Enderal has taken me down such a beautiful tangent on my Elder Scrolls journey I felt I had a duty to put it on the pedestal it deserves! This video is NOT sponsored; it's just a love-letter from me I've been playing it along side my "ESO" series; where I try "The Elder Scrolls Online" for the first time and it's been such a great experience. I just hope someone out there finds this video and re-discovers your nostalgic-passion for Skyrim; that's the end goal. I'm always active in my discord, please don't hesitate to drop by and ask me questions about Enderal: discord.gg/7emp
Enderal is one of the best RPG's I have ever played. It's insane that it's free. I you like RPG's you need to give this a try, even if you don't usually like Elder Scrolls Games. It is that good.
@@jine7123 Well without leveling scaling you can. There's no max level so if you grind XP you can get OP as hell. It's at least 10x harder than skyrim though.
Found Enderal in 2020 and it blew me away. I still get chills listening to the tavern songs. I'm so impressed a team created something this thorough and engaging and released it for free. Such a gem
There's a book made by Enderal's story writer called "Dreams of the Dying" It's set in the same universe and tells about one of the main companions Total gem 10/10 Everyone who praises Enderal must read this!
Yeah I mention that in the video! The first book is free with Enderal (not the special edition) I believe. It comes with the steam download; or at least a part of it.
@@detroitpistonsplayoffs Not at all; that's the equivalent of saying "fus ro da". It's just the most noteable catch phrase from the first couple minutes of gameplay.
Enderal has a story and characters I will never forget. I do a new playthrough every year almost... Never gets old. My heart hurts and is full of love at the same time.
I've been wanting to play Skyrim for a time but everytime I think about all I have to do for the 100th time I give up, I wanna play Skyrim, but something new, not the same over and over again. You just gave me the perfect solution thank you so much, great work as always
I played Enderal after Skyrim expecting dessert, instead I got the main course. It's outrageous how great this free mod is. Right up there with Witcher 3, Morrowind or BG3 for me (though all are on the list for different reasons). Also if you haven't read the Jespar novel, you definitely should.
YES!! I love Enderal! I keep telling my friends about it too, I’m currently on my 3rd play through, try to replay it every year or so. The story is just so gut wrenching, the music fantastic, the dungeons so varied, superior to Skyrim in some ways (even tho that probably is my first love)… thanks for highlighting it!
Enderal is above Skyrim for me personally for sure. I have been trying to convince my friends to play it but there isn't really a great "intro to enderal" video out there so I had that in mind when I made this one!
As requested - I saw this video and was sold on the idea that it will feel akin to playing Skyrim for the first time again. Absolutely spot on. As mentioned, it IS a different game. Nothing about it is recognisable apart from the basic feel of the engine. The world is fantastic, sprinkled with excellent environmental story telling and secrets that we all love in Bethesda games. The story is gripping, surprising, dark and enthralling. The skill systems are impeccable and engaging. I've completely fallen in love and so so happy I stumbled across this video. Huge thanks to the devs and Frostbreak for this experience - absolutely exceptional. Please play this if you can, it is breath-taking.
I thought I was done with Skyrim and it's mods (500 hrs on Steam, probably 1000 total with different versions). Enderal is shockingly good, and criminally unknown. I was trying to play it like Skyrim, and kept getting my ass handed to me. Your vid helped me see at least some of the things I was doing wrong. It was also smartly done and easy to watch/listen. Liked/Subscribed, looking forward to more. This game needs more love.
I'm so glad you gave this game attention. I really want a lot of people to know and experience Enderal, especially its world and its storyline. The first time I saw Enderal was from a playthrough here on RUclips since I didn't have the computer to play it by myself back then and the storyline was something that stuck with me all those years leaving me with "void" feeling knowing that the ending isn't guaranteed but in a way, I find that it's great they didn't just put a "the hero wins" ending.
This project and Nehrim, Enderal's predecessor, honestly are two of my all-time favourite games. These two projects are just baffling; I have trouble imagining the level of dedication and creative energy that made them see the light of day at all, yet I imagine that it was the total creative freedom together with the meaningful storytelling that made these two games so interesting. Both innovated beautifully on the games they were based on, provided fun rpg character-building options in a world with remarkably deep narratives, they including compelling companions (well, maybe Nehrim's Kim was a bit so-so) while also having philosophical undercurrents. They are simply art. Free but very dang good art.
What a coincidence. After putting it down a couple of times over the years, I finally beat Enderal for the first time a couple of days ago. I am so glad that I never gave up on it as it is worth every bit of struggle it gave me. And after I was done? I went for a nice crisp piece of meat. >:) Something worth mentioning is that Enderal is actually the fourth game in a series that SureAI has made off of Elder Scrolls engines. Meaning that there are also two Morrowind based games and an Oblivion based game out there to play as well! And just like Enderal, the Oblivion engine game Nehrim is also a cult classic
I've played Enderal since 2019, and I think Enderal's content is on another level, the story, the voice actors, the gameplay, even the horrors elements are really attached to me. And I felt like cheating played it for free. Welcome to the Vyn!
Promised and delivered 🙂Having discovered and played Enderal for the same length of time I can relate to your experience. It certainly ignites that love of Skyrim and exploration but goes so much further. The intro to Enderal is one of the best I have experienced, once I saw that I knew I'd have a long future with this game. A very well done video as always and thank you for your time taken to share this amazing game with others.
Without going too deep into it, the books had to be divorced from Enderal due to a situation with one of the other SureAI developers, not Bethesda. I managed to get two copies of Dreams of the Dying from before and after the copyright stuff happened (I really wanted the sweet worldbuilding that comes with the hardcover's index section) - but even after the changes, the book is definitely worth reading as a sort of "spiritual successor" to Enderal in mind, for those who want more after finishing the game and liked Jespar (I cannot stress how amazing the audiobook is, too. It has the same voice actors and composer from the game to really make it feel like an extension of the same story from another "Eventuality"). The second book should be coming out soon and I'm really looking forward to it. But yeah, great video! Really glad to see more Enderal content and hope to see more people play and appreciate this gem.
Enderal atmosphere is unmatched in my opinion and the music is what immersive you the most since its just so fitting for the location, quest and themes of the game, the dream sequence music and the manor mission piano version, the undercity, and the ending of the rhalata questline and tavern musics are highlights but everything is perfectly crafted for where and when it will be used. Its definitely one of the best soundtracks in gaming.
Thank you for reminding me of Enderal. The wave of nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks, as I've played it when it launched. I'm so excited to return and try all the new content ☺️😍
I tried this marvellous creation a few years back. Probably the most memorable gaming experience ive had in nearly 30 years of gaming. Currently playing a mod collection for skyrim called gate to sovngarde. Once I'm done with it i think im gonna playthrough this again. Gonna try a light armored ranger type or a full mage. But im a sucker for heavy armor and swinging something heavy lol. I wont spoil it but one of the quests in enderal was the first a game made me cry.
Wow, I’d never heard of this but your video really got me intrigued. And I gotta say, you were right! Enderall is crazy good! I don’t know why I’ve never heard of it before. Thank you for sharing and shouting out such a great project!
"I genuinely hope I have converted at least one person to try out this phenomenal ..." - you got me there. Even though I'm a hopeless n00b (even Skyrim was REALLY hard for me at adept level) and I know from your description that I'm going to suffer my way through Enderal in ultra slow motion with loads of dying, your video made me hooked. My biggest fear was that I would lose my Skyrim installation and that Enderal would be difficult to install. But thanks to you, these obstacles now feel unimportant or really easy to overcome. Thanks a lot. I promise, I'll try Enderal very soon!
I too played Skyrim a decent bit, explored everything, experienced everything. Just as I was about to shut my PC off, I had this video of yours in my Feed, 2 weeks ago. Watched this video at 3am, and decided: "I'm gonna play this, seems like a breath of fresh air". I come back to this video, after finishing the game and it was just amazing. The way the story was written was marvelous, the same goes for how it Wraps up, at least, based on the ending I chose. I'm here to express my deepest gratitude to you FrostbreakYT, for making not just me, but thousands of us, discover this beautiful piece of Media. Thank You!
I finished up my first play-through of Enderal a few months ago, and was completely blown-away by the story, world, characters, and just everything. It was like reading an amazing fantasy novel, but actually being able to play through it in game form. Not to mention the main quest-line took me over 30 hours to finish, just focusing on it alone. After I had finished my first play-through, which in my first one I mainly just focused on the main quest line, I then started my second and took my time doing side quests and stuff. Without any spoilers, there is one specific side quest that took me like 20 hours to finish, and I'd never have known it even existed if I hadn't stumbled across it doing another side quest. Enderal will forever be one of my favorite not just RPGs, but games I've ever played. I wish I could enjoy it for the first time again. It also has an AMAZING sound track, imo much better than Skyrim's (which says a lot, I really enjoy Skyrim's soundtrack as well). I'm still blown away that Enderal is free. If I could give any advice to someone looking to try it for the first time, it'd be this: Take your time. The main quest is so good you'll probably just want to speed to the end and see how it plays out, but trust me, take your time and explore, do side quests, and enjoy the detailed world. There's many times in the story where a quest has you wait two or three in-game days. Don't just go sleep to continue - use these times to prepare and explore, or start/finish other quests. It will be worth it :)
Same as you, while I played and after I finished Enderal (and even did 100% of all achievements, proud of that) I had the giant urge of writing a love letter to that game... I only feel bad about not being able to experience it with a fresh set of eyes once more. I would kill for another Mod like this in Skyrim that has me return to this part of my youth when times were easier
Im one of the people Frostbreak talked to on his discord about enderal. I only managed to play a few hours this weekend but i was surprised by the game. coming from those 2.6k hours in eso, I got so used to easy combat that its been an adjustment for Enderal. I was delighted with the enemy AI. was using a bow and after two hits, the bandit learned exactly how to avoid my hits and i had to change my attack pattern MID FIGHT. the chaos alone getting into that first settlement is on par with the entire helgen to riverwood sequence, and that chaos was unscripted. I simply wandered too deep into the wilderness and ran away from spiders, bandits and wolves. Thank you for the talk and video man. I cant wait to get back to it
I WILL be playing this. You ARE the reason I discovered this. Even if I don't play it this week, I will literally be playing the Anniversary Edition until I play Enderal. This was a fantastic introduction as well.
Enderal is one of the best gaming experiences i've had in the last decade. Knowing it was a small team and a labor of love made me appreciate the craft, storytelling, and masterful world building so much more. I bought Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim all on release. I played Enderal this spring and it was the first game to come close to the sense of wonder and exploration i felt with Morrowind. It's criminal this game isn't better known!! thanks for giving it more attention.
Man, the beginning of this video makes me feel old, with Morrowind being my TES introduction when it was brand new on Xbox, when I was a sophomore in high school in 2003....
I played this for a very short period when it first came out and just never ended up coming back to it. After fighting with mod packs for a long time to try to get the Skyrim experience that I want, this is going to finally get me back to Enderal. I was dreading playing it with Vanilla Skyrim combat and a lack of my favorite mods, I am so happy to hear I was outright wrong about that.
I'm always happy to see new players discovering this game, I've played it since it came out and wholly agree that it is rewarding to play when you go off the beaten track, that is what I loved about it, I only wish I could play it for the first time again
Almost 2 years since I played through the Special Edition of Enderal, it's the only game in recent memory I still think about and search content for. Even read the novel. It's mind boggling how good this game is. Thanks for the essay!
absolutely. if there is one thing Enderal has in heaps, it is athmosphere. Booth the world and the audiodesign including soundtrack just are full of that bittersweet and sorrowful feel of [redacted due to spoilers]
I never got to play Skyrim for the 1st time as it was exposed to me. Enderal was that to me & more. It is probably my most favorite game. SO much I've been so afriad to finished it.. So you just saying it take 4-5 playthroughs to experience everything. Has probably changed my life, Thank you good sir. Thank you!
I played Enderal last year, even used a wabbajack modlist to enhance the visuals. I was afraid I would get tired of it because of Skyrim visuals. But I was so wrong. It's probably the single best indie game Ive ever played. It's so good. From the combat, to the environment and the story, it's such an underrated gem. It kinda reminded me of the same feeling I had upon finishing Death Stranding. Its the kind of game you can't really explain it. You have to play it to understand what people really mean when they tell you it's a different kind of "great" game. It's an experience.
Excellent video! Great job of presenting what Enderal is without spoiling anything. I had enjoyed playing Skyrim for years, but when I discovered Enderal I was blown away. While I consider it "Skyrim with a story", to me just about everything is superior to vanilla Skyrim, from the narrative to the environmental design to the music. I have tried to get anyone who will listen to play it.
As someone who plays tons of modded Skyrim, how have I not heard of this?!?!? Downloading now and ready to get lost in it like skyrim all those years ago. Thanks so much for showing this off!
@@FrostbreakYT Literally in the same boat. Skyrim is still the most fun I've ever had in a game and I've been chasing that rush for over a decade now. I have no idea even after getting deep into modding that I've never heard of this. Thanks for sharing potentially life changing info lmao
@@FrostbreakYT A little over a week in, playing on both steam deck and pc, and it's absolutely amazing. I got two other friends to try it out and now we're constantly talking about all the little things we're finding.
I wanna thank you for recommending this, I'm currently installing it but am really excited to try it. I'm shocked that I've never heard of it prior to this. From what you showed in this video alone it should have gotten way more attention.
@adrianmartin7344 Pretty good so far. Gotten a good few hours into it, however not too far into the story. If you haven't you should try it if you can.
I discovered Enderal few years ago and back then i was OBSESSED with it, thought it was so underrated. I'm so happy more people are starting to discover it! Your video brought back all the good memories from back then, I might even start another playthrough haha. Thank you for your hard work you put into your videos and i hope more people will play Enderal because of it. ♥
Enderal is a game I beat just two weeks ago. It blew Skyrim away. I need more of it. I don’t even like story focus but they still had a good mix of exploration too!
Thanks for the recommendation, @FrostbreakYT. I'm downloading it right now. I haven't played Skyrim since it originally launched back in 2011. I was 19 back then and that game sucked me in for 2 years straight. If Enderal can recapture at least some of that magic, I'll be very happy. Will report back in a few days.
@@FrostbreakYT I'm missing around 25 achievements, so no, I don't 100% the game each time. Some achievements are highly dependent on your playstyle though, more than just your ability to clear content.
Enderal is the reason I had faith in Fallout: London. Doubt was reasonable but, I knew that something on its scale had been done once before - and it could be done again. Its pretty cool that if you own Skyrim and Fallout 4, you own 4 games. Enderal is one of a few games (for me) that hit so well you had to just sit there and let the credits roll while you figure out just what you want to do with your time next. I fuckin love mods, Enderal is a true testament to creative freedom when it isnt beholden to shareholders and time/money constraints.
One of my favourite videos from you. Watching your editing, pacing, and content creation grow from the SWTOR video (which I started at); to this has been awesome. I hope you take no offence, but your new stuff is miles better than your older videos (not saying they were bad, you're just at a different caliber now). Appreciate 'ya.
Honestly, the experience was very rewarding and I could tell when I was reaching end game and didn't want it to stop. The story is so engaging and the gameplay systems compliment it very well. Was truly heartbroken after my first playthrough.
To Me Enderal is the Pinnacle of how to overdeliver & go above an beyond! I'm still on my first play through & am enjoying the hell out of it. I had originally planned to play Enderal this week & then boom you dropped a video on it, crazy how that works lmao, Great video btw keep it up bro! 🤘
No clue how I have never heard of this. it looks amazing dude, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'm downloading it right now. I'll come back and let you know how it is!
The story and setting of this game was a delight to discover. Some characters are really unforgettable. And certain quests are the some of the best I've ever dealt with in a videogame, like this one about a certain child in the east of the map. This one really struck me out. Also, the whole questline with that guild from the undercity is quite the experience too. And also the one about a certain flying ship getting you in a certain place. Honestly I feel like I robbed the developpers by getting for free. They much deserve to be payed for the experience they put me through with this game. My only criticism is that I found the gameplay to be quite harsh sometimes. And nice video by the way. You perfectly set what Enderal is about and how it differs from Skyrim at the very beginning.
Thank you so much glad you liked it! Totally agree with all your points! I think the ship bit is (later?) in the main campaign. One of the last missions you do to discover the city in the clouds.
This game, the soundtrack, the story, the characters, everything about this game will always hold a special place in my heart. What a beautiful game this is.
I just started skyrim again after 5-6 years since my last play through and first Time playing on pc with mods. And man it feels like playing it again for the first time it’s beautiful.
When Enderal trailer was announced at the time it was a crazy feeling, for years there were lots of mods released but there wasnt anything really like Enderal, everyone felt like Skyrim 2.0 was about to be released, there were and still other other world size mods being made: skyblivion, beyond skyrim; skywind etc but Enderal's release was wild at the time, it felt so real, and it was a boost in hope for the other projects, many of which are still being made till this day
Oh, a video about Enderal. Here is my view, my like and my comment. It is that simple. I first discovered Enderal when Forgotten Stories was first released. Saw it on a twitch stream and it stayed with me ever since. Completed it several times, did most (if not all but I might have missed something) side content/quests, explored the world and lost myself in its narration. The writing, the story, the themes and motives, the music, the aesthetics .. everything comes together to create the (for me) ultimate role playing experience. Can only recommend giving this game a go! I kind of understand people though, who have trouble getting into it. It's hard and it's really different from other "modern" games, more of a classic old school RPG, but the intro suggests otherwise, it's very gripping and modern, so I was kind of confused after about 2 hours, when I realized how different this is going to be and it took a while to get a grasp of how the game is supposed to work. But once you pass that initial barrier, you are in for the most intense ride I have every experienced in a game. My favourite 3 quests are "A Song in the Silence", "Angel" and "Dark Chambers of our Mind". They conquered my empathy, my tears and my soul.
Beautiful review. Well written! I've been playing Enderal for years and I am still absolutely in love with it. The story still makes me tear up at some points and I seem to continuously find new interesting quests and places with every new playthrough I do. I've also read the book 'Dreams of the Dying' and through Jespar, you can really feel the vibe of Vyn (planet where Enderal is located).
Im always glad to see Enderal videos. Enderal is one of the best Role playing experiences ive ever had. Funny enough. Ive never technically finished it. I always restart/replay but i love it every time.
Thank you for making the video so informative and yet still spoiler free. I feel that's hard to find out there.. Enderal was something I heard of and wanted to try, but I never got around to it. I think your video was just what I needed to push me over that edge to give it a shot! Wish me luck!
One of the important parts of Enderal is in my opinion that it is BEAUTIFUL. The way SureAI built the world is with less vast open areas like you have in base game Skyrim in Whiterun. This way the devs were far more aware of how exactly the player would be approaching an area. This leads to the areas the player will move through being far, far superior to Skyrim's aesthetics because there is just so much density and most importantly INTENT in the environment, something Bethesda seems to have lost along the way more recently.
I had heard of it before, but the fact that it runs separately from the main game (and more importantly, mod load order lol) is what i needed to hear to finally try it
Enderal itself is a love letter to older games I think, where companies were led by people with passion for their projects. That's not to say game developers aren't passionate, they are - and they work their asses off. But it's hard to hold onto that passion when your bosses say "No, make it more marketable, make it appeal more to the mainstream." Enderal is a great example of the potential in video games. It's fun, philosophy, art all in one. Born from vision of a man who wanted to create a message, and a beautiful world.
Made it 5 minutes in to the video before tabbing out and and putting it on to download. I knew about the mod but just never got round to it, your video definitely sold me on it
After I saw this video, I tried Enderal and I LOVED IT! It's so so so good, it has such a deep story and is overall so incredibly beautiful, even without mods. I didn't think it would look nearly as good as it does, and the music. oh my god the music. It's so pretty, my favorite song so far is from the intro. It's so calm and peaceful but now seems tainted to listen to after seeing the tragedy that happened to the player character
Thank you from an avid Skyrim nerd. This was an excellent review of a game I have never played but intend to now. I don't know if it's available on xbox which is my only console but will check it out. I hope you have hundreds of hours or years of fun with this game as I did with Skyrim and still do. After 13yrs of almost daily playing I don't play now I live in Tamriel. Voth kogaan zeymah. 👍🇬🇧
leaving a comment to gush about enderal. Spent a couple hours the other week just looking for a game that's somewhat like it. Enderal is seriously an awesome RPG experience
Enderal just might be the best game I ever played. The writing is exceptional. It's so immersive I stayed emotionally shaken by it for a while. I was under the impression that most of the Skyrim community has played it as I heard about it from Skyrim FB groups. You mentioned the writer, Nicolas Lietzau, and I've followed him on FB for several years. Up until a year or two, Nicolas posted regularly and often replied to comments, I've even had conversations with him on messenger, mostly because I had just self-published a book while he was struggling with some self-publishing pitfalls. So direct from Nicolas, while he stated that he would not name names, he specified that neither Bethesda or SureAI was responsible for the copyright issues with his first novel. Think about it, Bethesda would have no legal rights to SureAI's fictional world, stories or characters. Since Enderal is a sequel to previous TES total conversion mods set in the same world (Nehrim for Oblivion and Arktwend for Morrowind), my guess is it was a previous SureAI writer who created some of the world and/or story, and I think Nicolas was required to change some of the world names and background he first published with. If you haven't read Dreams of the Dying, the first novel based on Jespar's back story, it's brilliant and emotionally wrenching. The rest of the Jespar trilogy is in its fourth draft and almost ready for publication, can't wait!
Great video. Very well done and just what I wanted to watch to get an impression of Enderal. I have been making Skyrim content for a while now and am planning to dive into Enderal at some point. Thanks for not spoiling but giving a very detailled review of the mechanics and the differences to Skyrim.
I discovered Enderal in its very very early stages way back in 2014 or so and it left a good impression but i could see that it needed time and work. Thanks for this video and reminding me of its existence! Downloading now!
@@FrostbreakYT Just finished a full day of sinking into this game and fully agree with your review! Having a blast and figuring out the companion/phantasm system and made my way to Ark after good prep thanks to your advice! :D
@@grayfarron5077 Oh that's so great to hear! Yero's basement you explore with Jespar has everything you need to phasmalism stuff if you want to create a summon! The Rhalata faction quest is also amazing which you can start in Ark's undercity arena fights!
Played the game back in 2019 when it was only available for the og version of Skyrim, it was literally one of the most memorable games that I've played. Your video and you walking through Ark and the world felt really nostalgic, Enderal is a masterpiece. I'm gonna play another playthrough of it after I finish my current modded Skyrim run, and try out Fallout London.
so glad you reviewed this amazing mod! I remember a long time ago seeing mod reviews for it when it first came out, and bits and pieces of playthroughs. Now that I've got my own gaming PC, I've been putting off installing it. But seeing how easy it looks to install it now, I might just have to play it very soon :)
I've been trying to mod Skyrim on the Steam Deck for a while now and I've had absolutely no luck. This video has convinced me to try Enderal. Never even heard of it until now, haha! It looks awesome though! Reminds me more of Morrowind and Oblivion than Skyrim. Difficulty-wise I mean. Like a bit less casual than Skyrim... I'm looking forward to playing this on Deck! Thanks so much for the video!
If you want other stories in Enderal's world the SureAI guys also made Nehrim: At Fate's Edge which is a total conversion mod for Oblivion, in Enderal's opening cinematic it talks about the war on the other continent, Nehrim is where you play through that & some characters do reappear in Enderal from Nehrim. Arktwend: The Forgotten Realm & Myar Aranath: Relict of Kallidar are less contected to the story in Enderal but they too are set in Vyn as total conversion mods for Morrowind, I have never played any of these myself, but if you want more Vyn that's where you'll have to go to find it.
Outstanding video. This game looks beautiful. Hope you make more videos on this game (especially tips and tricks). I haven't played yet, but you've convinced me to give it a shot. Thanks!
I can't believe I've never heard of this. Me and my buddies have been modding the crap out of Skyrim for years now. One of my buds has over 1000 mods installed through multiple 3rd party programs lol Can't wait to show him this!
Sometimes i just need to watch another person glaze enderal. It has it all. Strong level-design Strong art-direction (skyrim already looks great and enderal takes it even further) More rewarding player progression An amazing story.
After giving the mod ago after watching this video though steam, got like 30 + plus hours on mod, best weapon and heavy armour set, level 56 and just started the main quests in ark again as there so much this mod offer in exploration and side content. Thank you for this vid
I agree, I get to level 20-30 and up starting over again. The starting experience is so fresh compared to when you actually have gear and power. I am going to raise my diffiulty from Master to Legendary once I hit 20.
One thing in Enderal that truly enthralled me was music, both general soundtracks and bard songs are incredible, especially bard songs, which were extremely lacking in base Skyrim, here they are absolutely incredible and their lyrics often allude to ingame stories and quests.

BUT I DİDNT DO İT DADDY!!!
Something tells me that last line is a major spoiler
@@detroitpistonsplayoffs Not at all; that's the equivalent of saying "fus ro da". It's just the most noteable catch phrase from the first couple minutes of gameplay.
Enderal has a story and characters I will never forget. I do a new playthrough every year almost... Never gets old. My heart hurts and is full of love at the same time.
I've been wanting to play Skyrim for a time but everytime I think about all I have to do for the 100th time I give up, I wanna play Skyrim, but something new, not the same over and over again. You just gave me the perfect solution thank you so much, great work as always
Just like me, I open Skyrim on Steam and after some contemplation on the main menu I close the application without having done anything
I really hope you enjoy it! Enderal has completely re-invigorated my love for this 13 year old engine xD
If you haven’t try lorerim
I'm so so happy to hear that! Thank you so much for coming back and letting me know how it went!
Yessss more Enderal content ! Enderal is my favourite game.
Yasss love it too. When did you started it before?
Something worth mentioning is that Enderal is actually the fourth game in a series that SureAI has made off of Elder Scrolls engines.
Thank you Chrisie! Happy you're enjoying the journey too :)
Never even knew about this. Thank you for putting it forward!
+1 converted! That's the goal of the video :)
I can't play Skyrim without having the Enderal Music Mod ..... Those first 10 seconds.... INSTANT Chills....
absolutely. if there is one thing Enderal has in heaps, it is athmosphere. Booth the world and the audiodesign including soundtrack just are full of that bittersweet and sorrowful feel of [redacted due to spoilers]
I got Enderal because of your video and it's just amazing, I genuinely can't prize it enough
I've never heard of this before and it looks amazing! I started downloading it before the video even ended.
That's awesome to hear! I hope you enjoy it :)
It's an experience.
i just started downloading it and am eager for that nostalgia. great video
Always happy to see more coverage for enderal, I played the game last year and it blew me away
As someone who plays tons of modded Skyrim, how have I not heard of this?!?!? Downloading now and ready to get lost in it like skyrim all those years ago. Thanks so much for showing this off!
Please let me know how it goes!
Yeah, kinda suprised by how little people know about this amazing mod
It's always awesome to watch more Enderal videos. I made one to bring the much deserved attention it needs! Great video!
I wanna thank you for recommending this, I'm currently installing it but am really excited to try it. I'm shocked that I've never heard of it prior to this. From what you showed in this video alone it should have gotten way more attention.
How'd it go for you?
That's great! I'm very excited for you!! Let me know how it goes, and if you have any questions I'm usually pretty active in my discord :))
It's always nice to see a new video praising Enderal. I played through at least 4 times and currently planning a fifth with tons of mods.
Have you been able to 100% it with 4 playthroughs? Or are there still some achievements you're missing.
@@FrostbreakYT I'm missing around 25 achievements, so no, I don't 100% the game each time.
Some achievements are highly dependent on your playstyle though, more than just your ability to clear content.
@@mathieu4179 Yes very true. There's a couple locked to specific builds so if you don't vary it up enough you won't get them.
Walk blessed
One of my favourite videos from you. Watching your editing, pacing, and content creation grow from the SWTOR video (which I started at); to this has been awesome. I hope you take no offence, but your new stuff is miles better than your older videos (not saying they were bad, you're just at a different caliber now). Appreciate 'ya.
Thank you so much! I take no offence; I'm new to RUclips so it's cool to hear from someone who's been around since Day 1!
Very well said! For a completely free experience it's probably the best RPG out there!
Your video made me start downloading it. I played Nehrim (same studio that made Enderal) so many years ago and it's insane how detailed it is.
I've never tried Nehrim; but I've heard it's great!
This game, the soundtrack, the story, the characters, everything about this game will always hold a special place in my heart. What a beautiful game this is.
I just started skyrim again after 5-6 years since my last play through and first Time playing on pc with mods. And man it feels like playing it again for the first time it’s beautiful.
so true, i did 8 playthroughs since the release and enjoyed every second of it. the dlc is amazing too, many developers can learn from enderal
When Enderal trailer was announced at the time it was a crazy feeling, for years there were lots of mods released but there wasnt anything really like Enderal, everyone felt like Skyrim 2.0 was about to be released, there were and still other other world size mods being made: skyblivion, beyond skyrim; skywind etc but Enderal's release was wild at the time, it felt so real, and it was a boost in hope for the other projects, many of which are still being made till this day
One of the few games I think about very regularly. Especially the civilizations built upon the ruins of the previous ones
I always restart/replay but i love it every time.
loved my playthrough of this. Awesome vid!
Thank you for making the video so informative and yet still spoiler free. I feel that's hard to find out there.. Enderal was something I heard of and wanted to try, but I never got around to it. I think your video was just what I needed to push me over that edge to give it a shot! Wish me luck!
I'm very excited for you! I wish you the best of luck on your adventure :)
Just started my first play through thanks to your channel. Love your content.
Half way threw the video i started downloading the game. Its installing in this very moment and im realy excited to play it
This game is very hard
I had heard of it before, but the fact that it runs separately from the main game (and more importantly, mod load order lol) is what i needed to hear to finally try it
Enderal itself is a love letter to older games I think, where companies were led by people with passion for their projects. That's not to say game developers aren't passionate, they are - and they work their asses off. But it's hard to hold onto that passion when your bosses say "No, make it more marketable, make it appeal more to the mainstream."
Enderal is a great example of the potential in video games. It's fun, philosophy, art all in one. Born from vision of a man who wanted to create a message, and a beautiful world.
Made it 5 minutes in to the video before tabbing out and and putting it on to download. I knew about the mod but just never got round to it, your video definitely sold me on it
That's amazing! It's probably my fav RPG ever!
Thank you for coming back and telling me! I'm so happy you liked it :)
YES please more Enderal videos!!! I'd love to know what you thought of the different stories
leaving a comment to gush about enderal.
You're welcome, I hope you can enjoy it!
I discovered Enderal in its very very early stages way back in 2014 or so and it left a good impression but i could see that it needed time and work. Thanks for this video and reminding me of its existence! Downloading now!
Thanks for sharing! I don't think I bugged or crashed once in the default steam version. Very stable experience for me!
I'm definitely going to give this a try this weekend.
Thanks!
I hope you enjoy it :)
I can't believe I've never heard of this. Me and my buddies have been modding the crap out of Skyrim for years now. One of my buds has over 1000 mods installed through multiple 3rd party programs lol
Can't wait to show him this!
Same here! My friend group constantly does Skyrim runs (every year or so) and I have no idea how we never heard of it before.
Never heard of it but I'm gonna try it immediately
70 hours into my first play through because I found this video. I’ve struggled to pick Skyrim back up until this. I’m helplessly addicted
That makes me so happy to hear! Thank you for reporting back :)
Enderal's story kept me so captivated.
You’ve won me over I’m gonna give it a shot. Wish me luck against the first pack of wolves I’ll no doubt be dying to!
Good luck soldier
Another Enderal video essay? Time to watch it... while eating a nice, crisp piece of meat!
;)
It is a pleasure to watch a new review of Enderal.
Sometimes i just need to watch another person glaze enderal.
It has it all.
Strong level-design
Strong art-direction (skyrim already looks great and enderal takes it even further)
More rewarding player progression
An amazing story.
I am going to raise my diffiulty from Master to Legendary once I hit 20.
wow.... consider me converted to play this awesome game .... much love
No idea how I never knew about this mod. Thanks for making this video
Glad I could help!
One thing in Enderal that truly enthralled me was music, both general soundtracks and bard songs are incredible, especially bard songs, which were extremely lacking in base Skyrim, here they are absolutely incredible and their lyrics often allude to ingame stories and quests.
Dude, your passion for the game is killing me, i need to try it asap
How have i never heard of this??? Downloaded it this morning and have been having a blast :)
