I m currently planning my move to SIN and noticed that there is an Application for GST Relief for Hand-Carried Used Household Articles Personal Effects etc: so one must declare his/her belongings when entering SIN at the airport?
I am not sure, but I think that is if they are worth a lot or if it appears you will be reselling.. I think border control take a pragmatic approach most of the time.
Hi! We're also moving from the UK to SG and plan to use Transglobal Express. It seems like they want you to go into a lot of detail when preparing the list of items in the box. As in, they seem to even want you to specify what material clothes are made of. Did you bother to go into that level of detail? Thanks!
I heard there are snorkelling tours in singapore in the southern islands like kusu island , pulau hantu, i think u can google to find out more as im not rly sure
Wow!!! You guys are really into board games. Lovely photos of your wedding. Without sounding intrusive or condescending, any chance of seeing your wedding ceremony? :)
Mapominoes expands if you get the adjacent set to one you have - so pick up Asia or the US variant and it will work alongside the Europe maps. Pretty certain Ive seen it in the past in Paradigm Infinitum in their Orchard Rd store!
What shipping company did you use? Was it air freight or sea? How long did it take to arrive? I have just arrived in SG and have an entire apartment to furnish so I’m trying to work out how to get my stuff here!
Did you get your stuff? How? I am trying to figure out how to get my hands on 4 big moving boxes filled with clothes, kitchen tools etc that are stored at my parents. I wonder, if they can simply send it to me via DHL or if I have to hire a Freight Company under my own name, in order to not be charged any import fees (GST).
@@OsmanvonWelt we bought 4 big boxes and filled them with various household things. You do have to list what’s in the box though and they will charge GST so I don’t think there’s any way round that. For us it was about $100 which combined with the shipping was still cheaper than trying to bring it all in excess baggage. It was super fast - arrived in 3-4 days via DHL. Thanks again to Rob and Jenny for their advice!
🤔 Before you start using the mug pls dip into water for few hours. Reason: as too long nv use, if you just wash and pour hot water it will crack the mug. 😅

Yes it's a pain! We did it fairly loosely (eg wood/paper/glass) and hoped for the best ☺️

Oh thanks for the great tip!!
@@RobandJenny PI are my go to for expanding my already possibly excessive collection of games when Im in Singapore
Yeah. They are really good. Went there a few months back.
@@RobandJenny pick up anything good? My problem with game shops is always the self control to walk out without buying failing too frequently
Unpacking long-ago boxed items from home is almost like Christmas. Especially when you can’t remember exactly what was packed.
That's exactly how it felt!
👍😁😊都是好东西
What you bring to SG, you will one day have to bring back to UK.
Veryyy true
I do not know your sentiment about mugs. . . Drinking from the same one I have had for two and a half years. 😄😄
Haha, well we are kinda the same. We just have a collection that we are attached to 😉

We used transglobal express air freight. Was very easy and very quick.
@@RobandJenny thank you!!
