Being 'fun' to watch, and being successful, aren't mutually exclusive or inclusive of each other, but there is a fine line to achieving both.

I was around in the days for George weah and he only got this recognition because he got the break of going to ac Milan and in those days the Italian league was the big league. He suited for a weak team where he's the sole point of retaining possession, as everyone' else would just squander the ball asap

@@johannsebastienbach Scholes was a highly rated player but a good example of the type of player the EPL can deliver. Although he was not on the same level as Okocha in terms of technical ability its a case of comparing apples and oranges.
Scholes was also a dirty player at times who hid this behind the myth of him 'not being able to tackle'
Okocha never got to play in a team at the level of United in the 90's but that doesn't mean he couldn't. No one with that level of ability could not fit but he played the game a different way. The fact that such a player survived and flourished in the EPL is testament to his ability but I take your point.
Its like comparing the Brazilian team of the 70's who played with a love of the game against the most ruthless and functional German team of the 80's and 90's. I know which one I would rather watch.

yeah magic is important, and british futbol players are more physical than actually tecnical which is why the premier league is in big part moved by foregin players, there are parts of the world (and players) that just emphasize more on their tecnical development expression, muscle is good to a certain degree, but if you control the ball with tecnique, you can play until your late 30s like zidane with no need to be strong and still boss the midfield, kevin debruyne being the best plyayer in the prem for the last 4 years is an example, tecnically he is really really good, but you also have the likes of bernardo silva, o other players in other teams, technique wins, really, and british dont empahize it enough which is why, the talent comes from elsewhere, countries, that highlight more technique id say spain, italy germany, franceotherother european countries and south america latin america, wehere you just grow up playing 4 v 4 in the park, with a futsal ball, nutmegging each other and developing technique and mastery for the ball and the game thats what will set you apart the most in my experience, opinion, thanks! for reading and letting me share.
