- Former UFC/Bellator fighter Rory Macdonald in his post fight interview after fighting Jon Fitch at Bellator says it was hard for him to fight or pull the trigger having that new relationship with Jesus Christ. Rory Macdonald fights a couple times after this interview but never looked quite the same.

Thats great for him. God bless ya Rory.
A true warrior has no enemies
Can you explain. Kind of looks like good one, but what that statement implies is somewhere unclear to me.
@@goodrat7Real eyes realize real lies.
@@goodrat7I still don’t understand it
@@hailarwotanaz5848a true warrior knows what it means to hurt people, knows when to hold back
@kiruoful if something is a lie, than it's a lie, there isn't really a reason to say it's real if the lie is already existing in reality itself. Dummy. I'm halfway trolling and halfway serious by the way
Of course he's resurrected. He gave his life in that 2nd Lawler fight. Many blessing to Rory.
Awesome comment
Fights like that make you realise you're putting your life on the line, and awakens you to your own mortality. Serious injuries can stay with you for life. At some point you care more about looking after your body than proving yourself as a man.
Almost like Rocky IV except for real.
@@simjam1980 he proved himself more than a man, it's just his body couldn't handle it anymore and took over his nerves to protect his life.
Rory: 😢☹️
The ring girl behind him: 😀🤪
She's fire
😂😂😂
Nice
Wtf you want her to do start sobbing for Rory?
@@CareerSaver541It’s just funny.
Dude was a savage. Anyone who not only breaks their nose, but shatters it, would remember that as a life altering, horrific experience. Rory fought for 20 minutes after that. It’s beyond comprehension for 99.999% of the human species.
In fact he sais that was the best experience of his life.
Yeah I unfortunately have had my nose splattered across my face too. I got into a fight with an entire party, I think well maybe a couple of drunk people didnt hit me lol but I went numb, seen red kinda and was like that's done and the clinched my jaws and tried to break their noses, but unlike the movies, I didnt Hulk up and whip ass. Instead a clocked with a set of brass Knucks and knocked on my ass bleeding like a cut hog, and thankfully my brother ran down knocked a couple dudes off my back and helped me to my feet. I pulled a CRKT KOMODO GOLD BLADE WITH A SWAT BILL, PROLLY A NEARLY 5" blade, and I cut our way back to his parked truck. In the aftermath I lost my wallet with a few 100 in it, three that 70 buck blade away lol, and at the E.R. I got 19 staples in side of my head(brass knucks leaves a mark) and my nose is still crooked, they claim only way to fix it was to let it heal and rebreak the nose over and over to make straight, cause mine was literal crushed, think I got hit across the bridge with Knucks cause I had odd shaped cuts on my cheek and forehead that resemble the outline of knucks
@@AdamMassey-lo1uw damn what a story !
That is truly what being a warrior is all about
This is peak masculinity
A Man who Upgraded His Spirit..
This is real Maturity.
It's hard to grow but it's a must for a higher understanding of this Life.
Stay Blessed out there..
It's a wicked World
Its just fascinating how people change when they find christ
Yeah. Like when pastors and priests start touching young boys. Is that the will of God too?
😅
@@patrickpascal1225 What's funny?
This is why I still am okay with religion because it shows hope and a moral compass. Even though I’m atheist I can appreciate a man finding hope
@@GunnLeonnit isn’t “hope” it’s faith, truly connecting with one’s intuitive love for the universe around them and all people because we are all just energy, or if your spiritual/ religious descendants of god or vessels of god, an omnipresent benevolent force that represents conscienceness. If we all had some form of faith the world would be better.
Amen brother the walk with Christ will touch u and soften what needs to be in us just go with it God bless 🙏🏼💯
"I dont have that same drive to hurt people anymore." Damn.
Rory finally remembered that he was Canadian all along
Come to the gyms here
😂😂😂😂😂

I loved this dude. Now I just love him more. Takes a lot to say that in front of a crowd you know won't receive it well. I tip my cyber cap
Ppl forget how good Rory was. He sacrificed himself against Lawler in the second fight…. Prior to that he scored wins against BJ Penn, Nate Diaz, Demian Maia, and Tyron Woodley. He definitely earned legend status
Rory found something that so many top fighters and even champions struggle to find, good on him
This hurt's. GOD IS BEAUTIFUL.
Rory was a straight warrior end of crazy transformation legend
he doesn't have enemies ❤
Amen preach it brother
Respect 🙏🏾
You are a warrior amongst warriors
Most fighters go through this, not specifically the religion or finding god part, but something changes in you when you start to get older and more experienced in life. Happens earlier for some, and later for others but it is inevitable. Some fighters train their way through it with some success. It's not just a "rage" or "anger" inside, it's more closely related to a "drive" to win or a fear of losing when you are younger. I don't know, it's hard to explain, but I know exactly his feeling.
Also you're producing a crazy amount of testosterone when you are in your teens and early to mid 20s. So it makes sense to be more aggressive and always willing to take risks trying to prove yourself as a man.
@@nostalgicbliss5547 It’s more of a mind set. Some things just become less important as you mature. Testosterone does not contribute to aggression in teens and young males. This myth has been around for a long time but has been proven to not be the case. My testosterone levels on 250mg/week TRT injections for nearly a year are 2-3 times higher than I was in my early 20’s. I am no more aggressive than any one else. In fact, studies have shown that low testosterone levels will make men more aggressive and irritable. Testosterone levels aren’t really a factor at all when it comes to maintaining a fighters mind set.
@@motovr9979 testosterone as a young man def makes you more willing to take risks. Cause you're trying to prove yourself. It's the same for other mammals and primates. TRT you're taking is not naturally produced by your body so you can't compare it to a young man all of a sudden producing loads of testosterone in their mid to late teens into their 20s. That's usually the age when males are trying to establish themselves and earn respect. At your age, your brain is already fully developed and you are more emotionally and mentally mature so it obviously would be counterproductive to become aggressive. I can see low T making men more irritable, less mentally sharp, less sex drive, less motivation, losing strength and muscle mass etc
Rory was a Sith confirmed
Lol
Love ya Rory, your my brother and everyone's brother. Kevin Macdonald
After his retirement,it feels like something missing in MMA,this video makes me feel something different, hard to explain,Rory has been one of my favorite MMA fight because his Canadian like me
“Water boy” was the best in the world for a while. Clean fighter. And imo. Robbie was on something (we’ll probably never know but…love Lawler but).
Once you have a family, you see things differently. Especially a man of honour like Rory
Awesome brother. It killed me when he took that shot from Lawler that crushed his nose. Rory is a legend but Christ is the true prize. They asked Jim Brown once what it took to be s great running back. His answer wad one word; rage.
Best striker with best words
Man had a great future
God bless him
Hatred and anger is what drives your spirit to fight and it made Mike Tyson one of the most feared boxers ever

Much Respect to this LEGEND!!!
True warrior knowing when to call it quits. One of the greatest to bee lace up those gloves and gave us arguably the greatest fight in UFC history.
One of the greatest prospects to almost fulfill his goal….almost
Dude will always be remembered for being part of (arguably) the best fight in UFC history.
This guy is amazing The toughest man in UFC History And a true inspiration to all
He’s a legend for the Lawler 2 fight. Going down in history as a hall of famer
It’s all good Rory most fighters get that after getting old & demolished. You probably saved yourself from more damage. Enjoy life.
Forever a Legend😭❤️🙏🔥
men im crying, remember when i was a kid, my dad told me that the next fight was "rory mcdonald" then i told him who is rory dad? my dad told me watch how great this guy fight. eversince i wont forget the name rorymcdonald this dude made me watch almost ufc in my whole life , and this dude is still a legend in my heart
Rory is a great man. He is one of the toughest guys I have seen fight. His fight with Robbie Lawler was Great.
God bless you Rory
True warrior has now transcended. Beautiful to see. God bless.
Rory became Thorfinn
amen to your happy life and ETERNITY 🙏
He lost his spirit to fight but gained the holy spirit. Love mma but I love Jesus more good for him.
Amen, same thing happened to me. Jesus took away my anger and bad ambitions
You won the spiritual battle Rory. We all respect you. thank you Jesus. Peace be woth you all my brothers and sister in Christ
May God be with him. Huge respect
Love you Rory was a honor 🦍💪❤️🩸
amen
Thank you for your fights rory, especially the 2nd lawler fight. You'll be always missed
That's just your case though Rory. You were lost in life, angry at the world and needed to be loved. Once you've felt the love of your God there was no longer a need for you to fight. You found yourself and no longer felt angry.
As opposed to the Nurmagomedovs who've felt the presence of their God since day 1 and yet they're the most dominant fighter of our time. Why? Because they're not fighting out of anger, they're technical and precise killers.
@@Borgborg128 I only read the first 3 words of your comment. The rest is irrelevant just like yourself
Why did you feel the need to comment this💀

Great testimony brother, congratulations for new life in Jesus.

I think of Rory when I listen to Tool
Legend
Live in peace now
I wish you nothing but all the best in your life Rory!
I know exactly what he's saying i was just like this. I got but into boxing as a 5 year old because of bullys, ended up being one until I was 10ish. Then I just loved to fight, especially fight people who picked on anyone. Didn't matter who you were. If you picked on someone and I was there, I would fight you. I started having amature mma fights, which helped get that out of me, so by 16, I was pretty normal, but I had a real rage when competing. But since my mrs. gave me a beautiful baby girl, I have nearly zero anger now and no feeling of wanting to fight. I just train and coach for fun. Team kaobon 🐒
God cares about the soul not worldly accolades! If He took it away it’s for the better, who knows, He may give it back to you. Follow Him brother!!!
Rory was a great fighter. He would’ve beat most welterweights today. Hats off to you Rory. Bless you
God bless you Rory you chose to listen to the voice of god you will for ever be a legend
It takes a real man to admit that
Proud to know you brother. Good job in Jesus Name.
Nothin but love for you brother fighter and heart of a champion not doubt.

This Guy is a warrior
More people have died in the name of Christ than I can count. Don’t let him down!
THIS IS VERY VERY STRONG EVIDENCE OF GENUINE SALVATION BROTHER! GOD BLESS YOU! INCIDENTALLY, IT HAPPENS THAT YOU HAVE HELPED ME CLEAR SOMETHING UP. I WONDERED, “WHY DO I FEEL WRONG WATCHING MEN ABUSE OTHER MEN BECAUSE OF MY RELATIONSHIP TO CHRIST, BUT SO MANY OF THESE FIGHTERS CAN CALL OUT THE NAME OF JESUS AT THE VERY EVENT IN WHICH THEY ARE DOING THE ACTUAL ABUSING THAT IM ASHAMED TO ONLY WATCH?” My answer: THEIR SALVATION CANNOT BE GENUINE AND ENDOWED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OR THEY COULD NOT….AS YOU HAVE DEMONSTRATED
Mr fruit inspector huh? You probably feel ashamed because it’s more than just a sport to you and anything not of faith is sin.
And partially I think he reached a peak of excitement in that fight with robbie after which he could no longer have a similar feeling in any other fight
Robbie beat the light in to him
Bro needs an Iroh
Good for him...some people go their whole lives with that consuming anger only to do evil with it. This is a guy who put his anger towards a sport...a violent one...but no less a competitive, skilled sport. If God helped him extinguish that anger then nobody should be giving him shit. If he feels like he truly has bettered himself then that's awesome. He was a hell of a competitor. Remember when he supplexed Nate Diaz 3 times in under a minute? He was brutal.
He should be tje Champion in both UFC and Bellator but All the hopes he got taken away by just one fight against Robbie Lawler. That fight will heavily took punishment to the body. He got many shots and gave everything in that fight. After that fight he is not the same Rory who fought Robbie Lawler anymore..
He gave his life Lawler 2 fight..
En Que pelea dijo eso? Alguien me dice
Cuando defendió su título de Bellator contra Jon Fitch en 2019.
eu ja admirava depois da 2 luta com rob e depois dessa declaração esse cara tem um lugar no meu coração difícil nao assistir algo dobre mma e ja não se lembrar dele.
It’s called cte.
What a great reason to deny yourself and pick up the Cross.
GREAT FIGHTER N GUY Tho i dont think he was beating wboy even if he never fought Lawler before that. Not many do that well on the feet against Wboy.Woodly vs Wboy 2 they were both hesitant to trade, wboy vs masvidal was great n he beat masvidal too in his prime,i cant not like macdonald or Wboy tho period.Very professional guys with big hearts, well spoken etc
