At 5:12 there is a big house set back on a driveway... my Mum lived there for a year when she was 17 in the late 50s. A dentist and his family lived there (including his dental practice in the building) my Mum was the nanny to their two little children. It was probably the job she most enjoyed in her life. She said they were a lovely couple very quiet and went on regular date nights to the theatre and cinema. And the children were very happy too... an ideal job. I noticed the top half of the building was for rent in recent years... if only I had the money, I could live in the same house my Mum had lived! Her bedroom was the window above the door... just a little room. She said Unthank Road was very quiet in those days... only a dust road... no tarmac, and semi rural. How much has changed! Thanks for another great bus ride!😊
