You should consider going on the Brenda Jackson readers reunion cruise. I’ve met many kindred souls who absolutely love reading and I’ve been exposed to authors I’ve never heard of. Last year there were 300 people & I got my daughter hooked on Alexandria House.

This vlog was everything!! I love the friendship you have built and it’s nothing better than a friend who has a love of books just like you. The new friend made in the bookstore was everything she was just the right vibe for ya’ll. I just started Powerless. The addicted to you series is AMAZING
I'm on my second Penelope Douglas book. I bought Birthday Girl on my actual birthday having never heard of Penelope Douglas before in my life. I wasn't even looking for her books; I was looking for three completely different books from completely different genres. But I couldn't find two of the three books I was looking for, so I went to see if there was anything in the romance section that caught my eye and stumbled across Birthday Girl. I only bought the book because of the title and because it was my birthday....but have mercy was I ever shocked. It is a pager turner for real. I'm currently reading Credence. This one is a little more on the kinda dark but not really dark side. It will fire up all of your nerves in a lot of ways, but it is also a page turner and quite interesting.

I live in Indy but Im originally from Chicago and I had to come down there last week because my dad passed away on Feb 13th🫶🏽😔 After the funeral my mommy took me to The Last Chapter Book Shop and oh my goodness I felt like a little kid at a toy store😂 It’s soo pretty in there and the books 🥹🫶🏽.. omg girl THE BOOKS! So many I haven’t seen😭🤎 I loved it and just seeing y’all go there makes me so happy 😩🫶🏽🫶🏽

If a book isn't in your libraries, but you've already purchased and read it, you can suggest a purchase to your library for someone else to read it. I have done this many times. Divine Royals is on K/U too. I think I know what you were trying to explain @53:51.....I don't read a lot of romance (but you two are changing that for me), but when I do I prefer a Black romance because I think about the times when Black love wasn't thought of as beautiful or when our people had to get permission to marry, as a couple of my reasons. Read urban fiction/romance back in the day. Demon's Dream is on K/U..got it but it's over 750 pages????
My Dark Vanessa was such a shocking yet hard book to read. It was hard to read but I couldn't look away. I forgot it's fiction. It felt like a true story! I read it back in 2020 and still think of it from time to time. Highly recommend but not for everyone.
