Mitsuru is a responsible and thoughtful person, managing the legacy of her father, SEES and her duties as Student Council President. I don't know what you're talking about.
Persona 3 has one of the best casts of characters in all of video games, there's hardly a character that doesn't feel unique and interesting and I can't help but love every character(Except the Moon social link)
I would have to disagree. I feel like there are one too many characters with the story of "I am this way because my family is XYZ". In particular, I felt Hayase was a redundant confidant. Miya was already your Track Club/Romantic Rival

Something that’s missing is that not many men today have drive, willpower, great masculine role models and friends or even a very traditionally masculine father figure in their life to exceed in their footsteps unfortunately. Hell, I encourage to find a good friend to rival with. Watch your life change. Shît you might even start a business together.
Rival is usually besties in these.. I mean that is literally many japanese story trope.. Naruto sasuke, ichigo uryu, zoro sanji, goku vegeta, and so on.. Same goes for Junpei, Yosuke and Ryuji.. But I somehow dislike Junpei, I just feel like he is too annoying and goes to much with his ego.. At least for half of the story against the MC..
Junpei definitely a frenemy early on. Dude throws so much shade at Makoto during SEES activities until he meets Chidori but he's such a lovable dork outside of them that we can forgive his jackassedness. And then spoilers happen and he's just a lovable jackass that I'd want to have a beer with.

I think its crazy how people say that they hate Yukari but like P5 Makoto. When Yukari gets the Makoto treatment. She is more important and gets more scenes than all the other girls, just like P5 Makoto.
Yukari fans have like suddenly arisen from the gutters of society in the past few years when people mostly used to shit on her from what I remember and I don't really get it but I don't mind either because while she's my least favorite in P3 she is still relatively likeable. Her social link is extremely whatever but she's pretty funny in the main story and her backstory is okay.
I have to disagree with junpei, I think Yosuke is the better best friend character because he shows genuine care for Yu and the two of them trust each other so much that if one is being rude or untrustworthy they instantly know that something is not right.
Junpei is arguably the best persona bro who is down bad, cause he actually pulls a girl. Ryuji is a close 2nd because being down bad isnt his personality.
Makoto... is not.... supposed... to be as likable... as Joker. He is the best at being a tasteful take on the entire trope of silent protagonists. Bc he embodies that silence and "bland" passivity. Until he doesn't, but that's beside the point.

Fuuka grew a lot in me at episode aigis/the answer and Ken has a really impactful story and is one of the protagonists of the turning point of the game, things get so much deeper after he's on (but then his story line is done and he disappears), but mitsuru for me is so under used

i think a lot of people dislike fuuka and ken for no real reason, ive always liked them. In general though, id put the entirety of the persona 3 main cast in A tier as a whole, with the only S tiers for me being aigis, Koromaru and junpei.
Man, the development of Makoto as a character is in the movie, where he shows how he deals with the problems of the game, for me the Makoto of the movies is S tier.
