His new stuff may not be as commercially successful, but technically and skillfully is WAY better His metaphors alone are legendary. But the rhyme schemes, the infinite number of pockets he's able to find, the range and diversity he's shown of late, his double, triple, and probably quadruple entendre plus his knowledge and unconditional love of the craft is what makes him truly great. He and Biggie are probably as close as we'll get to the perfect Emcee
Yoke the Joker is one of my all time favorite tracks. I probably wore out and bought at least 8 copies of that cassette specifically for that track. Kids today will never know the struggle we had with cassette tapes back in the day. Not only the tapes but the players to. Crazy how much the way we consume music has changed since then. 2 favourite interviews I've seen with Em is Crook corner and mike tyson podcast. He's himself and looks more comfortable talking to you both. Think that's a reason why he is so difficult for others to get his time. Crazy how humble he is despite everything he's achieved. So laid back in this. Legend 🙌
