible because you'll be on your butt laughing in minutes. 🤣

The explosion that you heard and wondered what it is, is the result of airplanes being spawned into the simulation cell that surrounds Michael's house. The whole area is build on a slope (like the vinewood hills that begin a bit behind Michael's house) and when airplanes are spawned into the cell too closely to the ground, the pilot tries to avoid the hills, but not always succeeds and crashes into those hills. I saw this once, when I got out of Michael's house, an airbus (or whatever type it might be) plane crashed behind his house, several cars were totaled too and people died. I only saw that one time. Another time there was an airbus flying really close along the vinewood hills slope up in the air. He almost didn't make it and grazed several rooftops, but then he pulled up steeply and resumed his normal flightpath. All that happened on the PC version of the game; I also have an "oddities" video on my channel in which you can see an airbus making crazy circles that try to stay "close" to the player's simulation cell, but also keeps its distance from him. It's a bug in the pilot's AI that was never resolved. The same bug, that propells the AI to stay close to the player's simulation cell in the beginning, lets the planes crash near him too. The explosion that you heard and wondered what it is, is the result of airplanes being spawned into the simulation cell that surrounds Michael's house. The whole area is build on a slope (like the vinewood hills that begin a bit behind Michael's house) and when airplanes are spawned into the cell too closely to the ground, the pilot tries to avoid the hills, but not always succeeds and crashes into those hills. I saw this once, when I got out of Michael's house, an airbus (or whatever type it might be) plane crashed behind his house, several cars were totaled too and people died. I only saw that one time. Another time there was an airbus flying really close along the vinewood hills slope up in the air. He almost didn't make it and grazed several rooftops, but then he pulled up steeply and resumed his normal flightpath. All that happened on the PC version of the game; I also have an "oddities" video on my channel in which you can see an airbus making crazy circles that try to stay "close" to the player's simulation cell, but also keeps its distance from him. It's a bug in the pilot's AI that was never resolved. The same bug, that propells the AI to stay close to the player's simulation cell in the beginning, lets the planes crash near him too.
