I purchased one of these recently for my 2023 F900XR. The mounting screws on either side of the GPS cradle that go through the holes in the moto-mate will not stay tight. At first, I thought it was simply a matter of needing a lockwasher. No luck, still gets loose and the mount falls into the LCD. I added locktite to the threads, still no luck. I swapped out for longer screws so there were more threads going into the threaded portion of the mount. With the moto-mate having a thicker section than the stock mount, this made sense. Still no luck. No matter what, the mount becomes loose and slips downward into the LCD screen. The only thing I can come up with is that the material is somewhat soft and continues to compress with each re-tightening of the screws. I can tighten the screws with the bike sitting in the garage, come out the next day and they will be loose again without the bike even moving. I'm at the point where I'm about to toss it in the trash and find another mount.
Good instructions. Looks a bit tight if you put on the new bmw connected ride gps. Can you confirm when this gps is fitted it will also allow screen height operation. I can confirm that the new ConnectedRide Navigator prevents screen adjustment as its about half inch too wide.
Do BMW ADV bikes such as F850GS ADV not have GPS integrated into the TFT or can you cast with your phone etc. If not why use one of these rather than a usual phone mount Thinking of upgrading my old bike to a new one.
Hi there, yes you can connect your phone to the TFT and use your phone for navigation. But, this is only turn by turn navigation and does not giive you the flexibility that a bespoke GPS does. =
Thanks so much. Another question if I may. I am buying a 850GS and the navigation mount comes with it as standard. Can I attach a standard phone to this or would i need a separate phone holder?
@@CaptainCaveman782 Hi there, you have a couple of options here, you can remove the cradle and use one of our accessory bar mounts or you can buy a phone cradle that plugs into the BMW navigator cradle with a usb charging lead. Some of my customers love these some have had issues, I've no idea which brands they've gone with so could be a bit of a lottery

Hi there, we are currently working on an adapter for the connected ride to move it left as it does interfere with the screen adjusting lever
