The defense still concerns me...Lions were eating them alive for long stretches, especially the running game. They can't play from behind against the Chiefs. In both their playoff games so far they've started sluggish in the first half. They need four good quarters of football against KC.
On the Lions last drive, that play that the tight end caught and got down to the 2 yard line has me concerned quite a bit. It was just twins coverage on the side with DeMo and Brown. DeMo got caught up playing too deep and had a hard time getting around the receiver to try to knock the tight end out-of-bounds. He'd better be coached up on this, because the Chiefs run a ton of routes like this, where one receiver is essentially running a rub while the other receiver cuts underneath. Their go-ahead score in SB54 was one such play. They also got 2 easy TDs vs the Eagles in last year's SB on such plays. Coach'em up Wilks.

The coaches decision to get greedy and not put 6 points on the board from 2 field goal opportunities cost the Lions the game. Taking fundamental football out of the equation reminded me of when Pete Carol didn't give the ball back to Marshawn Lynch. The coach lost this game for being greedy.

I know it's a moot point, but the Aiyuk catch off of the facemask should have been a touchdown since it technically wasn't a catch until he hit the ground and showed control. He was touched prior to that.

For a guy who receives racial prejudice from washed up individuals like Rashad Mendenhall, Christian McCaffrey overcomes these obstacles and is a hell of a football player. One of the best in the league.
I was extremely mad at the refs at one point in the game where they forgot to call a person foul for helmet contact on a purdy sack. Wtf. How did they miss that. Shame on them but great win by my 9ers. Id make a way better ref.
