I remember, back in late December/early January of 2014, I got this game as a Christmas present. I was a 12 year old hard headed kid. I hated the first borderlands because I didn't know what I was doing. But then I played 2 for the first time, and I was instantly in love. I remember my first time when I killed Doc Mercy, and got my first Infinity Pistol. Me and 2 of my friends were so in love with this game, we'd spend all night just playing, having mindless fun. Split screen was so unresponsive on Xbox 360, but we made it work, and made it to Handsome Jack. Sure we were underleveled, but thats what made it so fun. We killed him and we celebrated so hard, we knocked out the very next moment. God, I miss those 2 so much, but something happened to them and they suddenly stopped visiting me anymore. Come 2017, I bought myself a PS4 and bought The Handsome Collection, to experience the DLCs (because I couldnt buy them in Xbox, and it had broken around that time). The DLCs were fantastic, and I was so hooked, I'd didn't realize I had spent so much time on this fucking glorious example of a perfect game. I wish Borderlands 3 was as good at this, but that's a story for another time.
In 2021 now, I STILL want this to be played at my funeral eventually. I want people drinking, and living it up to this song. Party it up in remembrance for me 🥰
