All information in this 33 min video can be described in 3 sec: "You can make billions by crafting capitals. Use excel. Remember to check component profit." Anyway thanks for your effort. Now use your knowledge to make some money IRL so you can buy new monitor.
I mined for 6 years in this game. It is not the way to make the best isk unless you have multiple accounts. The one thing that sets mining apart from most other high isk making activities is that it is always readily available.
Its the base level, dont know what to do but i get money task, If you want to make money dont mine or put any skills into it. instead learn how to scan, and do anomalies and be prepared to take a risk. Like goto 0.0 risk knowing you cqan scan yourself out of it using wormholes and make so much more money and have so much more fun while doing it.
My problem is, using isk-per-hour program and various other metrics, almost anything T-1 related and a lot of T-2 stuff is all unprofitable. Maybe if I eliminated the taxes. I think I'd have to have a POS for that? And that adds in new costs. And this isn't counting other time-sinks like transportation. What exactly am I doing wrong? I've been playing eve for a long time but just now considering manufacturing, but it's difficult to compete with the guys who have top skills and infrastructure already set up to maximize profits. Do you rely on selling stuff in undersupplied systems? (ie not jita)
Well if there's a lot of demand for something, and it's undersupplied then it's a good profit. (Machariel battles ships are lowering in supply because of the war, might be an opportunity!)
+Wisecracka I'd definitely avoid Jita when starting out with manufacturing. Since you are a long time player, you should know some stuff that is always in demand, be it T1 or T2, and that stuff usually has margins big enough to consider. Do your research and you can find stuff worth producing. Don't trust the estimated prices in the industry window too much either, even a cheap Google/excel sheet that can calculate prices with you inputting Mineral amounts and Mineral prices can help loads in seeing what is worth your time.
Yeah... because Star Wars is stupid as fuck. The designs are sometimes just plain retarded. Like... as soon as the shields are down the star cruiser's cockpit can easily be SHOT OFF the ship... Good luck winning the fight without a fucking cockpit to receive commands... Btw, I still like star wars... but the desings are just... not realistic I'd say. At least some of them.
+wewed gefer When inflation occurs, I believe you are right, holding assets rather than cash is better. However this does not change the fact that at this or any other moment in time, isk has a certain value, and trillions are more than billions, and that this player is indeed not rich relative to the current economy and wealth of other players. So Ragnar said nothing innaccurate.
bar lupo He claimed he was one of the richest players in the game. This is rich for a new player or a pvp focused player who doesn't spend much time earning isk. This is not rich for a purely pve player. He can barely afford a super. Rich players are players who can buy a Titan from their own cash reserves or alternatively afford to have more than one super. The richest players earn 100 billion a month or more from their various isk earning activities. So no, he is not rich. He's wealthy or well off.
Your thoughts and plans for new citadel construction? I'm trying to stay liquid to see how I can profit. ~5b only though. Anyways, I just found your content and look forward to more. I see you as a content provider for the more advanced indy guys out there looking for new points of view.
Do you still play the game or observe the markets? Never could quite understand how people we're able to make money by manufacturing, considering how competitive and saturated the market is nowadays. Though I do wonder how the new Alpha Clone program coming in November will effect this.
Ha, how i made my first billion. After a week of playing the free trial, i took a jump into a wormhole to explore. I found a blueprint that was worth a billion, sold it the same day. Sometimes you just get lucky. Oh and few weeks later i ran into a fleet in null sec. I stupidly approached to chat, and observe the massive fleet. Some one ganked me, but apparently their leader saw my messages and somehow convinced his fleet to pepper me with gifts and bounties. I netted nearly 400 million, and got a bounty nearly 500 million. Hella funny. Good times.
You can make 1 bil a month by extracting skill points from an alt. Multiply by whatever number of alts you have the up-front PLEX to afford. Get 5 mil SP with Cybernetics V included (I like to get PI and T2 production/research skills), then respec and put max points in Int and the rest in Mem. Get +5 Int and Mem implants (if you get +4s you are a scrub) and train Astrometric Rangefinding. Put up buy orders for Skill Extractors (4 in total), extract your SP from Rangefinding every time you have 500k in it, and put up Sell Orders for the injectors. Buy a PLEX and use it on the alt to pay for his next month and keep the rest :)
-there are no moon sized asteroids -neither login nor subsciption numbers where anywhere near the level they are today. So no there whe not more people playing in beta and it was not more crowded.
As a Beta tester myself, I can remember the days when CCP and EVE players were super stoked when there were 10,000 players logged in at the same time... It was back in... 2008(?) when they first broke 30,000 logged in.
I like the games that play like spreadsheets that need even more spreadsheets that you need to make outside the game... NOT. So much stuff devs are adding, but EO as looked boring in 2004 as it still does... Scale increases, ships grow into titans, stations grow into citadels, sectors grow into warmholes... but the game still looks like spreadsheet and will bore you after 3 hours of playing. Why am I so sleepy... OH, it's because I playing EO... Don't need sleep aid, just play EO for couple of hours and you'll be ready to hit the sack. /troll
So in pyfa a Rokh with miner II's 4 upgrade II's (max you can get within cpu) you get 17.6 m3/s. A Covetor with strip miner I's and 2 upgrades II's gets 20.9 m3/s. So no the Rokh is not better. If you don't have mining barge skill then yes but even at lvl 2 mining barge skill the Covetor still wins over Rokh. A better choice is a Retriever all skills at lvl5 16.9 m3/s and 27500 ore hold. More with modulated strip miner II's. Once you can fly a Mackinaw you can get 21.9 m3/s with 35000 ore hold. This is all with out fleet bonus. If your only choice is a Venture then a Rokh would be better but you need a hauler alt. to help the Rokh. Training mining barge to 1 gives you 15.5 m3/s on that same Retriever no hauler alt. required. If you are not serious about mining by training for a barge then there is no point in mining.
+Kuba Gasiorowski Mining for isk is for noobs. The isk comes after you build something with it. But if you don't like mining you can always find something else to do. I don't mine anymore but when I did it was because I was doing something else like watching a movie or surfing the net. It's good isk/hr if you can't do anything else that requires more attention.
At this point in time I rather prefer compressing ores, more effective in price to weight since 25000 m/cubed in an occator (nearly half its max fleet cargo capacity) is around a few hundred mil. Take ice for example, one block can be compressed down to 100 m/cubed opposed to the base 1000 m/cubed. This mainly comes from the fact that I would rather live in high-sec with 99% less chance of being blown up, than in null or wh space. I've lived and died in null, and it wasn't npc null either. Mind you, this was a one month period, no use going back to my original place, war is about to move there too.
So basically, for the spreadsheet, it's just an understanding of Excel? Makes sense why you would want to get paid for all that work though, excel gets real tedious after a while.
Mining / Missioning he says. I'm making nearly three plex a month from war profiteering in Pure Blind and Fade :) Also ratting while I'm waiting for people to change their sell price so I can undercut them :) Basically just being a Space Jew.
i do like the video and rigs and frigs destroyers and cruisers certain ones always sell well, not at a trade hub take close to low sec near a main exit from high sec to low sec and you can get 10% to15% more, your prices are off, and orig bps are allot cheaper than you think look at frig bps orig, real cheap
I'm probably the worst eve player ever. 2 years and i have under 400mil in the bank. . combined assets about 5bil tho. i don't have a great deal of played time though lol. most of my time i solo mission run with a kronos
Watched 4 minutes into a guy just staggering obvious stuff while mining in a Rokh, thinking he is rich with just 25-ish Billion ISK. Then I refused to waste my time anymore... I guess that sums this video up quite well.
You can get a plex in a day if you try hard enough, just not something that happends instantly. you have to have been playing for a few months. also this guy in the video is a fucking idiot lol.
Well i was playing EVE for like 2 months or 3 dunno, i have Skiff. I was only mining, i also try Incrusions. I mean i didnt try i was hoping i will start doing incrusions when i get enought skills learned. And how can u get plex in one day srlsy ? :D Never heard that before :D
Sp3NgL3R Well look i make an average of 1 bil every 2 to 3 days or so, and to do that takes me about 2 hours a day of exploration (null sec) but there's many ways of making a good amount of isk. you've probably only been in high sec?
i was also in low sec and got killed :D i also try trought wormhole and scan for relic sites and also got killed :D But how dafuq to make that amount of isk in 2-3 days WTF ???
I have 2.3 trillion isk .-. you should have mm when the amarr and minmitar rp alliances where around you could get 1 trill in 2-3 months if you sold battleships :P
why is everyone bitching about him only having 25bil? all of you forgot to count in the anount of maxed out bpos he has laying around + the capitals an hauling ships + the stuff that's still in production. if he would sell it all he will easyily make it up to 50bil and thats on what he has shown us. he could easily have a fuckton more assets laying around :/
and i would never ever ever get peeps to buy contracts for orig bps, as , you MAY get lucky and get what you think your buying, as there is a big scam there an original bps says original on it and doesnt say how many runs are left as an original starts with say 10k of runs it isnt never ending it has a limit, but if it has 3 runs left and u contract it to sell for 80 mill people think great deal it says original at material 10% time 10% but it does not say how many runs it has left may be 3 maybe 1000 but want be the max. be safe save more buy from npc station and not at jita or armar as you will be scammed go to a backwater NPC station and buy there
"There's no money in shuttles" - hah! they're more profitable than any combat ship! Though listening to the numbers mentioned, I suspect he's going by ancient pricing levels... but posted this year...? EDIT: Actually some of this sounds absurd... retiring from building battlecruisers because you're now building battleships? No!! If you can profit from battlecruisers and battleshis both, you should keep doing both, and also be making and selling blueprint copies of both! So much wasted potential....
being stomped by another alliance/player/corporation doesn't stomp you of much isk just the bit where you flown with that day so that might set you back a bit everyone in 0 sec knows the ancient golden rule never to fly with something you can't afford too lose , so let's assume you go to 0 sec start your building/mining business there the profits are atleast 10 times higher as highsec, so where you make 10 million in a day you now start making 100 million a day there is always some risk offcource but you need extreme extrme bad luck not to profit from working in 0 sec. basicly the only way not to profit if you get your stuff there and immidiatly been confronted by you dying and the alliance you just joined as well. i flew my first battleship back in 2005 i believe it was into impass or it was omist can't remember and there was a pirate rate by an corp called mOo and i lost my battleship upon arrival the same day i got an new battleship from the alliance free of charge. dunno how alliances operates nowadays but i am sure most of them have ship replacement programs.
I'm speaking in terms of Money moon setup if your sov gets taken away you loose those towers and setting it back up can be a nightmare especially when the alliance is after good moons etc plus it's a lot of isk to re set the towers etc.
Heres an idea.... try not to sound and look like a noob where making educational videos.... you managed to have all 8 lasers turned on for the full first cycle(60 secs)close down that 2nd container window so you can keep an eye on what you are doing, whats wrong with the tab you can drag your ore onto in the first window
OkarasChimera yeah, you're right. I just hate little smartmouth shits who think they know everything after playing for three months then quit playing forever, but keep their opinions subscribed and inject whatever BS they want into the game by proxy. I pay whether I play or not. Community growing again, at least if nothing else because most other MMOs suck or are copypasta of others.
Moon sized asteroids and rokh mining? Must be noob day. The big asteroids are veldspar sport and worth much less than the smaller asteroids. More lasers has zero to do with mining speed. I thought this one maybe an old vid, but then I saw the date and wow. Wait, are you trolling noobies?
I've reread your comment, and it seems to be not as hostile as i originally thought. My apologies for thinking you misunderstood the situation (Friday is liquid lunch day). It does need to be said though, in early eve, some BS were actually efficient mining platforms due to amount of turrets and number of upgrades. They were popular because back then mining barges took much higher skill requirements. The downside was constant monitoring to jet the cycle so the cargo didn't fill and shut off the cycle (as seen in this vid, which infuriated me no end).
+mainomai that's why I mention the date he posted the vid. In early Eve years you could mine with anything, but today not so much. The moon size asteroids also got me lol.
Lol, says you should go mining. Out of my own experience I can say... DON'T FUCKING DO THAT. I'm paying for the time I've wasted with training into mining now that I want to do fun stuff. Of course, it'll get the money... but not fast and definitely not in an exciting way... Better go doing something else. (Station trading is way quicker btw.)
mining rokh... i had to check the date on this vid to be sure it wasn't 2004
Considering the Rokh didn't exist in '04
LMAO
All information in this 33 min video can be described in 3 sec: "You can make billions by crafting capitals. Use excel. Remember to check component profit."

BOOM roasted
I saw the mining rohk and was sure it was a parody video. Then it just kept going and going and going.
"Oh the old days of mining... wait, he's serious? No, OP! STAHP!
+Feronanthus its a CO-VETTOR LOL what a tool. Look at dem LAZORS! I Got 7 it can't be questioned!

Just started in the game and this vid really hit on my liking thx a lot dude. Nothing like a senpai to help the little noobs xD
Doesn't look like your sheet includes job installation costs.
"the best way is to start ripping off a corporation"
Interesting to see the viewpoint of a industry focused player.
+Kupopoo Not really
+Harry Jackwagon yes completely clueless.
bowhead can't move a freighter, because it can't move repackaged ships.

i love how you;re translating terms for WoW players
How do you pronounce "covet"? Then add an "-or" onto the end... Why do so many people mispronounce ship names in eve.
CO-vet-OR
jita is jeeta..charon is kahron...etc
@@muircastle1 it'll always be sharon to me! :p
Are you gonna make anymore EVE videos? think they are awesome.
I kinda don't like how small they show the ship
zoom in
no i mean like in star wars the cruiser is like so big but in this is not even half the size of a cruiser
Yeah... because Star Wars is stupid as fuck.

true but I mean ships that showed in the clone wars cartoon series they had good ships beside the clone and separates ships
Wow, you said you were rich. 25B isn't rich, sure you have plenty of stuff in assets but in order to be rich you need 100s of billions even trillions.
+Ragnar you understand how inflation works right? having billions of isk is point less. isk dosnt increase in value.
+Marco Creen why are you watching this video if you don't even care about the virtual currency in the game? lol

Do you put buy orders in for minerals or the ore and refine yourself?
been trying to figure outhow to make big time isk for ages
does the spred sheet update automatically once u enter a certain critical thing
Hey how about a Rokh fit link????
so when are you going to cash out?
sold my anshar for 8.3... So bad deal?
Ha, how i made my first billion. After a week of playing the free trial, i took a jump into a wormhole to explore. I found a blueprint that was worth a billion, sold it the same day. Sometimes you gotta get lucky lol.
Wow, that's a great find.
ChrisUAnimation How did you find that blueprint tho, lol.
Took a trip down a wormhole, and found a relic site. Bam blueprint. Traded for 1 billion. Total win.
+ChrisUAnimation 1Bill bp? Which one?
lol ... how I made billions .... 27:45 "I dont want to make public how I made my billions"
Great to see that Owen Wilson's character from Zoolander plays EVE!
If you fleet up with Derek, do remember to cover your left wing.
Love the way your mind works. Well done mate :)
cohVETor, bruTEX, shimra.
You're looking for Covetor (cuh-vet-or), Brutix (br-ticks), and Chimera (ki-mere-a).
Please sir. Please.
One thing I just realized... on what resolution do you play on? 640x480?
That screen is so fucking cramped...
what the hell is that resolution ? everything is soo small

he is lying he has 23 isk
soo can i get some advices on how to make a living in this game?
Mining in a rokh, XD
lol my wife and each have multiples of the isk you have...I met a dude that had trillions of isk...20bill is nice but it really isnt that much
Doesn't mean its not helpful to some players
why is everyone bitching about him only having 25bil? all of you forgot to count in the anount of maxed out bpos he has laying around + the capitals an hauling ships + the stuff that's still in production. if he would sell it all he will easyily make it up to 50bil and thats on what he has shown us. he could easily have a fuckton more assets laying around :/

haha exactly. i make only 100mil a day i need more ideas that's why I'm here
+GamePlayRaja Join a sov holding null alliance
yeah join sov holding null alliance , you can make mad isk providing your not getting stomped by another alliance/coalition.
being stomped by another alliance/player/corporation doesn't stomp you of much isk just the bit where you flown with that day so that might set you back a bit everyone in 0 sec knows the ancient golden rule never to fly with something you can't afford too lose , so let's assume you go to 0 sec start your building/mining business there the profits are atleast 10 times higher as highsec, so where you make 10 million in a day you now start making 100 million a day there is always some risk offcource but you need extreme extrme bad luck not to profit from working in 0 sec. basicly the only way not to profit if you get your stuff there and immidiatly been confronted by you dying and the alliance you just joined as well. i flew my first battleship back in 2005 i believe it was into impass or it was omist can't remember and there was a pirate rate by an corp called mOo and i lost my battleship upon arrival the same day i got an new battleship from the alliance free of charge. dunno how alliances operates nowadays but i am sure most of them have ship replacement programs.
I'm speaking in terms of Money moon setup if your sov gets taken away you loose those towers and setting it back up can be a nightmare especially when the alliance is after good moons etc plus it's a lot of isk to re set the towers etc.
you faaaaar from being rich mate.. 27 bill. lol :)
Heres an idea.... try not to sound and look like a noob where making educational videos.... you managed to have all 8 lasers turned on for the full first cycle(60 secs)close down that 2nd container window so you can keep an eye on what you are doing, whats wrong with the tab you can drag your ore onto in the first window
co-vett-er? Cov-eh-tor.
How do you not know how to pronounce "coveter?" Honestly...
+Tyson Sorvig same reason you don't know that forearm tats are played out and lame as hell
please stop saying coVETor. It's COVetor
Why do you care? Seems a bit much to be so emotionally invested.
I don't know who you're talking to, but insulting people is no prove of wisdom.
noone cares you fkn loser haha
ARE_I_Heathen
You do, apparently.
is this video a joke? O.o
He explains at 1:10 why he is flying a Rokh. Pretty much to get a response like yours.
+mainomai proving my point
The moon size asteroids also got me lol.
this is the most civil disagreement i've ever seen on youtube
Had to quit watching when he couldn't pronounce covetor.
who cares how much isk you have if you cant pronunciation the ship names (also 25b aint shit)
Is that... Are you... Are you mining in a Rohk?
Wut? That is an absurd idea. Mine in a mining barge/Exhumer. What the hell.
aren't you fun at parties
Empmortakaten he explained that at the beginning. You get way more overall output, and it's just a fun way to mine
mining on bs? just like good old days.
I'm gonna take my Coh-vettors to Jidda and make money like Donald Trump. Lol
COVetor not coVETor. otherwise good video, thanks.
its rock, as in can you smell what the rock is cooking? and it's cuh vit uhr... learn to english.
No offense but this guy is fond of listening to himself bs about things. Real industrialists make more isk than this monthly. Fail video.
Lasket absolutely corrrect i extract of all my mining skills than ıam happy ;)
lol. he thinks billions is a lot :P
27bil lol chump change i make you look like a bum i have 27 bil in bpc's in a storage can :))))))
uh oh mining coercer incoming!
go back to WoW.......you'll be better off there.
clueless
Playing since beta, and you only have 29B? That's what I earned last month, and I don't need no stinkin' spreadsheet. This video is fail.
You think your next to Trump.....what a effin joke!
