LOCATION: Ute Dr & Clairemont Dr
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:
The male truck driver was driving eastbound on Clairemont behind the female Toyota driver. He saw her driving erratically and hitting traffic cones in a construction area on Claremont Dr. When they both stopped at an intersection, he got her attention and asked her if she was alright. He then continued on with her behind him.
He saw her speed up and slam into the rear of his truck. She pushed his truck for over 100 yards. He finally was able to move away from her at Ute Dr. She then slammed into a parked Junk Hauler truck. She did not suffer any injuries.
She smelled heavily of alcohol, and there was a container in her vehicle with alcohol inside of it. She told officers that she was coming from Tijuana to her home in City Heights and missed her exit. She was far from City Heights. She was arrested for DUI.
Construction zone eh. Double the fine for that drunk driver.
I could see missing your exit if you're in City Heights but drive all the way to Clairemont? She had to be pretty wasted.
Ayee that's Kyle superintendent from swinerton construction I painted a huge building for him in LA Jolla cool dude
Good to know we still have cool dudes in this world.
Dang, just when you think it can't get any stranger out on the roads!
Alcohol isn’t the answer to your problems, quite the opposite, especially if you can’t drink responsibly. When are people going stop doing this BS?
Not todays people. Not humans today. Not when there is this much freedom. More freedom then there has ever been. Not when borders are wide open. Not when you get a little slap on the wrist for DUI or even just being in possession of drugs. The human race is made up of a vast and diverse array of quirks and idiosyncrasies. A genetic cesspool stuck in time. Not when alcohol can be bought in every every market and store in California. Not when dangerous drugs can be bought and traded along every sidewalk. In every alley. Under every bridge down by the river. There are 90... yes 90 different types of liquor/alcohol licenses in California. California is making millions maybe billions from the sale of liquor licenses every year. On top of that there are sales taxes. You think California is going to risk that money income?
OMG RUclips on a delete frenzy .
Awesome interview Doug!👍
Much appreciated!
First of all, I'm happy to hear and see Mr. Smith is ok. I was hit from behind by a drunk driver years ago. He was an illegal alien from Honduras. Luckily, I walked away with just a bump on my head and a totaled car. It almost sounds like that drunk driver went after Mr. Smith for trying to stop her from driving intoxicated if that was the cause of her accident and not a medical condition.
She sure went ratched on him didn't she... Like a rabid racoon. That mentality is absolutely shocking. Well.... I know of a quick and sure way to fix that.
I'm surprised that CBP can't detect people who are wasted like that cross the border in a car so easily but they usually crash sooner. Not so happy Mexican Mother's Day for her.
CBP agents are not allowed to judge people anymore. They are only there to hand out gift cards and drive people where they want to go.
I don't blame her one bit. There are too many "Junk Hauler" trucks parked on Clairemont Drive!
Signed,
Trash Trucks
😂😂😂 those Junk Hauler trucks are parked everywhere around SD. Specifically in the worst places possible creating blind spots & corners especially when they park at the corners of intersections 😒🙄🤦🏾♀️
Our problem now.
The message “Don’t drink (alcohol) & drive” never comes upon most people’s mind. DUI will never stop. Law enforcement should put up daily DUI check points unless they want to see more dead bodies and or destroyed vehicles.
Alot of people getting wasted in Tj and crashing on our streets.
Alot more people getting wasted in the U.S. and crashing on our streets too. What's your point?
The drunk driver that wiped out a family on St. Patrick's Day in '96 was coming from TJ.
Not really. Those people never go to TJ. They are bought into the concept of how dangerous TJ is.
Anybody else get a WhiteClaw commercial before the video?
I didn't see one
They should park these truck all around town. This happened last year same clean up truck had caught another DUI driver
they do in clairemont they had all the trucks windows broken is kinda eyesore just paint them all black
Glad he seems to be ok, I hope he is. This reminds me of another recent accident where the lady ran into a stopped car and they had to extricate the other driver, I think it was in PB. That one scared me! (It was around Mission Bay.)
The Waiters in TJ, were probable pouring Tequila Shots down her throat.
In this case the bad driver was just one Ute.
I like this Smith character.
Doing, isn’t the second time that “so called Hauling co.” been hit.
Wow no words
Well, at least the thing had current tags.
"dOnT yOu ThINk DrIvInG dRuNk Is A sLaP iN tHe FaCe Of LaW-aBiDiNg CiTiZeNs?"
Lol c'mon man, this is what I'm saying. Bigger issues than tags. You're a weirdo
