    All fine and great, but also gotta get that bag if you're 10x'ing it. Nothing is more demoralizing than working hard and getting that 3% percent raise at the end of the year.

    From my 16 years of experience (and this is on top of all the great points you guys added), one of the most underlooked things that makes a 10x engineer is having stayed at a company for more than 3 years. The value you are able to deliver grows exponentially over time since you have built a mental model of the code base, the industry, the company, it's products, and built trust/relationships with people across teams/departements (and hopefully with customers too). Jumping ship every 2-3 years, though great for your own personal growth, makes it really hard to deeply contribute to a company.

      Agreed just hit my 3 year mark and it's literally a step change in my ability to execute and ship

    This highly dependent on company culture. In large organizations, building consensus around good ideas is critical. Being overly proactive can lead to major misalignment.

    Being self motivated is fun, but working for a large software company pays the bills. I would say become financially independent then pursue your own path.

    Hello, Sir. I have a query for you. I have been working as a Web Developer for the last 1.5 years. But I have no degree, I have learned skills from online courses and tutorials.
    My dream is to apply to the top Tech Company. Will university degrees be required for it? Should I have to enroll in Computer Science?

    Like hearing things from Startup CTO's more than Big Tech employees.
    Startup CTO's actually are amazing software engineers that I would aspire to become. Big Tech employees they are more focused on being professional and trying to optimize 1 button.

    How to become 10x engineer to Ceo ? Answer: Money

    • @RahulPandeyrkp
      @RahulPandeyrkp  23 дня назад +1

      I don't understand. Money doesn't help a startup find product-market fit. In fact, it could be detrimental. So having money doesn't make you a good candidate for a CEO/founder role.

      @RahulPandeyrkp I think he meant that in order to be considered a 10x engineer by CEO, just make sure your work directly or indirectly generates revenue and that the CEO is aware of it.
